Marketing

Hi Guys, I’ve recently signed up for Klaviyo and integrated my mailchimp account across to Klaviyo. In our Mailchimp account, we have several different audiences for different websites etc. When integrating I made the mistake of not selecting a specific list and it bought across all the contacts (when I only need some of them). is it possible to undo this integration or what is the best way of erasing the unwanted contacts in my klaviyo account but, not erasing anything in my mailchimp account. Thanks,

Hi,I’m trying to create a product block only to show when a person has recently browsed the homeware section of our site. It is a homeware and clothing store so it doesn’t make much sense to show clothing as recommended items when they’ve browsed homeware and vice versa.I’m going into the preview mode and seeing that {{ event.Categories.5 }} is ‘homeware’ so i’m trying to show a dynamic product block based on that, but it doesn’t work, it just keeps on still showing clothing items. I’ve successfully managed to just show blocks based on the person’s sex using the person|lookup:'Sex' = 'Female' variable, but for some reason just can’t get this homeware category to work. Something i’ve also noticed is that the category number sometimes changes depending on the preview, it was 5 in one preview and then in another the category 5 was Trousers. So do I need to put the text homeware in rather than the category number? The store has multiple iterations of homeware, like homeware candles for ins

Looking to create to flows… A welcome series flow  and a flow that when someone orders from shopify with a value over $500 they get sent an email about being a VIP. Any info / Hiring

Hi all,I hope you are doing well This is my first time using any kind of email marketing software so this question might be dumb. So, I am a dropshipper with a lot of SKU’s and I am trying to set up an abandoned cart flow. I am using Pagefly to create some of my landing pages and when I set up my email template with “dynamic” product blocks it takes me to the regular Shopify product page and not my custom landing page I made with Pagefly.I tried with “static” product blocks but the “auto-generate links” also sends me to the product page and not the custom landing page. And if I understand correctly adding my website link manually will send all my customers to the same page no matter what product they have abandoned, if so that’s also not an option. So my question is then, how can I send my customers to my custom landing pages with the correct product that they have left in the cart? Thanks in advance.

Hello,I am trying to personalize my email campaigns, but some customers first names are either “Unknown Customer”, blank or have been mass-imported incorrectly with first name “bc”. How can I hide the text block from people with incorrect first names and show them a generic message instead, for example:Hey Jessica!  vs  Hey Swimmer!I have found the blog post that outlines this, but can’t seem to get it to work for both blank and incorrect names. Thanks!Brooke

I’m just curious why it’s so hard to get support from Klaviyo? The chat is often offline  during normal business hours. Support email tickets are slow in being responded to and often the replies are sporadic and not actually helpful in addressing the problem.  Klaviyo is a top knotch email provider in  my opinion, but the inability to get support is so disappointing. Can anyone shed some light on this?  Is it a temporary staffing issue? I want to be a raving fan, but….I can’t get anyone to help with this fabulous platform.

What determines the decision for Compliance Team to remove Dedicated Sending Domain settings? I’m asking as a person who made a mistake and now may be facing a huge problem that can cost days to weeks of work if they decide not to remove the dedicated sending domain I set up.

Hello, so my team just set our post-purchase flow to live. It has the usual trigger (Placed Order) and conditional split for first-time buyers (Placed Order equals 1 Over All Time). However, the first thing we noticed is that there are more recipients in the ‘No’ branch -- see pic.My teammate says this is unusual, because we’re only expecting only about 5% of the total recipients to be repeat customers, i.e. to belong in the ‘No’ branch. We should be seeing more in the ‘Yes’ branch. Instead we’re seeing the opposite. Are we missing something in the flow setup? What could explain this? Thanks, appreciate your time!

My fetch request looks like thisfetch(`https://a.klaviyo.com/api/v1/catalog/subscribe`, { method: "POST", headers: { "Content-Type": "application/x-www-form-urlencoded" }, body: new URLSearchParams({ a: process.env.NEXT_PUBLIC_KLAVIYO_KEY, email: email, variant: properties.variantId, platform: 'shopify' }) })but the issue is that my shopify variant Ids are alphanumeric and this endpoint is requiring the integer ID that comes from my klaviyo catalog, and I’m a bit stuck on how to get this working properly. Any info would be great, thanks!

When a client begins the checkout process in our WooCommerce site, Klaviyo picks ups the event as “Started Checkout”, but it doesn’t recognize when the order is placed. Even after the checkout process ends and we receive an email from WooCommerce letting us know that there’s a new order, Klaviyo still shows it as “Started Checkout” and not as “Placed Order”.What could be causing this? The products we sell are each custom made, so we don’t charge our clients upfront. Is the fact that our clients are not paying during their checkout process, causing Klaviyo to keep it as “Started Checkout” and not as “Placed Order”? What is the trigger that Klaviyo picks up to turn “Started Checkout” into “Placed Order” with WooCommerce? Even when I change the status of the order on WooCommerce from “Processing” to “Completed”, Klaviyo keeps showing the event as “Started Checkout” instead of “Placed Order”. Thanks!

How do I make this multiple Image Blocks / Text Blocks? I’m able to drag / drop one big Image Block & Text Block… but I can’t find out how to make 2, 3 or even 4? Ideas?

