When setting “Shopper login” in Klaviyo Hub to Shopify, customers are taken to the Shopify account login screen.
However, after logging in, they’re redirected to the Shopify account overview page instead of returning to the customer hub — which can be confusing for users.
Is this expected behavior, or could it be a bug?

As of now, this is expected behavior. People will be taken to the login screen, then back to the account overview page upon logging in. Definitely understand how this creates extra steps for customers, so as an alternative, you could change your shopper login settings to Klaviyo One Time Password. This will send a password to users emails when they attempt to log in, and won’t cause multiple redirects, allowing them to stay on the customer hub page.

Thanks for the replies!
Part of our website (the community section) requires users to be logged in before they can access it.
I tested the Klaviyo One-Time Password (OTP) option — it successfully logs users into the Hub, but it doesn’t log them into Shopify, so it’s not a complete solution for our setup.

Fair, I understand how this isn’t ideal! I reached out to our product team and recommended that we implement a way to log in to Shopify through the Customer Hub without redirecting.
