Subscriber But No Opt In???

@wsperuzzi - Since your email list was set to double opt-in, it is likely that the 22 profiles did not click the confirmation link in the email. If you look at the profiles, does it show a confirmation email being sent to them? (Our list is single opt-in, so I don’t know if a confirmation email shows in profile activity or not.)You might want to take a look at the confirmation page and opt-in email to make sure they align with what you want them to say - let them know on the confirmation page that they need to click the link in the emaiil to be fully subscribed, and make sure the opt-in email is clear as well. On the consent section of the list, there should be a link to the confirmation page/opt-in email. You can set up different confirmation pages/opt-in emails for different lists, or you can set “defaults” so that they are all the same.

Enrolling Customers manually Into An Email Flow

@Uncarved Block,When you navigate to a profile, view their lists/segments, and then click the Add to List button from that screen, they are NOT entered into flows. This warning shows up for me:However, if you add them via import or quick add, they *should* be entered into flows.Hope this helps!

@tanyal,Oh, I’m so sorry that the capitalization was a problem! I capitalized it so it would stand out 🤦Looking back at my notes, when I used “or”, it was definitely lowercase; it didn’t occur to me that it would make a difference, but now it makes sense. So glad you were able to figure it out! 😀

All my email sign ups default to never subscribed

Hi @Ed_Bardo,I’m not familiar with Shopify - but here’s what I know about Klaviyo: When a list is created, I believe it defaults to double opt-in, which means the subscriber receives a confirmation email after submitting the form. If they don’t click the link in the email, then they haven’t technically “subscribed”. While Klaviyo remends double opt-in, you can change the list settings to single opt-in if you want - there are pros and cons to both options.To check the settings, open the list, click on settings, then click on consent.If you update the list settings to single opt-in, future customers who fill out the form will be added to the list. If you change the list settings, you can also export the “never subscribed” customers and upload them to the list, and I believe there is an option to mark them as “subscribed” when uploading.If your list is already set to single opt-in, then unfortunately I’m not sure what the issue is.Good luck!

Hi @tanyal,Glad at least part of it worked for you!I have one more idea for the middle group - try this:person|lookup:'Smile Points Balance' >= 1000 AND person|lookup:'Smile Points Balance' < 2000I’m hoping the error just means that you need to add the “lookup” part twice. I’ve been able to use this type of logic using OR when the variables were fixed (not a range of numbers), so maybe it will work for a range when using AND - ??Good luck!!

Hi @tanyal,For the customers between 500 and 999, use this logic in the block:person|lookup:'Smile Points Balance' <= 999 For customers that have 2000 or more, use this:person|lookup:'Smile Points Balance' >= 2000 Customers who have 1000 to 1999 are a bit more tricky - I’m not sure if it will work, but try this:person|lookup:'Smile Points Balance' >= 1000 AND < 2000Let me know how it turns out for you! Exiting Abandoned Cart Flow and Profile Property Update

Hi @lbombardier,I’m so sorry, I didn’t see your most recent response until just now!Yes, your trigger flows and filters look correct. In fact, the error was mine - I get “Abandoned Cart” and “Abandoned Checkout” confused ALL THE TIME; so much so that I actually named my abandoned cart differently - in my account it is “Abandon Add To Cart”, so I can easily understand which one it is!So sorry for the confusion!! 😂

Hi @lbombardier, According to this article, I believe that trigger filters are only checked for the person to enter the flow, but profile filters are checked before each step.So for question 1, you would not have to add the profile filter to each step, since it will be checked each time.For question 2, I think you are correct; if they purchase, then they will never have their profile property updated.If you want to make sure you skip customers who are in a flow, you an do that with Smart Sending; this feature allows campaigns to skip profiles who have received an email in the past N number of days. Go to your settings, then email, and there you can edit Smart Sending hours/days; you just need to make sure Smart Sending is turned on when you send a campaign.One other thing to note - I noticed that your profile filter is Started Checkout. This could be a difference in integrations; my filter is Placed Order zero times, since many times customers will start the checkout process, but not

Welcome flow - 2 lists

Hi @DarleenW,If you use AND for the join, your segment will return only customers who are on both list A and list B.If you use OR for the join, your segment will return all customers in both lists (but they will not be in the segment more than once, if they happen to be on both lists.)

