Back in stock popup translation?

I want to setup Klaviyo with Shopify ( prestige theme ). I already had the back in stock flow active, ( i deactivated it) because the problem is that we have a multi language store. I want to have the back in stock popup in English, German and Dutch language) for our .com .com/de and .com/en. So i want to be able to translate the popup

Is it possible? If yes then how?

    Hi there,

I’m wondering.. you have different Klaviyo accounts for each store, right?

If that’s the case, why not build the Back in Stock in your main store, and then Clone it to the other stores?

That will save you some time and you can directly add the translated copy in the cloned flow (e.g. in the DE account)

    example

Let me know if that makes sense,

    Hi everyone,
I’m working on a Shopify store that sells in multiple languages (EN, NL, DE), and I want to set up one simple Back-in-Stock flow inside Klaviyo — but with three different email translations.

I know Klaviyo has a built-in translation feature for emails, but I’m not fully sure if it works with Back-in-Stock event emails.

    My question:
Is it possible to send the correct translated Back-in-Stock email (EN/NL/DE) automatically using Klaviyo’s translation features while keeping one single flow?

If anyone has done this before, I’d really appreciate your guidance or best practices!

    Thank you

    Hi @abidarif,

Yes, this is possible, and you can do so by following this guide here: How to create a multilingual email flow Smart Translations.

    Thanks @Byrne C !
One quick question — when editing the Back-in-Stock email, should the “Auto-translate / Smart Translations” option appear automatically?

I’m not seeing it yet, but this is currently a Klaviyo test store.

    Thanks again!

    @abidarif,

No problem! Since this feature is for paid accounts, you won’t see this option in a free test store, unfortunately. In a paid account, you’ll want to enable smart translations in the Account > Translation section of your settings for this option to appear.

    Hi everyone.

So what if there’s only one Klaviyo account for one Shopify account?

How would the back in stock popup form be setup for multiple local language translation (de, it, fr). Does this require Shopify site development or can Klaviyo translate on the actual form based on the language the customers browse the website?

The Klaviyo documentation also notes that only 1 back in stock form is allowed per Klaviyo account.

Thank you in advance for anyone able to find a solution.

    Hi @breo ,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Even with one Shopify store and one Klaviyo account, the one-form limit still applies. Klaviyo allows only one native Back in Stock form per account at a time, including drafts, and that form does not automatically change its button or form text based on the shopper’s Shopify language.

For German, Italian, and French, the supported workaround is to build a custom “Notify me” button and form in the Shopify theme. The storefront can use Shopify’s locale files or Translate & Adapt to display the right copy for the active language, then submit the shopper’s product variant and contact details to Klaviyo’s Create Client Back in Stock Subscription API. You can continue using a Klaviyo Back in Stock flow triggered by the Subscribed to Back in Stock event.

This does require Shopify theme development. Test it on a duplicate theme first, and disable or remove the native Klaviyo Back in Stock form so shoppers do not see duplicate buttons or forms. The API guide is in Klaviyo’s custom Back in Stock setup documentation. The Back in Stock form guide confirms the one-form-per-account limit.
