Branded sending domain Verified since July, but Activate disabled and emails failing authentication

My marketing branded sending domain send.interruptedfitness.com has been configured since July 20, 2026. It shows Verified and all required DNS records show green in Klaviyo.

However, Activate remains greyed out. Hovering over it says, “Your domain records are still being set up. Please wait a few minutes and try again.”

This is now causing a deliverability problem. Microsoft 365 quarantined my Welcome Flow email as phishing because it could not verify the sender. I then tested with an unrelated Gmail account. Gmail placed the message directly in Spam and displayed: “This message isn't authenticated and the sender can't be verified.” Gmail also shows the message being sent via ksdn.klaviyomail.com.

The Klaviyo Virtual Assistant confirmed that normal DNS propagation is unlikely given that the domain has been configured since July, but it could not identify what is preventing activation.

This appears very similar to the issue reported here with a Verified branded sending domain and disabled Activate button. Could a Klaviyo team member check the domain/account state to determine why activation is locked?

hey @I_AmComic

okay, so a domain that verifies clean in Klaviyo but still has Activate greyed out isn't a DNS problem on your end, your records are fine. It's something on Klaviyo's side that's blocking activation, usually one of three things: your domain already registered as a branded sending domain on a different Klaviyo account, an active or scheduled send that Klaviyo won't let you switch away from mid-flight, or verification that finished on the backend but hasn't caught up with the UI yet.

The "via ksdn.klaviyomail.com" tag Gmail is showing you confirms this. Since Activate never went through, your emails are still routing through Klaviyo's shared infrastructure instead of send.interruptedfitness.com, so nothing lines up with the DKIM and SPF you set up on your own domain, which is what's tripping Gmail and Microsoft 365.

I can't see your account's backend state as a community member, so this needs Klaviyo Support. When you contact them, ask specifically whether the same root domain is registered as a branded sending domain on another Klaviyo account, that's the most common cause and it'll save them a diagnostic step. I will tag @GabbyEsposito @Temi O.  here so they can escalate this to the right team on Klaviyo's side. Once it's unblocked, give the domain a few send cycles before judging deliverability, it still needs to build reputation even after activation.

I hope this helps and thank you for sharing your question here in the community.
