Struggling with the price drop trigger in Shopify

I used the price drop flow template. First i tried it on an item with 3 variants (each variant is a different size and a different price). I used shopify’s compare at feature and dropped the price. The flow didn’t trigger. Then I read that all variants must be the same price. So I tried it on a different product that is a single product, no variant. It’s still not triggering. Any thoughts?

Hi,
A Price Drop event is determined by examining the entire product, not individual variants. The Price Drop Flow will only activate when every variant of a product is reduced to an identical price point....For your single-product scenario with no variants, you might want to check if special pricing and dates align correctly
