How to manage/organize content for reuse in template library?

We have built quite a library of templates and content, but our systems could use improvement to make this content easy to search and reuse. Does anyone have a system that works well for them? Trying to decide if it’s more effective to work on our email template naming system, building our Universal Blocks library, or something else. Thanks!

Writing If/Endif/Elif/Else StatementsTutorial

Similar to using the show/hide function, using If/Endif statements can be used to show certain copy if the viewer meets the if/endif statement requirements, based on their saved profile properties. IE: You have a form on your website that asks if customers prefer cats or dogs as a pet. The customer fills in the form with their email address, stating they like dogs.  A different customer fills in the form saying they like cats.  In an email template, you can write an if/endif statement that directs customers who filled in ‘dogs’ to see one statement, and a different statement for customers who filled in ‘cats’ to see a different statement. The if/endif statement for this would look like the following: {% if person|lookup:'Interested in Dogs?' and not person|lookup:'Interested in Cats?' %}   Like dogs? Check out some great toys for your canine.{% elif person|lookup:'Interested in Cats?' and not person|lookup:'Interested in Dogs?' %}   Like cats? Check out some great toys for your feline.

Why shopify wont accept my klaviyo template when i export the code to shopify? it says "Body html Liquid syntax error: 'endif' is not a valid delimiter for for tags. use endfor"

What is the right logic for displaying or not displaying a block of text with or without the first name?

Hello,I'd like to personalize an email by displaying the first name when it's a known property.And conversely, not to display it when it is not known.Just to clarify, I don't want to display default words such as Friend or other to replace the first name because in French this doesn't work well in terms of the language.So I tested the idea of creating two different text blocks and entered some logic to condition the display, as in the examples below: Text block with the first name :Bonjour {{ first_name|default:''|capfirst }}, how are you?Logic : person|lookup:'first_name'Text block without the first name :Hello, how are you?Logic : not person|lookup:'first_name'However, when I launch the preview, I get the following error message: "Message displayed without tags or variablesFix invalid template tags or variables to preview the message with actual profiles and events."Am I entering the right logic?Is there a possible alternative? Perhaps with a single block of text and a formula that a

How do I float a button over an image in a column?

How do I have a series of product images with buttons that float over the images in two columns? I can place the button below or above the image but not on top.  I am concerned about accessibility if I embed the button into the image? Suggestions?

An error has occurred and unable to upload the image. Please try again.

When I try and upload images, in the same way i have in the past, I keep getting an “An error has occurred and unable to upload the image. Please try again.” error. I get an error when I try and lodge a ticket. and if i try and make other changes, i get an error “Something Went Wrong, Unsaved changes will be discarded. Refresh the page to return to the editor.”what has happened? i have tried multiple internet connections which all work flawlessly for everything else.it also wont let me start a new campaign. when i click the button nothing happens. basically, i can’t do anythingi tried to upgrade my account… but when i click to update it just stays infinitely loading and never actually doing anything. this isnt an internet connection issue.

How do I petition for Klaviyo to support emojis in HTML email?

Specifically, since the preview text must be included in the content of the HTML email, we’re not able to include any emojis in the preview text which significantly reduces the performance of the email and is off brand. Can you please fix this?

Logo image not showing on mobile editor

Hi,  I’m trying to create a welcome email, but I noticed when I switched to the mobile editor my logo wasn't there. I randomly tried two logos in the desktop editor and that way it showed in my mobile editor?Am I doing something wrong ?

How to add Dynamic Coupon Code in Abandoned checkout

Hi chat!Is there anyone who knows how to add a dynamic coupon code created in Klaviyo into a button linking customers back to their checkout process?For further explanation: I am splitting my abandoned checkout flow for those who are going through my welcome flow. The trigger is set for when a lead from the welcome flow creates “checkout started”, they’ll be moved to the abandoned checkout flow and segmented based on how far in the welcome flow they’ve gone. It’s a little complicated but that’s not the case for today - I am only in search of how to link the buttons so that those who have their welcome flow coupon, can have that coupon linked directly in the checkout. I have been searching around on the web and in the community pages but I can’t really find a good answer. The best link example I found was this: “https://www.mysite.com/STOREFRONT_ID/checkouts/{{ event.extra.token }}?discount={% coupon_code 'NAME_OF_YOUR_COUPON' %}”Now the only tricky part about this link is that I can’t

How to create dynamic countdown timers based on send time

Hi all,  I wanted to share a struggle we've had when using Sendtric to be able to create those nice looking countdown timers that actually don't have a static end date but rather a dynamic end date depending on when somone receives the email. i.e. you're using a dynamic coupon code that expires in x hours. This works well in/with flows. If you're using CountdownMail as a timer I suggest to checkout this article I created previously For Sendtric however the input for the time you need a Unix timestamp, which in a way Klaviyo does not seem to provide out of the box (yet).The way we've set this up is to first define the {% today %} variable the way we want it so we recreated this with the following{% today "%Y-%m-%dT%H:%M:%S" as today %} for more information on date values please check this klaviyo articleWe basically declared how we'd like to display the current time (which will be auto filled the moment the email gets generated and send).But having the current time is not enough yet for

