Hi @Yoavshaf,Typically, the Abandoned Browse (Viewed Product-triggered) and Abandoned Cart (Added to Cart-triggered) flows include the {{ event.URL }} variable to dynamically link to the page of the product that was viewed or added to cart.The Shopify Abandoned Checkout (Started Checkout-triggered) flow typically includes the {{ event.extra.checkout_url}} variable to dynamically link to checkout and repopulate their cart.Given the name of the flow in your screenshot, my hunch is it should be the latter. @Dan N yeah, that would be my assumption as well. Hopefully after a few weeks of steady traffic to the domain after you registered for Postmaster Tools, the data will begin to display.And thanks for sharing that reply from Klaviyo support. That could certainly explain the recent drop in Open Rates as well.

Is there a way to do a bulk update of custom properties on all active profiles?

Hey @AndreaYork_FlagMaker,The below is one way to achieve this (if I’m understanding your use case correctly):Create a segment that pulls in all profiles that you’d like to update Create a segment-triggered flow off of the above segment Add an Update Profile Property action to update the respective existing property (e.g. “emailFrequency”) with the value “weekly”. Or if it’s a new property you’re creating, you would simply Create a New Property Set the Profile Property action live and then add past profiles to the flow!The above steps will ensure that all desired profiles now have the profile property set and updated on their profile.Let me know if you have any follow-up questions!Cheers,Bobby

@Dan N great, let me know what you see there in Postmaster once you’re in. The Spam Rate, IP Reputation and Domain Reputation views will be the more useful ones.It’s encouraging and positive to hear that your click rates have increased for the highly engaged subscriber segment.Based on what you’ve shared and other cases I’ve come across, my current hypothesis is that Gmail might be sending more emails to spam for your “disengaged” audience than before. It’s possible that a lot of the opens from this audience have been machine opens, which can extend to Gmail users who add their Gmail inbox to their Apple Mail account. Those machine opens will occur to messages delivered to the inbox. But, I don’t believe they’ll occur for messages delivered to spam, which is how open rates could decrease.That’s just a hypothesis - but, can be tested by segmenting out your machine opens vs. non-machine opens, as well as reviewing the data that Postmaster shares with you. Hi @BS69,Will try my best to help out here :)First, I’m making an assumption that these contacts are US-based. Otherwise, if marketing consent was not explicitly expressed, depending on the region (e.g. Europe and GDPR), it could be non-compliant to be reaching out asking for marketing consent.Depending on the size of the database, and if the customer email database spans several years and/or contains many contacts who have not been consistently receiving emails consistently, it could be a safer approach to email this group in batches vs. all in one send. This could reduce the risk of negatively impacting your sender reputation.It would also allow you to monitor engagement of the initial batches to see if it’s worth continuing to send to this audience.Your approach of an “opt-in” campaign vs. an “opt-out” one is spot on and what I’d recommend to ensure only active and engaged contacts that want to receive marketing emails remain on the list. @Dan N ah, yeah, any time you’re making updates to your DNS that disclaimer message will appear.If it adds any comfort, for example, I’ve personally helped adjust the DNS records for a couple of dozen brands and (thankfully) have never experienced such an issue, despite that disclaimer message appearing. Most of the adjustments I made were relatively straightforward ones such as here (e.g. adding a singular TXT record). But, understand the hesitancy given the disclaimer message received. It’s rather standard and recommended practice for brands who send to Gmail recipients to create a Postmaster account. But, understand the hesitancy given the disclaimer text when modifying DNS records.Postmaster is the only official platform to view your sender reputation directly for Gmail. Hi @Dan N,Will try my best to help out here!For starters, have you registered your domain on Google’s Postmaster Tools? This will allow you to see how Google/Gmail is rating you as a sender, showing you reports such as domain reputation and IP reputation. It will also share with you spam complaint rate for Gmail recipients on an aggregate level, something that Klaviyo isn’t able to report on because there is no feedback loop between Gmail <> Klaviyo.Let me know if you’ve registered there and what you’re seeing for reporting! Otherwise, an immediate step you could take is to adjust your sending behavior to only send to your most engaged Gmail subscribers (e.g. subscribed or engaged in the last 90 days) for a bit.Cheers,Bobby

