Brick & Mortar Integration with NEW APIs

Hi @ksp_john and welcome back to the Community! While the Brick-and-Mortar guide is still mostly relevant, the code snippets listed there still use the legacy APIs. I spoke with our engineering/technical writing team about the guides, and they informed me that they will be updated in the next month or so to reflect the latest APIs.  To that end, I would suggest continuing with the legacy APIs, and I will update the thread when the new documentation is available! I hope this helps to clarify! Thanks, Brian

Can't get Web tracking script to install with BigCommerce. Says Script not installed correctly.

Hi @cathywise and welcome to the Community! I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with your integration! This issue could be caused by several things. May I ask the status of the SSL certificate for the new site? If you don’t know, you can check by entering the website address here - Klaviyo requires a grade A to integrate, so if it’s less than that you may need to update your SSL certificate to move forward.  Also, if you haven’t already, I would suggest trying to manually check if the correct code is installed on your site through your browser console. While the snippet checker tool is useful, it’s possible that the snippets could be installed successfully and the checker missed it due to third-party interference. The best way to know for certain is to check via your console, and then test yourself by cookie-ing your own browser and clicking around your site to see if the events fire in Klaviyo. Here are some more Community posts dealing with similar topics: Thanks for using the Co

CORS policy: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' from Shopify Store

Hi @mohammadliton91 and welcome to the Community! I see that you’re using the v2 List&Segments endpoint to accomplish the unsubscribe. Hi @Horusruthless and welcome to the Community! I see that you are having some issues with coding a button here, and from the screenshot I’m assuming this is an ‘Added to Cart’ event (feel free to correct me if I’m wrong!). Would you mind explaining a little more about your use case, so myself and other Community members can gather some more context? In other words, could you explain a little more about where/how you coded this button, as well as what integration you are using? The screenshot shows the HTML for the button, but do you have a screenshot of the actual code snippet you inserted? Also, have you taken a look at this Help Center Article explaining how to create the Added to Cart event? Adding to a Live Flow

Hi @jdannydavis, If the newsletter isn’t dated and you’d like to your subscribers to receive the volumes asynchronously, then you could definitely use a flow with a time delay in between messages. Now, for the brunt of your question - you can certainly add emails to the end of a live flow that already contains customers. The customers will just receive that email when the time comes, and new subscribers will start from the beginning. However, if you include a time delay that’s less than the amount of time that’s passed since the subsequent email, you will have to back-populate in order for those users to receive that email. Here’s another Community post regarding the different types of back-population and when they’re applicable: I hope this helps!-Brian

Property update redirecting to placeholder page

Hi @remyinheaven and welcome to the Community! Just so I can confirm the details and clarify the issue - are you saying that this is an existing button that has worked properly in the past and is now suddenly malfunctioning? Or is this a new button modeled from other buttons that have worked in the past? Also, is the button placed on a Klaviyo signup form, email, or somewhere else on your e-commerce site? Installing Add To Cart Code

Hi @peterialshop, There could be two issues going on here. The first is that the Added to Cart metric only works if the user has been cookied, which means that they’ve entered their email on your store at some point. Therefore, using a private browser to test the metric wouldn’t work.  Additionally, I noticed that your Button is using the Class notation - have you tried the third snippet option for buttons with redirects defined by class notation? This is similar to what my colleague said in the below post:https://community.klaviyo.com/metrics-and-analytics-36/how-to-add-add-to-cart-snippet-with-shopify-turbo-theme-488 If you need more hands on assistance on getting this resolved, I would recommend reaching out and working with a developer you’re familiar with, or with an official Klaviyo Partner. I hope this helps, and thanks for using the Community!- Brian

Create Event API call 401 error

Hi @Esalvador13 and welcome to the Community! The correct syntax should be 'Authorization: Klaviyo-API-Key your-private-api-key', where you’d substitute your-private-api-key for the API Key you can generate from Settings > API Keys: Just to clarify the issue, can you confirm that you’re making sure to substitute the Private Key here and not the Public Key? Thanks,-Brian

API endpoint to know what are the scopes of the API key?

