Creating a Weekly Report for my Back in Stock Flow

Hi @AprilW, yes that is possible.Within Klaviyo you can create a segment of customers who have subscribed for a back in stock alert for that product using either product title or SKU, whichever works better for you. Here’s an example segment to get you started  After creating the segment, I recommend clicking into a few of the profiles that show up just to skim through their history and verify that they have subscribed to back in stock for that product. You can filter a profile’s event history right at the top and select the subscribed to back in stock as the event and choose see more to see the details of that specific event. When you have the segment, you can send them a campaign to let them know that the item they were interested in will no longer be available and check out something else instead. I hope this helps!

Hi @JaniceBLW, great question and thanks for providing so much detail. I think what may be happening is your flow filters are too inclusive. If I read your filter description in plain english, I'd read,“Include someone if they have not placed an order since starting this flow, or if their order has not been fulfilled… etc.”. In other words, someone who has placed an order but whose order has not been fulfilled yet could still be included in the flow with this set of filters because one of the conditions is true: Their order is not fulfilled. We describe or as “inclusive,” it allows you to include more people in the group because it will include them if only one of the conditions is true.Recommendation: I’d recommend first putting the flow messages into DRAFT mode and try removing all conditions except “Placed order zero times since starting flow” and “Has not been in flow in last 30 days,” and change the connector from or to AND. That way we will only include someone if BOTH conditions

Hi @Ghape,This sometimes happens if the name within your Klaviyo account is not correct. Even if it is, we’ve also seen that sometimes people who created an academy account before we introduced Klaviyo single-sign-on have incorrect names. It’s a quick fix though. Please log in to your Klaviyo account and go to your profile. There you can update your name if it is incorrect. If it is correct, delete a letter, save it, add the letter and save again. This should trigger our system to sync the correct name and automatically update what displays on your certificate. Hi @TommyX,Thanks for reaching out. This is an interesting situation.As an interim fix, the first thing I would recommend is to add a filter to this flow that states Skip anyone who has been in this flow in the last 3 hours. The timeframe can be whatever you want, the point is just to prevent someone who placed an order from immediately entering the flow again if a Started Checkout event is tracked. If someone receives an abandoned cart email and clicks the CTA after purchasing, it is expected behavior for them to land on a thank you page instead of a cart page. The fact that they are triggering an empty Checkout Started event so quickly after purchasing could indicate an integration issue. I’d recommend taking a look at profiles with recent placed order events to see if they are also showing started checkout events with no product data after purchase and get a sense of the scope of the issue. Get notified when someone fills out a form

Hey @jpleakis, great question! List-triggered flows do prevent profiles from entering more than one time. @David To has a great explanation about repeated list submission and flows, and suggests creating a custom metric as a potential solution. These restrictions are in place to help prevent potential abuse by visitors filling out a signup form repeatedly to get new discount codes, for example. You mentioned for your use case that a customer may be filling out a customer service request for a second or third time. Are you using a help desk integration?If you are using a help desk, you may be able to trigger a flow off of a metric from that integration instead. For example, our Zendesk integration includes the metric Opened Ticket, so when someone submits a request, that metric is tracked and can be used to trigger a flow to send you a notification. Otherwise, you may want to consider changing the setup of your form. Hi @DanaP Great question! One option is to merge the profiles to keep the history under one profile. However, this would store only one of the email addresses, not recognize both as one person. I’m wondering if the icloud address may be a unique email generated by apple as part of their iOS15 privacy updates called Hide My Email for iCloud+ subscribers. Because they used a different email at checkout, even if you merge the profiles now, a profile with their iCloud email will be created the next time they purchase as well.The best way to avoid emailing them an abandoned cart message to both emails is to add a filter to the flow that says If someone is or is not in a list > Person is > in [your main list]. This will ensure your flow always checks for consent to receive an email message based on list subscription. If someone unsubscribes, they are removed from your list so you won’t accidentally continue to message them. If they subscribed with both emails though, for example consen

