Question on Segment numbers not adding up

Hi @pzonglobal,Thanks for sharing this question with us.Keep in mind whenever you use “OR” the user only needs to meet one of the conditions separated by “OR” in order to qualify for that portion of the segment definition. As a result you’ll have users overlap between segments (i.e. a user exist in more than one segment) which is why the numbers won’t necessarily add up to the sum segment. Let’s take your last segment for example, “Clicked email zero times in the last 14 days OR Viewed Product zero times in the last 14 days OR Active on Site zero times in the last 40 days”. Using “OR” separators, if the user clicked email zero times, they now “meet” that portion of the definition. They could have viewed product 1,2,3 or 4+ times and they’ll still qualify for the segment definition as long as they meet the other criteria. This is to say, for any segment criteria you want to be “required” i.e. clicked once and viewed product once you need to use “AND” between segment criteria. This ensur

Hi @JayH,Thanks for sharing this question with us.You may want to look into the mac pointer settings or the browser-specific settings if it’s only occurring for Safari (and not impacting other browsers). Sign Up Form Spacing

Hi @shopboem,Thanks for your post.Can you show us how it’s displaying in the Klaviyo editor? Typically if the signup form is properly formatted in the editor but appears skewed on your website, it is because of conflicting CSS on your website overriding the styling settings of the form. If you are tech-savvy yourself or have a developer who can look at the site code, you’ll be able to pick out the problematic CSS causing the conflict. I hope that’s helpful.

Segment definition "is not in segment."

Hi @MattR,Thanks for sharing this question with us.Generally speaking, we recommend going with option 1 because using segments will continue to keep users “up to date” as opposed to lists, like you mentioned, which will remain static. If you’re sending a campaign, you can simply send to the Newsletter list only in the “includes” section of the campaign and include 1 or more of those segments in the “excludes” section. Using this set up, users who overlap between both the Newsletter and one of those segments will be excluded from the send, leaving you with only the remainder of Newsletter users. You can read more about how we calculate included/excluded users in campaign sends here. In terms of flow sending, you may find it easier to prevent users from “falling through the cracks” by setting up multiple flows with a list-trigger (Newsletter) followed by filters using negative criteria for each segment. So in theory, 3 separate flows (1 each of the 3 engagement segments), each containing

Klaviyo forms pop-up when customers tap on product and try to checkout

Hi @buildfastbrian,Thanks for sharing this with us.There’s a few things I would consider. First, under the Targeting and Behavior form settings, checking that “show again after X days” is set to at least 1 or more days. After exiting the form, this should prevent them from reopening until 24 hours later. We have some recommendations on time periods (X amount of days after closing) depending on your goals for the form. I would also look at Targeting By URL section. You can specify a URL to not show this sign-up form. Depending on the URL for your product pages and your checkout page, you may be able to use the contains filter to tell the form not to show on product pages or the checkout page. For example: do not show on: www.website/com/product.If you’re still having trouble after testing the above, I suspect there may be a code conflict on your site that’s causing the forms to populate when they shouldn’t be. For example, a javascript snippet coming from a 3rd party application/plug-in

Integrating custom signup checkbox

Hi @maximilian,Thank you for sharing this with us.To ensure your custom form works with Klaviyo, you’ll need to paste our onsite javascript into the header of your site. Going forward, whenever you publish a new form in Klaviyo, it will appear automatically. Simply replace PUBLIC_API_KEY with your public API key. Here’s the snippet: <script type="text/javascript" async="" src="https://static.klaviyo.com/onsite/js/klaviyo.js?company_id=PUBLIC_API_KEY"></script> You may also find this section on adding checkboxes helpful. It gives you some basic example code to work.Also, you will need users to fill the email field in your form in order for the profile to be created in Klaviyo. Show form submission date in profile

Hi @Brooke_Mac,Thanks for sharing this question with us.Using Klaviyo’s default signup forms, there’s no way to automate adding a “form submit date” to the profile as a custom property. With that said, when a user fills out a Klaviyo form (and confirms their subscription, if you’re using double opt-in for your lists), they will log a “subscribed to list” event on their profile. You can use this metric in segmentation too. For more information on this metric and it’s use-cases, see our article here.I hope that’s helpful.

