Hi there! I’m currently coming across an issue of reporting online vs POS email revenue. After doing some digging, it seems like there is no way to separate these two via a report in Klaviyo. Given the IOS changes with open rates, I worry that the revenue is becoming quite overstated with POS orders and Klaviyo marking them as “opened”. Nonetheless, it’s also important to understand how ecom is performing vs online.

Does anyone have any workarounds that they use in order to see how many sales your emails are bringing to your retail store vs online store?

Thanks!

Hi @abigailsheppard,

You’re correct - as of right now, there’s no way to separate this attribution within Klaviyo, although I can assure that our Product team is aware that this is a highly requested feature.

However, you may be able to accomplish this via a custom event using our APIs. If you haven’t already seen it, here’s our Developer guide on integrating with a Brick-and-mortar store, which is a good starting place:

In order to accomplish your use case, you would likely have to customize a new Placed Order (POS) metric that would be separate/in addition to your original Placed Order metric. This is because Klaviyo won’t be able to differentiate between Placed Order metrics that originate from your store vs. e-commerce platform.

Since this would be a custom implementation, you could always reach out to one of our wonderful Official Klaviyo Partners for any further development help you may need.
