Klaviyo Reviews: Older orders stuck in “Queued” — Ready to review events not firing

I'm trying to send review requests for older orders, but they're stuck in “Queued” and won't move to “Ready to review.”

Here's what I've checked:

  • The orders were placed before or around when I set up Klaviyo Reviews.

  • My review request flow is Live and triggered by Ready to review.

  • Shopify delivery events appear in customer profiles.

  • Shopify product and variant IDs match Klaviyo's catalog.

  • I clicked “Skip waiting time” on order #1007, but it remains Queued after waiting and refreshing.

  • I tried resyncing the product, with no change.

  • The “Request reviews from past orders” option is missing from my settings.

How can I generate review events for these older orders? Does the missing past-orders option mean the process was already completed, and is there a way to manually trigger or regenerate the events for queued orders?

Hi there @KPost ,

Thanks for reaching out on this, happy to offer some guidance here.

The important distinction is that “Queued” does not mean the review email is waiting in your flow. It means Klaviyo Reviews has scheduled a future Ready to review event based on the review timing settings. The review flow cannot send until that event is created.

For order #1007, selecting Skip waiting time should move the order forward, but Klaviyo notes that this is not immediate and can take several minutes. If it remains Queued after that time and there is no Ready to review event on the customer’s profile, the issue is occurring before the flow. Resyncing the product or changing the flow will not manually create that missing event.

The Request reviews from past orders option is a one-time backfill feature. It is available only within 60 days of starting Klaviyo Reviews, can be used once, and covers up to 1,000 eligible orders. If the card is missing, it may mean the backfill was already completed or that the account is outside the 60-day window. It does not confirm by itself which of those occurred.

If that option is no longer available, there is not a supported way to regenerate Ready to review events for arbitrary older orders. Those events are normally generated by Klaviyo Reviews and cannot be backfilled through the flow itself. For past purchasers outside the backfill window, the practical alternative is to use Klaviyo’s manually generated product review links in a campaign or customer-service message.

For the orders that are still Queued, I would check the following:

  • Confirm the flow trigger is the Klaviyo Reviews Ready to review metric, not a legacy Judge.me or another reviews metric.

  • Confirm the first review-request message is Live and that the flow has no filters or consent conditions excluding the affected profiles.

  • Open an affected profile and check whether a Ready to review event appears after using Skip waiting time.

  • If no event appears after several minutes, please let me know, and I will reach out over DM to collect the account ID, order IDs, profile URLs, the time Skip waiting time was selected, and screenshots of the Queued status and profile timeline. That needs to be investigated as a Reviews event-generation issue rather than a normal flow delay.

Klaviyo’s review pipeline guide, past-orders guide, and review-flow guide explain these behaviors. Let me know if you have any questions!