Targeting blank values for conditional statements / IF ELSE content blocks

REQUEST: Set default styles for the drag-and-drop editor

Hi there,Everyone loves those drag-and-drop icons and for good reason, they’re super intuitive which is surely why they were built? But to be on-brand, you can’t use them. Silly - right? Surely that’s a core-conflict that needs addressing because saved blocks and templates don’t fix it.REQUEST: Allow us to set default styles for the drag-and-drop editor It’d be faster, more intuitive and ultimately more enjoyable if the drag-and-drop editor matched your brand. Even if styles had to be set via css or json, or however they’re currently set. Or put another way... Why do we want the drag-and-drop editor to conflict with our templates? Surely nobody wants this. Klaviyo Dynamic Discount - expiration of use

Hi Guys,  I would like to set up a dynamic Discount for my welcome flow. However I want the discount to be possible to use for the customer within 7 days. So in my understanding it should expire after 7 days.  But when I set expire after 7 days in the coupon settings, I am not able to add codes and also not able to sent through a flow. I need to set not expiry or a fixed expiry date. Now I understood that this expiry date is not related to the expiry of codes after sent to a customer but rather how long this coupon is active in my Klaviyo and Shopify.  So my question is, how can I set up dynamic coupons that will be sent to customers through a flow that expires after several days (so that the customer does not come on the idea to use that code after half a year for example). Or do all dynamic coupons sent with klaviyo have the sent time of being active? ThanksMax

How to get iPads to display the full width of a template?

Hi There,Desktop and mobile templates look great but I can’t get iPads to display the full-width of the email background, even though there’s plenty of room - see attached for iPad (see red X’s) vs Desktop vs Mobile.Mobile doesn’t have this issue because the design butts to the sides so you don’t get that 15px each side which creates visual clutter between email and content backgrounds if that makes sense. It looks super clean when viewing on the device.Does anyone know how to stop iPads from cutting-off backgrounds on the sides?Any help much appreciated.Cheers, Ben On iPad... On Desktop… On Mobile…

How can I clean up default hyperlink addresses?

I’d like to know if there’s an option to clean up hyperlink addresses? The default is tons of text that look “spammy”... I worked hard to get a clean stand alone browser for a lead magnet… inntuity.com/letsgo but this is what appears when you hover over it.   Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Show/Hide Logic Based on Event Properties

Hi everyoneI’m having trouble comprehending the show/hide logic based on an Event Property. Despite trying multiple logic scripts and watching/reading Klaviyo documentations, I have been unable to make it work. The objective is to display or hide specific sections depending on whether the customer has used a coupon or discount for their order. Currently, we are utilising WooCommerce as the event trigger metric.In this example, highlighted ‘IsDiscounted’ is {{ event.IsDiscounted|default:'' }}Return results is either ‘true’ or ‘false’. I've experimented with various logic scripts, but none of them have worked in the case where 'IsDiscounted' is true:'true' in event.IsDiscountedevent.IsDiscounted|default:''==trueevent.IsDiscounted|default:'' == 'true'event.IsDiscounted|default:'' == trueAnd I am assuming if I wanted to hide a particular block, it would be replacing the true with ‘false’?Appreciate any guidance!

Does Klaviyo support BIMI?

Have any Klaviyo users successfully implemented BIMI for their brand and the logo image is displaying as expected by participating mailbox providers?I was told by Klaviyo Support that “...the full setup of BIMI (in terms of the setup process via Klaviyo via modifying headers) are not yet supported by Klaviyo...I will happily message our product team to upvote this option as BIMI begins to increase in presence.”So, does BIMI work with Klaviyo emails, or not? In looking into implementing BIMI for our brand, I started a conversation with our Tech Team, sharing the necessary steps with them. After they reviewed the steps, they suggested I confirm with Klaviyo, before we proceed, that the platform supports BIMI in our outgoing emails. Klaviyo published a help article about BIMI, but it does not explicitly state – once BIMI is properly set up per the BIMI Group / Validity step-by-step process – what we then do in our Klaviyo outgoing emails to ensure that our BIMI record is correctly and aut

Klaviyo Quick Actions Get Code Button Not Working

We’re having trouble using an apply discount recharge / klaviyo quick action.We want to send a discount code to customers so they can apply a discount to their next subscription order without needing to log into recharge and find where to put the code manually.We can send out the link with the discount code attached, which drives to this page here, but the “Get Code” button doesn’t work / isn’t clickable. Has anyone experienced a similar issue and have any ideas on how we could go about fixing?

Product feeds shows the same product

Hi, everyone, I feel really frustrated with the recent change of the product feed. All my email templates contain not simple boring grid, but a little bit tweaked in order to make emails not such a boring thing. See the example bellow.These all kinds of grids worked just fine when I could chose from what position to start displaying product feed, as all these blocks are independent in order to make beautiful display.Now, for some reason Klaviyo removed this button and all the time product feed starts from #1 resulting in displaying the same product all over the email. I have contacted support unfortunately with no help.All my Flows contains grids with various display meaning that I have to redo everything! That’s drives me crazy!I just don’t understand how could you do this!I worked so hard to setup everything and now all its gone. It will take me days if not weeks to redo everything. I will lose so much revenue during this time, because I cannot do other things.I don’t know if anyone

Why is the new editor seem to be slow?

I am literally tearing my hair out.  Is there anyone there at Klaviyo in a support role? The entire app is SO dang slow I'm literally about to punch the screen. I'm using the new template editor but it's never been THIS Bad before. Wondering right now why I switched from mailchimp. What should have been a 10 min task has turned into over an hour and I'm literally making no progress at all. I wanted to send this email tonight but am looking at not being able to do anything at all given it’s like pulling teeth. Anyone else in the same boat or can suggest a fix??????????
