Hi,

I have an SMS list with a dedicated subscription page that only employees can access. The purpose is as follows: A customer comes into the store and hands us a prescription. The employee then enters their first name, last name, prescription date, and phone number.

After six months, the prescription needs to be renewed, and the customer should receive an SMS reminder.

I have started a flow that is triggered when a new record is added. How can I access the date and set up an SMS to be sent exactly six months from that date?

Hey @beinfein,

You want to send these customers an SMS 6 months after their prescription date, correct? In that case, I’d recommend setting up a date-triggered flow instead. In most flows, you can’t set up a time delay to wait a certain amount of time after a date property, but in a date-triggered flow, you can do this, for the date that triggers the flow.

To set this up, you’d create a flow triggered by a date, and then select the property name. Let’s call it “Prescription date.”

From there, set the flow to start on the date of the property, and choose if you’d like it to repeat, and how frequently:

Finally, add a 6 month time delay under the trigger. You can then add an email under the delay.

Whenever somebody’s date property is changed, they’ll be evaluated for the flow again. Let me know if this makes sense, or if I can answer any additional questions!

Hi, thanks, but it’s not working. I can only select a few properties, for example. I chose “Expected Date Of Next Order.” Then, for testing, I set a delay of 1 minute and the SMS to be sent. In the form, I have First Name, Last Name, and Date (Expected Date Of Next Order). However, no SMS is being sent.

These are the only properties I can select.

Hey again @beinfein,

I believe it’s not working because Expected Date Of Next Order is already a Klaviyo property used in our Predictive Analytics. You’d need to use another property that isn’t a pre-existing Klaviyo property, so if your form is capturing the date as “Expected Date of Next Order,” I’d recommend changing that property.

You mentioned that the SMS isn’t being sent. When you view the details for the SMS in the flow, and navigate to the Recipient Activity tab, is it being skipped, or are people still waiting? Are profiles entering this section at all?

So how i use another property? Only got the one above to select. Theres only one profile, the one i put in there for test.

Any Idea?
