Track Events Metric DEPRECATED

Ok, I see the new event has been changed to Create Event using the new API. Hopefully someone can help me out as I am terrible with APIs. I’m using Integromat using the custom API. Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong as far as the Error Messages JSON Param{  "data": {    "type": "event",    "attributes": {      "profile": {        "email ": "email@email.com"      },      "metric": {        "name": "User Logged In"      },      "properties": {        "email": "email@email.com"      },      "time": "{{now}}"    }  }}  status 400 code invalid title Invalid input. detail At least one profile identifier is requiredAny email must be valid. Flow Trigger/Conditional Split - If Someone is In a Segment

Ok good question. I should have elaborated enough….I have a form on the site where a user signs up, but I only want to sign them up if they are new to my brand and don’t have a profile. So there are two issues:You can’t sign people up to a Segment If they fill out the form and signup to the mailing list, there is no filter to only allow users who do not have a profile to continue with the flow.So I’m caught in between Mailing List to start a Flow from a Form and filtering only the users that do not have a profile.

Just for reference:I placed the Shopify code in the theme.liquid template right above the </body> tag I created a new API Key that only gave Read/Write access to the Event parameter.

Track Signup/Popup Views and Actions

Thanks for getting back. My apologies, I should have been more clear. What I am referring to is the ability to add a metric when the user actually clicks on a form or views a form that is not a Signup. My Popups are not Signup forms.they are just buttons for URL Links. Use Case: when they use your logs in, I have a pop-up letting them know that across great discount is available for them. The pop-up has a URL button link and when they click the button it will send them to the cross great. I want to be able to track if the user clicked it and did not purchase and then I can put them through another flow.

I, too, am having the same problem with Products and Collections. The solution above does not solve it.

Need Tracking Code for Logged In

I’ve made some minor progress for anyone interested. You are able to create your own custom Metrics using Integromat. So for any metric that is connected to my Shopify as an event, I am able to create a custom API metric to shoot over to Klaviyo. It’s pretty powerful.Unfortunately, the Shopify Webhooks do not include User Search Terms, and When a user logs in, so I still need custom code for that.

Spent a whole week trying to get AddtoCart to Collections Pages

Yeah, I’m trying to look at some other methods such as using a webhook using Integromat to get the data in there. It makes the store very limiting when you can’t use the Add to Cart Event from Collection pages. Feature Request: Klaviyo to have server-side tracking for more events like this.

I found no fix for this other than paying for expensive Segment.io. I had to change up my entire site just to work around this limitation. The JavaScript code didn’t work.

[Shopify] Viewed Product Image Empty

This is all sorted out, because I’m using Gempages on my Shopify cart, the Product Liquid page has been altered. So I had to install the code on the Theme Template page. So that took care of some stuff. The other thing I did was create a Flow filter to not include anyone in the flow, where the Product ID was not present. So that eliminated all of the false emails. Hope this helps someone else.

Mailchimp Opened Email Metric Triggered in Klaviyo ?

Thanks for the response. The issue I’m having is that I just transferred all of my data over to Shopify and Klaviyo from other carts and mail software. As a result, I have segments of customers who have not purchased any upgrades or expansions. The problem is that I have no way to get past purchasers into a Flow in order to market to them. Yes, I can send a manual email, but I want to get them into a Flow sequence. So the only way I see to do this is to send out a mail and monitor who either opened or clicked on an email and get them into a flow. You guys don’t allow backdating flows for dynamic segments.  So any other way to get Past purchasers who are in a Segment into a Flow?

Abandoned Cart vs Checkout Started

Hi @jmacman! Great question. We do recommend using two flows, one with each trigger you mentioned. The Add to Cart flow captures browsers who may not make it to the checkout page, while the Started Checkout flow captures those who start a checkout but don’t finish it.  The Started Checkout event shows a higher degree of intention than the Add to Cart event, so you can tailor the two flows accordingly. Just make sure to add this filter to the “Add to Cart” flow:  What someone has done > Started Checkout > zero times since joining this flow  That way, your customers won’t get both flows at the same time :)    I hope this helps!      Elise And just to be clear, this flow requires custom code in the Shopify themes right?
