Cannot send a test email

When I try to send a test email. The page keeps showing this error message:

“Something went wrong displaying the template”

“Please try reloading the page. If the issue persists, contact support

I have tried reloading the page but it doesn’t work. Anyone had the same issue and know how to fix it?

Thank you,

Tanya

    Hi @Tanya.gisbert ,

This error often occurs due to a browser cache issue or a problem with the email template itself. Try clearing your browser cache or using a different browser. If the issue persists, check your email template for missing or incorrect code. You can also try duplicating the template or creating a new one to test if the issue is specific to that template. If none of these steps work, contacting support would be the best option for further assistance

    Hi @Tanya.gisbert

I agree with Mansir2094...probably browser related issue but, a few other things to check if cache or browser is not the issue:

    • Check if you have any broken image links in the template
    • Look for any missing closing tags in your merge variables
    • Make sure all your personalization variables actually exist in your data source

If that doesn’t work, try creating a copy of the template and see if you can preview that version. Or even better, make a super simple test template to see if it's specific to this particular template or a broader issue.

Q: is this happening with just this one template or are you having trouble previewing all of them? Also, when's the last time you were able to successfully preview a template? That can give a clue...perhaps a recent change caused it?
