Hi!

We’re currently setting up product reviews in our Trustpilot account.

We’re using our order confirmation email to send the product information to Trustpilot to create the review invitation.

This is the snippet from Turstpilot we’re using

Curious to know how users have added this before? Or if there’s anything to watch out for….

Hi @Tom Wood ! Thank you for reaching out to the Community.

To clarify, are you looking to connect your Klaviyo account to Trustpilot? If so, Trustpilot has a step by step guide on how to set this up: https://help.trustpilot.com/s/article/Trustpilots-Klaviyo-integration?language=en_US .

If you are wondering how to set something up specifically within your Trustpilot account, it will be best to reach out to their support team!

Hi @emma.owens, thanks for the reply.

Yes, we have the Trustpilot and Klaviyo integration, but so far, I can see that it only allows us to show Trustpilot review widgets in templates.

We are currently sending order information to Trustpilot via our order confirmation flow → this is for service reviews.

We’re now looking at sending product reviews too, however this seems to be more tricky!

Yeah, we’ve been in contact with the support team :)

Thanks for the info, Tom! Stepping in for Emma here - was there anything specific that you were having trouble setting up? While we wouldn’t have too much insight in editing the script to make sure the information sends over, if you’re having a hard time determining the correct dynamic values to add to the script, we could certainly advise on that.

Thanks @Byrne C. Yes, so the “tricky” part is that the support team has told us that if we attempt to add an HTML block (containing the script) to the order confirmation template, it would be automatically stripped out once it is sent.

So there are two questions:

  1. Is there an alternative way to add the script?
  2. How can we ensure it sends information for each product (dynamically)?

Hi @Tom Wood !

Can you confirm which event you are using to trigger this flow? If you are using Placed Order, then you can include those Placed Order event details in your email dynamically (i.e. the products the customer ordered).

Also, is the script you are referencing built by TrustPilot? It sounds like our Support Team has confirmed that this wouldn’t be possible, but it would definitely be worth reaching out to Trustpilot’s support team to see if they have a workaround for you!

I will leave this thread open for any other Community members to chime in who may have experienced this before and have any known workarounds.

Hi @emma.owens,

Just wanted to share that we were able to add the html snippet into our order confirmation template.

The event we are using is our Order Confirmation trigger, from that event we send an order confirmation email.

Within the order confirmation email, we added the trustpilot html snippet which can be found here:

How to add html snippet Trustpilot

Some tweaks were needed to get the products in the right format, but we got there in the end!

So you did not manage to integrate the script into a Klaviyo email ?

Hi @Legeakademiet, yeah we were able to add the script in the end :)

We added the script to the source code of an original block of the order confirmation and it worked fine. (A text block for example)

We also had to change:

  • The reference ID to your order number (it might come through as today’s date)
  • Reformat SKUs IDs, so Trustpilot could recognise them in the platform

Hope this helps!
