Clients can't upload large images to klaviyo reviews

Hello, I recently integrated the klaviyo reviews app to our website and I love how it looks. However, in the review submission page clients can’t upload some images. I imagine it’s due to the size? I’ve tried uploading a 1,2 MB picture and it says it’s not valid. Then I tried with a 800kb size and it was accepted.

Is there a way to fix this? We are especially asking our clients to add photos to their reviews, and we haven’t received a single image yet. Most cellphones’ photo size is larger than 1MB these days. If they can’t upload a photo, chances are they’re not going to search for another one, they’re gonna close the window and not review at all.

Please help, we want to keep using klaviyo reviews!

I am having this issue also and just did a post about it! Seems like something Klavio would have sorted out, if i knew this earlier I would have used another reviews platform, but im already set up with klavyio reviews!

Hey @María José and @Bjl.ward ! I’m Hansen and I lead the Reviews product team. We just tested and had no issues uploading images above 10MB in both HEIF and JPEG. Can you try again? If the issue persists:

Shoot me an email at hansen.liang@klaviyo.com and give me some info to help troubleshoot:

    • If you already opened a support ticket with us, give me the ticket number(s) / whatever brand Klaviyo ID you have that sees this problem
    • Please attach the original image files you tested with and are seeing failures on.

    Talk soon.

Hey @hansen can you please confirm users can now upload photos taken with their mobile phones (a few MB in size)?

Do they still need to do so via a landing page and not directly on the review request email?

@chokesports Yes, users can upload images and videos from their phones. There should be no issues uploading files a few MB in size.

And you CAN collect reviews via email: https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/28307942477211

@hansen thanks for the quick reply.

My question was actually: can users submit/upload a photo via the review request email?

I use a different review provider and would like to switch to Klaviyo Reviews, however the “review with photo upload” feature is a must-have. Currently my customers can upload multiple photos from the email itself. So if they are on their mobile phones (most people are) they can easily snap a picture and upload it.

Can I do the same with Klaviyo?