Impossible to unsubscribe from Klaviyo Community emails

Hi @crobinuk,Thanks for your reply. Hi @Dov, thanks for responding so quickly. Would definitely recommend that Klaviyo change the authentication process so that any requests for this Settings page throw up an invitation to login rather than return a HTTP 403 error: (This might also be contributing to the jQuery errors I saw in the console which seem to be currently breaking the login button...) Would also recommend that Klaviyo include *single-click* Unsubscribe links in the marketing emails that it sends rather than link to a generic Settings page like this. Mainly because this page doesn’t include an option to unsubscribe from marketing emails (like the one I received), but also because as an industry leader I would just expect Klaviyo to follow best practice. PS. Would be interested to learn why Klaviyo finds it needs a 3rd party system to trigger/send these emails... I would have thought this would have been the perfect use case to be handled by the Klaviyo platform itself :) Thank

Hi @Chris Milham,Of course - glad I could provide some clarity there.Thanks for flagging that concern as well, I understand where you’re coming from. While users will include “feature request” in the title, that’s not a “standard” process for submitting requests. Rather, we (the Klaviyo community moderators) submit requests on behalf of users on a case-by-case basis as they are requested. Hi @fgroast,Thanks for sharing this question with us.I’m afraid there isn’t a default way to automatically apply a discount code from a Klaviyo sign-up form upon a button click. If you follow our guide on adding a unique coupon code to your Klaviyo sign-up form, the code will automatically apply to a customer's Shopify checkout page when they copy the code from the form's success message (no need to paste). You can learn how to add a link that automatically applies a unique coupon code to a customer's cart on the checkout page for abandoned cart emails here.I hope that’s helpful and thanks for being a community member.

One list, multiple segments, multiple unsubscribe options

Hi @TheCarpoolKing,Thanks for sharing this question with us. From the Klaviyo homepage, click in the bottom left on your profile picture then account > settings > email, you’ll see Consent Settings. If you uncheck that box and ONLY send to the corresponding lists (and uncheck the global unsubscribe option in those lists as well - this can be found under the list > settings under Unsubscribes), the {% unsubscribe %} or {% unsubscribe_link %} you use in your emails for this list will only unsubscribe users from that particular list, and not globally.You can then use the "global unsubscribe page" (from the first screenshot) if you also wish to provide a global unsubscribe option.Keep in mind, list unsubscribes are still treated as unsubscribes in segments and flow filters. If you have segments or flow filters that say "is not suppressed" these customers will be treated as suppressed, even if it's only from one list.I hope that’s helpful.

Impossible to unsubscribe from Klaviyo Community emails

Hi @crobinuk,Thanks for sharing this with us.I see a couple of things happening here, let’s break it down together.The link the unsubscribe page points to (as you see in your screenshot) is a page internal to the community tied to your particular profile which subsequently requires a logged-in account to view. That’s why you are seeing the “error” when you’re not logged in. We can certainly look into the specific “log in” link throwing the error from that particular page but once you’re properly logged in, as you figured out, you’re able to view the unsubscribe page.In terms of unsubscribing from these specific emails, I reviewed the marketing email you received from the community and this was a badge notification email, regarding your community anniversary. While there isn't a way to disable these types of emails at this time (these emails are actually tied to a system external to Klaviyo), the particular badge notification email you received is the only "passive" badge that exists. Is there a way to switch between Klaviyo accounts using a specific URL?

Hi @Chris Milham,Thanks for your clarifying message here.At present, we don’t have the ability to alter the functionality to stay “in sync” with changing accounts while using ClickUp. Instead, I would try using two browser windows (one incognito and one “regular”) that should allow you to operate in two separate accounts at once both using ClickUp. We commonly use this technique at Klaviyo to look at two separate accounts simultaneously. If you’re using a mac, you can CMD + ~ to quickly switch between the two browser windows. I hope that’s helpful.

How to segment based off a link click in a workflow

Hi @smileyrox,Thanks for sharing this question with us.It sounds like you’re referring to updating a profile property using a button or a link. This solution is still possible with a couple of changes.{% update_property_link 'profile_property' 'property_value' 'redirect_link' %}What you can do is change the profile_property field for each button to create 3 separate properties. For example, using ‘category_1’ for the first button, using ‘category_2’ for the second button. So say for ‘category_1’ the section on your website is about cars, the link would look like the following for the first button:{% update_property_link 'category_1' 'cars' 'LINK_TO_THE_CARS_SECTION_OF_THE_WEBSITE' %}Then, say the category were ‘boats’ for the second button, it would look like the following:{% update_property_link 'category_2' 'boats' 'LINK_TO_THE_BOATS_SECTION_OF_THE_WEBSITE' %}When people click on these buttons, this would create separate properties (instead of overriding the previously existing value
