I was working on a client project on  free trial klaviyo plan and the client did not inform me that he had 14k list but after registering i discovered that he had the list and the trial package now prompt us to subscribing, is there any way i can remove the 14k list and still have my free trials?

Hi @Unanimous_Anoymous_Marketer,

If you have more profiles than the free plan allows (250), you can remain on the free plan indefinitely, but you just won’t be able to send any emails until your active profile count is under 250, or you upgrade your plan. So if you’d like to stay on the free plan while you connect integrations, and build out flows/forms/segments, you certainly have the option to do so!

As @cadence mentioned above, you can suppress profiles, which allows you to keep their data, but makes it so you’re unable to email them. You don’t have to pay for suppressed profiles, so that’s an option! If you have profiles that you don’t even want in Klaviyo at all, you can delete profiles on the Profile Maintenance page. Note that this tool deletes a full list of profiles at a time, and once deleted, these profiles can’t be recovered.

In short, you have 4 options:

  1. Stay on the free plan while you get set up, and keep the active profiles, but be unable to send any emails.
  2. Suppress some profiles so they remain in Klaviyo, but don’t count towards your active profile count
  3. Delete profiles so they no longer exist in Klaivyo at all
  4. Upgrade your plan to a tier that allows for 14k profiles (or as many as you have after suppressing/deleting).

Let me know if this makes sense, or if I can help out with anything else!

@Unanimous_Anoymous_Marketer, you should be able to suppress these profiles to get things set up while you’re still on the free plan. If your goal, however, is to have this number of subscribers once they go live, your client will need to pay at that point.

Klaviyo bills on active — subscribed or never subscribed — profiles. They don’t bill you for inactive — unsubscribed or manually suppressed — profiles.
