Hello,

I’m experiencing an issue with my Klaviyo tracking links. When I send a test email and click on a link, instead of loading my Shopify website, I often get the error “Too many requests.”

On my laptop, the website sometimes loads correctly, but on my phone I always see the “Too many requests” message and the site doesn’t load at all. If I refresh the page, the website usually comes through fine and works as expected.

Do you have any tips on how to resolve this? I already submitted a support ticket yesterday but haven’t received a reply yet. I hoped someone here could maybe have a fix.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi @DG030 ,

Thanks for sharing the details. It sounds like the issue might be related to your Shopify site temporarily rate-limiting traffic coming from Klaviyo tracking links, especially on mobile.

Here are a few things you could try:

  1. Turn off click tracking in Klaviyo (just for testing) — this can help confirm if tracking links are causing the issue.

  2. Check Shopify settings or any installed apps (like firewalls, bot protection, or traffic filters) that might be limiting repeated requests from the same device or IP.

  3. Test in incognito/private mode on your phone or a different browser to rule out caching/cookie issues.

  4. Make sure your site isn't being overloaded by too many test clicks in a short period — Shopify may temporarily rate-limit repeated requests.

Good call on submitting a support ticket already — hopefully they’ll get back to you soon with a more permanent fix. In the meantime, if turning off click tracking resolves the issue, that could be a helpful clue.

Let us know if any of that helps!
