Sharing emails for approval before sending campaign to customers
Our Marketing Team is running into an issue where we cannot accurately share our campaigns for approval via email before sending them to our customer list. There is a chain of command to which we must send these campaigns for approval. Unfortunately, when we send them via Klaivyo or forwarding, the email breaks, or half of the content is missing, especially when we use features such as our product feed or tables.
I’ve reached out to Klaivyo, and the only response I received was that they do not encourage forwarding. I see why, but is there a workaround? Is there some way I can send our emails to our boss without them looking wonky/missing content?

Welcome to the community @KatieSWhitlow
There are a few ways to share your emails for team approval.
The best way is to include those team emails in the ‘Preview & test” when you’re within the email editor. The button is top right top in the email editor. That will open the dialog box below. Add your team emails, comma seperated, and enable “save emails” if you want to re-use that list easily. This approach is the closest to a live send as it will include subject line, preview text, and any personalisation (for the profile’s data selected).
Or are you saying you’ve done the above, the email looks OK in your preview, but it breaks when received from the test send?
Another option is to select the campaign or flow email and click to preview. That will open its webview. Share that url with your team. However, they will need to have a Klaviyo login to see it and they won’t see the subject line and preview text.
Hope that helps but, if not, let me know.
Andy
We’ve done both options, and it still has not been sent correctly. We find that the issue occurs for PC users. I just sent an actual email campaign (not test) to our internal group and they received the email like this:
I have a mac so I never run into this issue, everything is always seemless. Whether it’s a test or real campaign.
Hi @KatieSWhitlow
Hmm, Outlook which can render emails incorrectly. I had a formatting issue in Outlook for an email a client had been using that broke a table which was a relatively easy fix.
I’ll DM you my test email address which I can view in gmail and Outlook. If you send it to me, I’ll see if I can spot the issue.
Regards
Andy
Yes, that would be great! I’ll be on the lookout for your message.

Hi @KatieSWhitlow
Unfortunately (or fortunately!) it’s rendering OK for me in a gmail web client, Outlook desktop client, and outlook web client, so I’m not seeing the same issue as you in Outlook.
Is your team running the most recent versions of Outlook? Older versions used Word as the rendering engine while the latest uses a web browser.
Even so, that gives rise to the concern that live recipients may receive an incorrectly displayed email. There are a number of email client testing apps out there (Litmus etc) to test across a wide range of clients, but they cost.
If you haven’t already, you could try setting the images in the Klaviyo email editor to have specific width and height dimensions rather than leave as ‘auto’ for both. From your screengrab, it may be that Outlook is displaying the images as full size.
