The placeholder is there only when you are doing previews so you don’t actually unsubscribe the user while sending test emails. In a real email, the user will go to the unsubscribe confirmation page.

+15The placeholder you’re seeing is shown only during test sends to prevent any accidental unsubscribes during the preview phase. In an actual email sent to your recipients, they will be directed to the proper unsubscribe confirmation pagem when they click the link :-)
