Hi everyone, sorry i’m completely lost…

How do I convert a profile from a Zapier app (systeme.io) directly into an email list to trigger an email flow without the lead needing to provide email confirmation?

Even if I uncheck the double opt-in on the specific list, it remains permanently enabled. I've been using it for several days and I'm wasting my time. I need your help please.

Thanks a lot for your time

Hi all,

We have a simple setup for our Linktree on Instagram. It collects email addresses only and sends the data to Zapier using a webhook (Catch Hook). In Zapier, the Klaviyo Zap is configured to ‘create or update profiles’ and then add them to a list called “Linktree Sign Up.”

This list in Klaviyo is set to single opt-in.

In testing, there’s no reason to think that Zapier or Klaviyo would be causing issues with single opt-in.

I’d suggest creating a completely separate list and making a second Zap. See if you can get an email to subscribe with single opt-in there. If that works, trace it back one step further to the Zapier trigger integration and check the parameters there.

Thanks Tim

@edm-PRO Are you referring to profiles that subscribed to the list prior to the removal of the double opt-in setting? Unfortunately, the setting does not retroactively apply to profiles that subscribed before the change was implemented. Could you please confirm whether new profiles are being added to the list without requiring opt-in?

No, actually. Even for profiles added after deactivation, double consent remains active.

Consent is already provided by another software.

@edm-PRO Could you please identify the specific API calls made by Zapier by filtering with the private API key you provided, using the logs available at https://www.klaviyo.com/developer-tools/logs, and share the details here?

Hey @edm-PRO,

Did you manage to get this figured out? If so, would you mind sharing what steps you took to solve this issue? If not, we can take a closer look, if you have an example of an API call that was used to subscribe these profiles. Thanks!

Hi @Conciliated

Have you tried speaking to Zapier support about this? I find their support team very responsive and helpful and they might be able to add some extra insight as to what might be happening here.

Alternatively, if you share a screenshot of the Zap you’re building and the actions you have selected, that might help others in the community spot what is wrong. Are you using the “Add profile to List” action or the “Subscribe Profile” action? Perhaps try switching between the two to see which provides the behaviour you’re looking for.

Thanks,
Ross
