Updating segments with future communication

Welcome to the Community! Hope I can provide some info regarding how segments and new data work!

When you create a segment it will pull qualifying Profiles right away. If a Segment has already been created it and someone qualified after, you can see in our Help Article it states: 
“Segmentation requests are processed as close to real-time as possible. This means your segment will update shortly after a customer takes an action that qualifies them based on the definition you created (e.g., placing an order or opening an email). In some cases, a high volume of segmentation requests across our customer base can cause delays.

• If you manually update a segment, it can take up to 15 minutes to process
• If you are monitoring a segment, updates can take up to an hour”

So as long as you have a way in your Klaviyo account for 1. A user’s location to be saved in their profile and 2. A method to update that information or collect that data, it will save.