Conditional Split for Abandoned Cart Flow of High Value vs Low Value not working

@caitlinlmh thanks for sharing the additional information there.My hunch is that it might require a Shopify developer to reconfigure the Added to Cart event so that the $price value of the event reflects the cart total.I understand you mentioned the below in your original post:I made this Abandoned Cart flow a while back to the specifications that Klaviyo mentions, as well as fixing a little bug of the $value needing to be Price instead to register the items. In this Added to Cart tracking snippet section, an example event payload is shown. Here, the $value property reflects the total cart value while an additional top-level property of "AddedItemPrice" displays the item price.I’ve shared the above doc with several clients’ developers who have built this enhanced Added to Cart tracking. A benefit is that each subsequent event during a user’s session will include existing items added to cart in the “Items” array. Is there a way to automate flow creation

@MiltonEus I’m wondering if there’s a way to execute the below workflow:When a user expresses interest in the pre-order, trigger an event (e.g. “Registered for Pre-order”) to their profile This should be relatively straightforward to execute with custom event tracking When the pre-order reaches 50% of target, re-send the list of “Registered for Pre-order” events to the same profiles but with the current timestamp. Before sending the event, change the name of the event to “Eligible for Pre-order”, for example.I’m not sure if it’s possible to execute that workflow within your app. But, it sounds like the primary purpose of the second event is to simply trigger a flow message when the pre-order has reached 50% toward its objective. It sounds like it doesn’t contain any additionally-necessary event properties?

Is there a way to automate flow creation

Hi @MiltonEus,Welcome to the community!At the moment, there isn’t an API endpoint to “Create Flow” via a POST request like there is to “Create Campaign”. So, to my knowledge, it’s not possible to automatically create a flow. It’s an interesting use case though and you may certainly not be the first to desire this type of feature.Just to brainstorm a possible workaround, would there be a way to create an evergreen event-triggered flow off of that custom metric (e.g. “Pre-order Passed Objective”) and assigning that metric as an event to all profiles who expressed interest towards the product? Which would enable them to enter the flow?The metric could contain a top-level property (e.g. “Pre-order Name”) with a unique value for each pre-order initiative. That would allow you to reference that property within the flow structure (if helpful).I see where it could get complicated if each pre-order initiative requires unique flow criteria / structure. But, wanted to share a few thoughts there.

Conditional Split for Abandoned Cart Flow of High Value vs Low Value not working

I think I see what you’re saying with the one item in each event - are you saying that one item would need to be greater than 59.94 in order to go into the High Value?Correct. Assuming that each of your Added to Cart events only include one item (which is the default structure for the Shopify snippet), and considering that you currently don’t have any items priced above $59.94, that could explain the behavior in the flow.If you inspect recent Added to Cart events, do you see only one item listed in each? Or, do you see multiple items listed in an “Items” array (i.e. an expandable property)?If the former, then that’s likely the issue. I was under the impression that it was triggered by the one item, but that the TOTAL cart value at the time of abandonment is what it was using. Is that not the case? Because that’s the behavior I’m wanting! The trigger split is referencing the PriceAmount event property, which I’m assuming is the price for the individual item t

Hi @caitlinlmh,Appreciate the detail you included in your post. I’ll try to help out here.Out of curiosity, is your “Added to Cart” event set to only include one item in each event? Or, if people add multiple items to cart during a session, do subsequent “Added to Cart” events include previously added items during their session?The reason I ask is because the default behavior for this event is the former. So, if the majority of the items you sell are under the $59.94 threshold, it would be expected that only individual items above that threshold would go down the “No” path.Another area worth confirming is to ensure that the “PriceAmount” attribute being referenced in the flow is the desired price attribute to reference in the Added to Cart event (often times there are multiple price-related attributes).Will stay tuned for your reply!Cheers,Bobby

