Hi everyone,

I’m currently building an Abandoned Cart flow and want to show the exact products that each customer has added to their cart.

I noticed that Klaviyo now allows creating a Product Feed with the filter “Products someone has added to cart.”

My question is:
– If I use this product feed and insert it into my flow email (via a Product Block), will it automatically display the specific cart items each customer abandoned?
– Or do I still need to build a Dynamic Table Block using event data (event.items or event.extra.line_items) from the “Added to Cart” or “Checkout Started” event to make it accurate?

I want to confirm which method is more reliable for showing the real abandoned cart contents, especially when customers add multiple items.

Thanks in advance for your help! 🙏

Hi @megahuy2

Thank you for posting your question in the community, and great question.

It is my understanding that the product feed option, depending on how your configure the product block (number of rows/columns/etc.) will show some of the products a users have added to their cart over all time.

Whereas, setting up a dynamic section or table and using the checkout started event, will show exactly the products that were last abandoned in the cart.

I would recommend using the dynamic section/table and using data from the checkout started event for your abandoned cart flow to show the exact items someone has left in their cart.

The product feed option, in my opinion, is best suited for creating cross-sell/up sell product recommendations based on items users have abandoned or purchased in the past.

I hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any additional questions!
