Birthday flow setup

@david.toI set this type of custom property for a client and have the same issue. So the data I see for the date shows up as 5/8/1992 for example, without leading zero for the month and date.  Is that something we need to correct?  Follow-up question, is there a way to force or add a leading zero when customers don’t as they type their birthday?I too don’t see the Birthday trigger when I try to create the flow.

Any way to "click and copy" discount code from an email?

Hi David and Dov.Yes, most of these are dynamic coupons we created in Klaviyo under Shopify Coupons.  I used this and it works mysite.com/discount/{% coupon_code ‘your_code’ %}.Thank you! One question though, if we wanted to instead use a text block for this purpose (I’ve used the above with an image block and it works), do we need to create a dynamic block out of the text block before the code will work?  I’ve noticed that it doesn’t work unless the text is in a dynamic block (ie: placing the text and above code as a link in the “Table Block” for an abandoned cart flow.

Hi Dov,I’m testing this but the discount code is not applied at checkout. I’ve replaced your_code with the code that exists on the backend of WP as well as the mysite.com link is updated of course. Button takes me back to the home page, but no code gets applied on checkout.mysite.com/?discount=your_codeI’m testing this on a win-back flow email so there’s no product block, just a banner and below that a button for CTA.

Any way to "click and copy" discount code from an email?

Also, these are dynamically generated discount codes from Shopify, displayed in Klaviyo email. The CTA is below the item.product.title block and is a Button Block. I'm not sure if text or button blocks can have such custom code added to them to do this.  Any ideas?  I honestly don’t see the point in doing this, but I’m curious to know if it’s possible.

How to set a button on an email to put a tag on a contact

Hi Will,We help businesses with email marketing, Shopify, and WooCommerce sites.  We’re a digital marketing team, so we do SEO and SEM, PPC, and content creation as well.  I don’t have any clients on Shopify Plus yet...working on it :) Glad that worked for ya.  I love Klaviyo so I decided to spend some time in the community forums, see if I can help out.

Forms and Type of Flow?

Hi there,If you’ve created a Klaviyo sign up form of some kind, I know you can:Create a new list for these subscribers Create a sign-up form and link it to that specific list Create a flow that sends emails to anyone who gets added to this list as a ‘trigger’...(ie: a new welcome series maybe?) I believe if you’re using a signup form from Klaviyo, then it has to be done using Lists.  I don’t see a way to do it using segments. But it can be done easily.Hope that helps!

First name not showing in automation eamil

Hi there,If there’s no name in the contact’s profile, then the parameter will leave it blank. Here’s an example of how to catch that, and insert something in the place of the first name if it’s missing:Hey {{ first_name|default:'' }} Looks like this is what you’ve used in your email.  You see the “ at the end before the }} ? You can insert a default catch-all replacement there.  Like below: Hey {{ first_name|default:'there' }}, I noticed you noticing me.So, if my contact hasn’t supplied me with their first name, then this will see that and say:“Hey there, I noticed you noticing me. Let us know if that helps :)

Transactional email going into spam

I love the information by Dov. I’ve gone through them all myself. List cleaning, deliverability best practices, and then subject lines and content of your emails.  I’d say those are the top areas to check and set up first.  In the past, I’ve used online platforms for clients who have Gsuite or Google Workspaces emails And send out A LOT of transactional emails per day just to see how they’re being delivered. Google email accounts have limits so if you send a lot of welcome emails, order confirmations, and account registration confirmations on Google emails, it’ll be better to use service providers that allow you to send a lot more than what Google allows per day/month.

Refund confirmation email parameters

Hi Julie,I’ve set it by going through the resources on Klaviyo.com.  I’m sort of stuck at the point where we want to show the Payment Method the client used.  The website allows for a few different methods of payment, but in Klaviyo there are about 14 different options. 0-13, most of them are blank. How do we know which field is for what purpose? For example, I want to show the payment type the customer used to pay: (credit card, paypal, amazon pay).  Do all of these populate in the {{ event.Extra.Payment.Method }}. Some transactions have data in option 13 of “extra.payment” fields but other transactions done. So if we put all of these options in there, most will show up as “Undefined” on the email.  How do we know which field is for what purpose and how can we dynamically pull information from these fields ONLY if there’s data to be shown?