Hi @Morganabevan,Welcome to the community!Approach #1You could achieve this by creating a profile property update flow that would create or update a profile property based on an item that was ordered. Creating a profile property tag in Klaviyo is essentially “tagging”.Below is an example of how this would look as a flow: Where I highlighted in pink is where you could select the desired products to classify someone as a “discount buyer” who would go down the first path. You would just need to insert multiple “or” statements there for each product you’d like included, which can be cumbersome depending on how many products are in your catalog. This would only need to be done once, though.Approach #2An alternative approach would be to group “discount buyers” and “full-price buyers” by segment.What you could do here is create two separate segments with the desired criteria for each. Enabling double opt-in in the list settings is one of the best measures you can take. Hi @topgummy -Thanks for writing! I’ll list out steps below to one approach that could help you achieve this:First, it might be best to set up a segment-triggered profile property tag flow. The segment criteria could simply be “Placed Order zero times over all time”. This flow would include a profile property action to create a boolean profile property (e.g. “Never Placed Order”) with a value of TRUE. You’ll likely want to add past profiles to the flow to retroactively tag all profiles who have not yet placed an order Then, you’d also want to create a separate profile property tag flow for when people do place an order. This would be triggered by a different segment that essentially contains “Placed Order at least once over all time”. That would be set to update the “Never Placed Order” property with a value of FALSE. Finally, you would follow the instructions here to create a show/hide condition with profile data based for the text block with the coupon code. You’ll want to only show

@Alis for those contacts to be added to your Klaviyo account, they’ll need to confirm their subscription via the double opt-in confirmation email that was sent to them.Without confirming, they won’t be added to the account and you won’t have access to those users’ email addresses, which is the expected behavior for the double opt-in setting.If you’d like to pursue further, I’d suggest reaching out to Klaviyo support so they could reply directly and share what their policy is in these situations!Cheers,Bobby

Hi @TungKeslyKomen,Welcome to the community!Considering this is a Customer Thank You email, my hunch is that the issue could be with the second piece of criteria in your screenshot of “Has Placed Order at least once since starting the flow”.When the user places an order, that will enter them in the flow (assuming the event that triggers the flow is “Placed Order”). That second piece of criteria is stating that the user must place another order after they’ve entered the flow in order to be eligible to receive any messages.To confirm if the above is the issue, what you can do is follow this guide [Troubleshooting why a flow message skipped a profile] to view the skipped reasons for that particular message.Let me know if I can be of any further help.Cheers,Bobby

Gmail Spam Complaints + How To Suppress Them

@molly_fatearth apologies for not being clear in my initial response. To clarify, to my knowledge, there is no way to find out which Gmail users have marked your emails as spam.Which is why sending to engaged segments and sunsetting disengaged email subscribers when appropriate are often the best approaches we can take to mitigate sending to those Gmail recipients that have previously marked an email as spam.Would be curious to hear from others in the community though if what I shared above sounds accurate. Or, if anyone knows of a way to have visibility into the individual Gmail recipients who have marked an email as spam, please reply!Cheers,Bobby

Hi @molly_fatearth,Welcome to the community - thanks for writing in with this topic!As you stated, Gmail does not send a report to Klaviyo (or any ESP) of users that marked an email as spam. So, Klaviyo will never know if a Gmail user marked the email as spam.Postmaster Tools by Gmail will share with you an aggregate, but not individual, report. That’s why it’s critically important to send to engaged segments and sunset email subscribers when appropriate.(The above is what was posted by a Klaviyo deliverability expert months back in a separate community, for reference).Cheers,Bobby

Hi @Alis,Could you confirm if the list’s consent settings are set to double or single opt-in?A common reason for this discrepancy is when the list’s consent setting is set to double opt-in. The difference could then be made up of people who submitted their email address in the form but have not yet confirmed their consent via email (which is required for them to be added to the list).Let me know what the consent setting is for the list and I can follow up with additional troubleshooting steps / thoughts if it is set to single opt-in!Cheers,Bobby

Thanks for following up with the additional discoveries.Yeah, I’ve seen it’s not uncommon for people to use a secondary email address to receive a discount offer (e.g. from a popup when they first visit the site). Then, insert a more actively monitored primary email address at checkout once they’ve decided they like to order.Great idea with the Shopify segment!Cheers,Bobby