@bluesnapper - thanks for the explanation, it definitely makes sense! I think we are just getting our wires crossed, haha!If the segment I was envisioning worked correctly, it would pull in everyone who made a purchase 366 days before “today”. (366 b/c of leap day) Of course, the customers who were added the day it is created would not go in the flow. But tomorrow, when the original customers no longer qualify, and customers are pulled in who made a purchase 366 days before “today” (which is now tomorrow), then they would go through the flow. I have screen shots of my idea and what it returns, using the Birthday field, since I don’t have a First Purchase date in my account.Segment conditions Here are the results: Segment returns Here is my profile with a (fake) birthday of 2023-05-02 Profile with birthday What I don’t understand is why the other record (United - MW Newsletter) is in the segment, when the Birthday for that profile is 2023-05-03. Issue with sunset flow

@stephen.trumble,Ok, I have another wrench to throw into this. Since this is a sunset flow, I have a segment of people who have received/dropped/bounced the initial email, but did not click on the link to stay active. In the email, we state that we won’t send them more emails unless they click the button. So for campaigns, I exclude this segment; I don’t suppress them right away to give them time to respond to the email. Since the two subscribers in question DID click the link, they are not on this segment. Here are the conditions for the exclusion segment:Conditions for exclusion However, they still show up on the segment that triggers the initial sunset email. This segment has a condition: opened and clicked zero emails in the past 180 days. Here are the conditions for this segment, I’m mostly looking at the first 2 conditions, the lower ones would have only disqualified them from being added to the segment:Conditions for Sunset flow trigger They obviously have clicked/opened, since

@bluesnapper - Thanks for your reply! I think I understand what you are saying about adding past profiles with a time delay.But, if instead of back-populating - if a new flow is created that is based on a segment, would that work? What I was trying to accomplish was to create a segment that would pull in customers who purchased 365 days before today - whenever “today” is, so they would come in organically - and send them the email(s), with out a time delay. Does that make sense?I didn’t realize that date-triggered flows couldn’t be cloned and triggered with a segment, but it does make sense now, haha! Thanks for your input!

@mrosique,Ok, I have an idea that might solve part of the problem. Is the first purchase date a profile property from which you can create a segment? If so, try this: - Create a segment where first purchase date is between 365 and 366 days ago. (Since this year was a leap year, you might want to make it 366 and 367, or just play with the numbers until you get what you want) - Clone the anniversary flow and make the segment the trigger. - Add a profile filter that excludes customers who are already in the original anniversary flow, so it won’t send them another email when they qualify for the this flow.I think this will work for customers who purchased from a year ago today (or whatever day you start it) through the time you created the anniversary flow.For customers who purchased MORE than 366 days ago - my only idea is to create a segment with the farthest back purchase date (ie, purchased between 400 and 401 days ago, or whenever it happens to be), and follow the steps above, making

Hi @mrosique,Yes, you are correct, all the emails would be sent at once, unless you put a time delay between the trigger and the email send(s).How many profiles have their first order date before you created the anniversary flow? If there are a lot, I might need to think more about how to set up a flow to send them at the right time. :-)

Importing in-store collection data to Klaviyo

Hi @GV123!There are a few ways you can approach this. You can have 3 separate lists for the 3 separate paths, but I would suggest using segments.For paths 2 and 3, if you use a Klaviyo sign up form, you can have a hidden property field that will allow you to segment the cusomers. For example, for path 2, you can create a hidden profile property named Tax Back and have it pre-filled to Yes.You could also segment the customers by property fields that the other two paths would not have; for example, for customers in path 1, create a segment where Shipping Address (or Street Address) is not set.You can create colunns in the CSV file that will later become custom properties - here is an article about Understanding Custom Properties. Also, this article about Understanding Data Types is really helpful!Note, once you create a property, the name of the property has to be exactly the same for each import, or it will create a second property if not mapped correctly - for example, if one of your p

Here are two articles about back-populating flows:How to add past profiles to a flowUnderstandig how adding past profiles works in KlaviyoUnfortunately, since your flow is based on date, you may not be able to back populate the flow (according to the second article.)I don’t know if this is the best solution, but here’s an idea:1 - Clone the anniversary flow and have the trigger be a list.2 - Create a segment of customers who have an anniversary date that falls before you created the anniversary flow.3 - Add those customers to the list that triggers the cloned flow, and they would then receive the email(s).Once everyone is through that flow, you could then delete the list, if desired.Hope this helps!

Creating a Post-Purchase flow that doesn't clash with existing Welcome Flow

Hi @mayavalentin,What is the trigger for your welcome flow when they subscribe at checkout? If it is the same as the Post-Purchase flow, then yes, customers would move through both flows. You can add a profile filter to the post-purchase flow to exclude customers who already received the welcome flow: What someone has done or not done - received email - (welcome flow) - zero times - (in the last) - (amount of time). See screen shot below. If the trigger is the same, customers who receive the welcome flow won’t go through the post-purchase flow until they purchase a second time, this may not be what you are wanting. There also may be other ways to exclude them that I’m not thinking of.I don’t have an answer to your second question, but I’m sure somone else does! Best of luck!