Order Reminder SMS Automation

Hi @VinnieT, welcome to the Community!From your post, it sounds like you want to create a flow that sends an SMS to existing customers who have not placed a repeat order, on a weekly basis. If I misunderstand, please let me know. There are a couple of problems that will make this flow technically difficult. At this time, Klaviyo cannot filter by time or date of an event, so there is no way to restrict messages to profiles who did not order on specific days of the week, which appears necessary for your cutoff.Though the time delay can be configured to wait for a certain time of day and day of the week to send the message, it won’t always result in a weekly SMS for your customers. For example, as you have it in your screenshot with a 0 day delay on Thursday at 12:30 pm, someone could place an order on Wednesday, and if they do not place another order by Thursday at 12:30 they will receive your SMS only one day after placing their order.If you used a 7 day delay to ensure a week went by,

segmenting a list into small segments

Hi @Florapirana You can also try segmenting using parameters such as country if you have a multinational list, or the letter that the profile’s email starts with. These are arbitrary and you may need to play around with the ranges. for example, you may have more customers with emails starting with a, b, or c than you do x, y, or z. If you segment by starting character, remember that emails can also start with numbers and create a segment to account for that as well. You can learn more about our segment conditions here. Typically we strongly recommend segmenting based on customer behavior and engagement, but understand that during Black Friday you may want to reach a wider audience.With a list of your size however, you’re looking at possibly 19 segments per campaign any time you send to the full list. You may want to consider upgraded your plan during the time you plan to send at this higher volume. You can always downgrade your plan when you this period of higher sending is over.

I was able to recreate your experience in the new template editor and will share your feedback with the team. You can still use this functionality in the new template editor. How Can I Set Up Abandoned Cart flow emails to not send to Awaiting Payment orders (Bigcommerce) ?

Hi @NicolaKEG,Thanks for sharing. Are your retail customers also assigned a customer group in BigCommerce?  I’m thinking that if the flow is checking for the property BigCommerce: Customer Group, and then checking for the property value. If you’re other customers are not assigned to a customer group, they may be blocked from the flow because there is no customer group and it breaks the logic. As it is Black Friday Weekend, what I recommend doing in the short term is removing that second condition so you can capture abandoned carts for your retail customers. Do you have another way to differentiate wholesale customers? For example, if you have separate product listings for wholesale customers, you can filter out carts with those products using the item category if you have them grouped in your store. That condition would be a Trigger Filter, such as Item categories > contains > [category name], just ensure the name exactly matches what is in the event data. You can double check by

Left aligned emails?

Hi @jjones1724, thanks for reaching out to the Community. To remove the stylization like the gray background, I recommend using a plain text email instead of an email template to design and send your email, especially if you only intend to include text. The email template editor is better suited to highly designed emails with multiple images or CTAs. You can find the plain text option in both campaigns and flows in the email creation process in the Content step. Please try it out with a preview message, and I hope it does what you’re looking for!

Conditional split based on who replied to email sent in the flow

Theoretically yes, you can within the same flow. You would need to use a Conditional Split, not a Trigger Split. You will need two conditional statements within the split, connected by AND as shown below to ensure that they clicked that URL from this message and not a different one. However, with this method they may receive the email with the discount after they click the link, even if they don’t write a reply via that link.However, If you are using a “mailto” command in place of a URL, it won’t trigger a clicked email event, and this method can’t be used.

Hi @Tölta.se, thanks for reaching out to the Community!While Klaviyo can track opens and clicks, we cannot track replies as those are handled by the recipient’s inbox. @david.to gave a great explanation for this limitation and also shared a workaround in another post with a similar question, which I have linked below.  Another possible workaround would be to create a landing page on your site with a feedback form so customers can “reply” to the content in your email that way.You can then trigger a new flow that sends to people who clicked that link in your flow message. Or if you use a service like Typeform on your landing page to collect their reply, you can trigger a new flow when someone fills out that form.I hope this helps!

Can't send my campaign 'Possible Email Content Issues'

Hi Fanny, It’s possible that a text block was added to the template and has no content inside, which could trigger this warning. To remove the warning, you’ll need to click around your template to find the block. If you have unique content on mobile view, be sure to check the mobile version as well. If removing the block affects the alignment of your email design, replace it with a spacer block, which is an intentionally empty block designed to create space between elements. If you are clicking around but cannot find any empty text block, please tell us here and include a screenshot of your campaign design so we can take a closer look.I hope this helps!