How do I add a klaviyo sign up form to my wordpress site

Hi @kunal and welcome to the Community! I see that you are looking to create a landing page with an embedded form on your Wordpress site. Are you using an e-commerce plugin like WooCommerce with your site? If not, that’s okay, there will just be an extra step involved. There are two requirements for embedding a form on your site. The first is that you must have Klaviyo.js (also known as the Active on Site tracking code snippet) installed on your site. If you are already integrated with a major e-commerce plugin, then you may already have this installed, but if not, here is a great video detailing the exact steps with a Wordpress site:Install Klaviyo.js on Wordpress Once you have this snippet installed, you can move on to install your embed form. You will have to paste the form’s embed code into your site’s HTML/source code wherever you’d like it to appear. Installing Add To Cart Code

Hi @peterialshop and welcome to the Community! Just to clarify where you are in this process, what is the main point of trouble you are experiencing? (i.e. you’ve pasted the snippet but it’s not tracking anything, you don’t know where to paste, Shopify can’t validate the code, etc.) It might be helpful for myself and other Community members to understand the issue with some more context about where you’re stuck.  One thing that is important to understand is that you must have Klaviyo onsite tracking enabled and the user must have been previously cookied by Klaviyo for the event to be tracked, so if you are testing the metric without these prerequisites established, nothing will appear in Klaviyo. Here are some other Community threads regarding the Added to Cart metric that might help provide clarity: I hope this helps, and thanks for using the Community! - Brian

Capturing Data for Custom Properties from User Navigation

Hi @scotiaceilidh and welcome to the Community! This is a fantastic question! Klaviyo can certainly be leveraged to understand user activity such as size preference, page views, etc., it just depends on your specific use case and how your e-commerce store is setup. It’s true that the simplest way to accomplish this would be to include size preferences on your sign up form, but there are some other potential workarounds.  There is a native Viewed Product metric, but it doesn’t pass size/variants like the Ordered Product metric. If you want to use that metric to track size data, you would have to edit the actual snippet on your site to include size tracking, a task that would vary depending on the type of store and your development capacity. Add mailto link in the bottom of newsletters

Personalization like this can be easily accomplished using the “Add personalization” icon within a text block of your newsletter.  Once you’re in the editor, simply drag a text block into your email from the Content menu on the left. Then, type your sentence, and when you arrive to the place where you’d like the customer’s email to appear, click on the Add personalization icon from the text editor menu (or insert property if you’re using the classic editor):NewClassic Then, simply select Email from the dropdown list. How do I delete a custom property with the new API

Hi @meitalmtz and welcome to the Community! The $unset feature that was available but undocumented in the v1-2 APIs is actually out of scope for the new APIs, so it’s not possible to delete profile properties with the new APIs at the moment.  However, this feature is being considered for reimplementation in future releases, so I will update the thread if there’s any news there. In the meantime, the legacy APIs won’t be end-of-lifed until January of 2024, so you can still use them to remove properties as outlined in these Community posts: I hope this helps to clarify, and thanks for using the Community! - Brian

Custom Viewed Page

Hi @M. Sohaib and welcome to the Community! This is a great question! Once you’ve installed the Custom Viewed Page Metric snippet on each of your store pages, it will record a custom metric labeled with the page name that you specify in the code:<script type="text/javascript">var _learnq = _learnq || [];_learnq.push(['track', 'Viewed Page', {PageName: "AboutUs"}]);</script> In the above snippet, you would replace the highlighted “AboutUs” value with each specific page name. Then, when someone visits a specific page, you will be able to see a metric in Klaviyo that tells you which user visited the page. Once you have the metric recorded in Klaviyo, there are a number of ways you could leverage it to understand customer activity. Firstly, you could navigate to Analytics > Metrics, and then Search for “Viewed Page” (or whatever you named the metric in the snippet). CAMPAIGNS DATA IN NEW API VERSION

Why is the new editor seem to be slow?

API Event Data for flows

Hi @Scott Williams and welcome to the Community! You can certainly have flows that are triggered by custom events that are passed by the API - the practice is essentially the same whether it’s a custom event passed from your brick-and-mortar store or a native e-commerce event. Based on what I understand from your use case, there might be two issues going on here; dynamic block setup and event data passage. May I ask how you are setting up the dynamic blocks in the flow (Screenshots might help)? Is there a way to get source and CLV information in the profiles API?

Hi @dfine and welcome to the Community! It’s not currently possible to retrieve CLV and Source data directly through Profiles endpoint However, a potential workaround could be to create another segment that targets customers with a certain CLV or Source value, and then use a flow to tag these profiles with a custom property that you can retrieve using the Profiles endpoint, as mentioned in this Community post: For example, if you wanted to see which customers had a CLV of at least 100, you could create a Segment as follows:Then, you could create a flow that’s triggered when someone joins this list, and update their profile with a new custom value:Then, you will be able retrieve this property via the Profiles endpoint. However, it’s important to keep in mind that CLV is a dynamic value which means that it can change constantly, so it might be a good practice to make another segment/flow that is the inverse of those above. For instance, if the above segment targets customers with a CLV &