Hi,I was reading some advice on re-sending a welcome flow message to those who haven’t opened your first one. (Since welcome flow usually get the best open rate and results)Can someone show me how to set it in my flow, so that I can send to those who haven’t opened my first welcome message?Best,R

Hello! In my e-mail templates, the images of my products are now showing? I’m using the woocommerce integration with Klaviyo, and the pictures does appear in gmail, but not in the template and not when I receive the emails in Outlook. What can I do to resolve this issue?I’ve attached a photo, this is how it looks both in the template and when i receive in Outlook. Thanks for your help in advance!

I’m using a popup, without a form, and the CTA links them to a different page. Will the form’s report use clicks as form submissions?

Hi! I recently finished integrating my ecommerce (custom code, no vendor) with Klaviyo.Imagine you’re a first time visitor, the events that will be logged are the following, in order:Active on site Viewed product Added to cart Started checkout Identify (email) Identify (first name, last name) Placed order (server side) Ordered product (server side)So, when testing, I realized that events prior to the Identify calls will not be retroactively recognized when the customer finally inputs his email. This means most of the events I’m interested in will not be registered for first time visitors. Example: I’ll have a person’s email, but the Started Checkout event will not be registered, which is arguably the most important event in ecommerces, because it happened prior to the Identify call,I could log Started Checkout after the user submits his email (and /identify has been successfully called). Although it is not the logical order of events happening, that would not matter as customers that do

Hi there, If I create welcome flows that contain 15% off coupon code, will it clash with my browse abandonment 10% off coupon code? As once customer opt-in, they would automatically receive welcome series and will receive browse abandonment flow if they click the product. And how do I prevent them from receive both.My welcome flow filter: Placed order zero times since starting this flowMy browse abandonment filter:Checkout Started zero times since starting this flowPlaced order zero times since starting this flowAdded to cart zero times since starting this flow

I have created a Replenishment flow and email, that emails a customer after a certain time frame, to remind them to repurchase shampoo. However in the ‘last ordered’ block that I have found in the pre made Replenishment email. (where they can click and see what they purchased last time). It will show the customer their whole cart, rather then just the shampoo products within the category I am targeting. Is there a way to get the ‘last ordered’ block section to target specific categories of products. aka if they also bought a conditioner, it would not show.

Plain and simple :)I realized I had a typo on a en email that have 7 people waiting to get it. If I change the email content, do they get the new one? I understand that trigger times cannot change with people waiting but what about content? I also updated a picture :)

Hello guys, i want to dublicate flows to another profiles but i cant find how to do that.. is there anyone can help me out to fix this?

So I’m about to merge a bunch of lists… I have a segment that is pulling in all the profiles, which i’ll export, then add a specific custom property to each profile which will correspond to a flow filter for flows that are triggered by list membership ( as outlined in this klaviyo doc)I think I’m pretty much ready to pull the trigger (pun intended) but what I want to clarify is…If all my current profiles get this new property (I’m calling it “Origin_Merged_Exclude_Trigger” with a value of “Yes”), what does the flow filter do to new profiles that have NO value for this property? Will they still enter the flow as intended? I’m just a bit concerned about the “doesn’t equal”...Hope this makes sense! Thanks!

I'm struggling here. I'm using Canopy Theme and when we updated to Shopify 2.0, it knocked out our Added to Cart code. Now I can't get it to work again. Here's my button code: <button type="submit" name="add" class="btn product-add mini-form" data-btn-type="add-to-cart">              <span class="button-text">Add to cart</span>              <span class="loading-spinner" aria-label="Adding"></span>             </button> Here's where I customized the snippet: <script type="text/javascript">var _learnq = _learnq || [];  var classname = document.getElementsByClassName("btn product-add mini-form" data-btn-type="add-to-cart");var addToCart = function() {_learnq.push(['track', 'Added to Cart', item]);}; for (var i = 0; i < classname.length; i++) {classname[i].addEventListener('click', addToCart, false);}</script>  Did I customize the snippet incorrectly? Thanks!

Im trying to update the Javascript code via automatic. Also i read some blogs about it and i could find why im having this problem.Does anyone know what I can do to make my form public?

We have a free trial kit that goes out to a customer, and when we receive it back we mark the ORDER with the tag “KR” and then we know the kit was returned. And a tag “KNR” if the kit was never returned. KR - I want to email them after it’s returned and let them know what the next steps are and give them an offer.KNR - I want to remind them to return the kit. We can’t change the Order Status, because often they are buying multiple products. So I need it to be based on a TAG. Or a custom data field (can we do that in Shopify)? We can’t add the tag to the Customer level because they could order our kits multiple times over their lifetime. Thoughts??

So I screwed up and edited the templates before saving them and now I’ve screwed them up and they aren’t working properly. Is there a way to restore the templates? Or find them online so I can start again?

Hi, I want to start an abandoned checkout flow using Klaviyo. I want to send out my abandoned cart email to anyone who accepted marketing on checkout and double opt-inned. What I would need is, that once a customer types in his email and proceeds to the next step in the checkout process klavyo automatically sends out the “confirmation mail” (obviously only when having the “accept Marketing box” checked).I can only find solutions to send the abandoned cart email out to people who signed up through another list. how do I integrate the double opt in email for the checkout emails? I cannot find a solution for this.  thank you
