How to add an email subscribe link to a flow

To add an email subscribe link to your post-purchase flow, follow these steps:

1. Go to your Lists and Segments tab in Klaviyo.
2. Select the list you want customers to subscribe to.
3. In the top menu, choose Sign-up forms.
4. Scroll to the bottom of the page.
   • If you've customized consent pages for this list, you’ll see a Subscribe page card. Click the three dots menu and select Copy URL.
   • If you’re using the default consent pages, there will be a reminder to customize the consent pages. Below this, click Copy Subscribe Page URL.
5. Copy the URL and paste it into a CTA button in your post-purchase email.

This will direct recipients to the subscription page where they can join your email list. Let me know if you need further assistance!

Hello ​@ahutch , as ​@emma.owens and ​@Mich expert hass mentioned,  To include a subscription invite in your post-purchase email, copy the "Subscribe Page" link from the desired list in Klaviyo and append ?email={{ person.email }} to it. Add this link to a button or hyperlink in your email, e.g., “Sign up for our VIP list and get 15% off your next purchase!”. This ensures buyers can subscribe without filling out another form. Let me know if you need help implementing this!

Thanks for this. So adding this to the “subscribe page” link will automatically add them to the email list, correct? Otherwise, they will be brought to the existing signup form? 

If I have a discount already setup and automated for the original signup form, I assume having them automatically added will bypass this discount. Would that be right? So if I want to offer them the discount for signing up, I would need to have them go through the signup form?

I believe that adding ?email={{ person.email }} will fill in the email input on the subscribe page with the person’s email, but it won’t automatically subscribe people when they click the link. They’ll still need to click the button on the subscribe page to subscribe - they just won’t have to enter their email.

If you have a discount set up on your signup form, that discount won’t be on the list’s subscribe page you’re linking. You’d need to link to the page on your site that your form appears on, if you wanted these people to get the discount. Another option would be to send these people a flow email with the discount, after they subscribe.

To get the link for the subscribe page to that list, you’ll first want to create a custom subscribe page for the list. You’re on the right page to begin doing that! You’ll just need to actually create the page. When you’re editing the subscribe page, you’ll see a shareable link on the left side - that’s the link you’d want to include in your email.

​@onemonic, You’d want to test this out, but to automatically add their first and last name when they click the link, you’d want to add UTM parameters to the URL that look like this (email included): ?email={{ person.email }}&first_name={{ first_name }}&last_name={{ last_name }}

​@Gracecheese1, The list this is directed to will be whatever list’s subscribe page you’re using!

Is anyone still using the ?email={{ person.email }} Param on a List subscribe page to auto-applythe persons email address to the email field on signup? 

We are attempting this, but encountering a page error. 
Klaviyo support also advised they no longer support this function natively. 

End goal: We want existing customers to be able to subscribe to a separate newsletter list via a single CTA button in a teaser email. Ideally we’d pass their email to the subscribe page input fields to make signup one less step.