Start Flow With Imported Contacts

Hi @alexac314, thanks for reaching out to the Community!Klaviyo list-triggered flows should send to contacts that are imported to the trigger list. If this is not happening, check that you are importing these contacts to the same list that is triggering the flow, and check any trigger filters or flow filters that may be blocking your contacts from receiving the flow. For example, it’s common to have a condition that checks for list membership or consent. If your flow has a condition such as what someone has done > has subscribed to list, all recipients may be blocked from your flow since you manually add your contacts and therefore, no one has taken an action to subscribe. I hope this helps!

Restrict Price drop flow to people who've purchased the triggered product

Hi @Lina,The Price Drop trigger is programmed to only send to people who have never purchased the item—at full price or at the discounted price—so you do not need to set up an additional filter. Profiles also won’t trigger the flow if the product was at a lower price at the time they viewed or started checkout. For example, if someone viewed a product when it was $15, then the price increased to $20, and then dropped again to $17, the person who viewed it at $15 will not trigger the flow.Hope this helps!

Specific Recipient for Back-in-Stock Email

Hi @jdbrngr, thanks for reaching out to the Community!You can definitely filter your back in stock flow as you would any other Klaviyo flow. For your purposes, add a flow filter to your flow that states what someone has done > placed order at least once over all time > where collection > Collection A > at least once > over all time. Excluding customers who already bought a product from that collection would be more complicated and I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it. While in most cases avoiding a duplicate email would be ideal, with the Back in Stock Flow customers opt-in to be notified on a per item basis. If they really like a popular item of yours, they might opt-in more than once if that item sells out regularly, and they want to receive that message. I hope this helps!

One strategy I love is offering your VIP customers a VIP-exclusive discount on all orders. To really make this shine, tell your customer when they’ve achieved VIP status, welcome them into that exclusive club, and tell them what the perks of being a VIP are, including this special discount. A typical range for this is 10%-15% off every order, and you can put a minimum or maximum order value on it. This type of discount makes VIPs feel special, and encourages them to continue shopping with you long into the future. You can also tell your non-VIPs that this is a perk to encourage them to hit your VIP threshold.I’d love to hear what other discount tips people have!

Manual Install - Where to find Signup Form code?

Hi @senkels thanks for reaching out to the Community today!You can set your forms to display by country domain without using any code. To do so, go to the form editor for your signup form, select Targeting & Behavior and within the Targeting section, adjust the By URL settings to only display on URLs containing the correct country specific domain for that form. You can also set it to not show on any URLs that contain your other country domains. If you wanted to target based on visitor’s country instead, that is also an option in the By location settings. Just be aware that the location is judged by IP address and a visitor using a VPN will get the form set for the location their VPN is providing. I hope this helps, and let us know if you have any questions about these settings.

Get notified when someone fills out a form

Hi @Shakira Hanson If you want a notification immediately, every time someone submits your wholesale form, that would be a great opportunity to use the notification action in a flow. Set your flow to trigger when someone subscribes to your wholesale list. If you are not maintaining a separate list for wholesale contacts, then trigger it by the list they are joining, and add a trigger filter for the $Source (the source information of the form they filled out). Then add in the notification action and set who should be notified when someone joins and the message they should receive. You don’t need to include any emails or SMS in this flow unless you want to. If you already have a welcome series set up for your wholesale customers, you can also add the notification action to the beginning of that flow instead. I hope this helps!

How to set up 3rd and 4th Customer Thank you

Hi @Jin, thanks for asking the Community today. You can totally combine them into one single flow, and I definitely recommend doing that as your current 3-4 order flow would actually send people who ordered once or twice down the NO branch as well.  To combine them, add additional splits to your 1-2 order flow in the NO path with conditions such as “Placed Order is equal to 2 over all time” “… 3 over all time” “… 4 over all time.” I’ve included an example below, you can click on the image to enlarge it.This option is good if you want to create completely unique emails depending on the number of emails, but another approach could be to have a first purchase thank you, and a multi-purchase thank you. In that case the conditional split in the first NO path could say “Placed Order is at least 2 over all time AND at most 4,” if you wanted to cap it so they don’t receive another thank you after their fourth purchase.That split would look like this:I hope this helps!
