New functions for editor - WHY

Who is responsible for the UI updates?

Could you please ask them why they added an extra step for replacing images in the editor? Replacing images is something designers do all the time. Now, instead of simply replacing an image, we have to click the three dots first and then choose Replace.

Why add extra steps? Why make such a common task more difficult for no apparent reason?

Hi @Nemo_dsgnr ,

I have to agree with you here, that does sound frustrating and does seem like an uneccessary extra step.

To be frank, I’m not aware of any public explanation for that specific change, but I do think it’s fair feedback. For something as routine as swapping an image, adding another click is not ideal.

I’ve gone ahead and shared that feedback directly with the product team!

Thank you @Temi O. Temi,

Finally, someone who understands…

I reached out to support as well, but their replies were completely unhelpful.
