Hey @gloomy

That’s definitely frustrating, especially when campaigns are already live and customers are hitting an error page instead of your site.

In most cases like this, the issue comes down to how the link is formatted or how Klaviyo’s click tracking is wrapping the URL. Klaviyo automatically tracks links by routing them through a tracking domain first. If the original URL is malformed, missing HTTPS, or dynamically generated incorrectly, customers can get redirected to an error page instead of the intended destination.

Here’s what I’d check first:

Make sure the full URL includes https://. If the link starts with www. or is missing the protocol entirely, Klaviyo can still wrap it, but the redirect may fail depending on the browser or security rules.

If you’re using dynamic variables inside the link, confirm the variable is always populated.

Also review your account’s branded sending domain and click tracking domain. If your branded domain is not fully authenticated, or DNS records were recently changed, link redirects can break. Open one of the sent emails, hover over the link, copy the tracked URL, and paste it into your browser to see exactly where it fails.

If you’re using a custom redirect, URL shortener, or third party tracking parameters, test the raw destination URL outside of Klaviyo to confirm it loads correctly on its own.

Since I can’t see your account directly as a community member, if everything looks correct and the issue persists, I’d recommend contacting Klaviyo Support with a specific campaign example and a copied tracked URL. They can inspect the redirect chain on their end.

Pro tip: Before sending a campaign, always send a live test email to yourself and click every primary CTA on both desktop and mobile. It sounds simple, but it catches most of these issues before customers ever see them.

I hope this helps and thank you for sharing your question here in the community. If you’re still stuck, feel free to schedule a call with us.

Cheers
