One of our partners uses Klaviyo and our product feed is integrated and passing. We recently updated our feed to include categories as comma separated values, for them to use in email marketing; however, the categories field is not showing in Klaviyo under “Configure field mapping”.

My only assumption is because not all products are including this value (some products aren’t in categories so we did not pass the value). Would that be the reason this field is not showing in the list or is there some other reason that might prevent it?

If all products must include the categories list, can you please share what should be passed in the field when there are no categories? Would it just be <categories></categories> ?

Hi @mtetzlaff,

Welcome to the community! Can you make sure that the first product in your XML/JSON feed has the Categories field, with at least one actual category in that field? Not every product needs a category, but Klaviyo will look at the fields of the first product when it attempts to map the fields.
