Hey everyone!

I recently started to manage an Influencer client (with 4M Followers) that sells a course and she has a weekly meeting taking place. In order to notify the people who are part of the course we need to send campaigns and have to schedule them all the time.

My idea:

What if you could tag a person with a profile property through purchase behavior (which we already do) and send weekly recurring emails based on that Tag?

Saying “If person bought product A they get Tag ‘BoughtA’” and go a step further to say “If person has Tag A, make them receive an email every Tuesday at 7 PM EST to remind them of the Meeting that takes place at 8 PM EST”

I have been talking to others about this and nobody could thing of a workaround yet so if anyone at Klaviyo would be willing to earn a raise, this might be a cool idea for you haha

Let me know what you guys think or if you have a workaround in mind!

Best

David

The workaround is quite easy with zapier.

Set a “schedule” trigger for the day of the week you want the email sent. Then an action step to create the campaign, and finish it with an action step to send the campaign.

Hi David!

I see what you mean but thats too comlicated and can’t do it right. Yes you can send campaigns like that but it also depends on the Template since it would have to choose a different template, select a segment and so on.

To have it built in within Klaviyo would be great also to safe cost that would have to be spent on Zapier because we have about 7 brands that would profit from such automations and also I want to differentiate the emails that are being sent with Tags like TagA → Send Email for Product with TagA and the other way around.

So don’t know if Zapier could handle creating 5 different emails and send them to 5 different segments as campaigns every week.

As an automation within Klaviyo this would be sick and would make them stand out from other platforms.

It’s only 3 steps. It’s not complicated. Assuming you’re sending the same template to the same segment (“TagA”), you can send 1, 2, 5, 22…as many as you like.

And if you’re sending different templates or to different segments, then even Klaviyo wouldn’t be able to automate that. At that point you’re still talking about Norma campaign emails and scheduling them into the future.

Hey @David WMYB, if you’re looking for a better solution for this you can check out my new app, Cadence.

With Cadence, you could:

  1. Create a segment for each course.

  2. Set up a weekly recurring campaign per segment, sending at the right time automatically.

Cadence was built specifically for Klaviyo and takes care of the multi-step process (campaign creation, scheduling, and tagging) in a robust and resilient way. All campaigns are automatically tagged in Klaviyo, making it easy to report on performance.
