@Iztok so glad to hear you found our feedback helpful! As you seek to modernize and improve your system, I encourage you to lean into simplifying things as often as it makes sense. Sometimes, what starts as a complex system of flows can be simplified by adding tools like a loyalty app to trigger discounts based on repeat purchases, or a subscription app to give discounts similar to a standard “subscribe and save” context. Other times, it’s actually simpler long term to maintain what at first is complex to setup with flows, but then the stable foundation is set and your team can build upon it.  Whichever path you choose, I encourage you to start small so your team doesn’t feel overwhelmed by the changes. Hi @Iztok, glad to see you back in the community! Given the specifics of this discount structure, you’ll need to configure what could become a complex system of flows, and potentially custom profile properties to add customers to specific segments based on what they’ve done. Especially if you’re trying to split between individual items in an order, and not just the overall order itself.  The Ordered Product event will help you get that level of specificity, and might be the place to start for a flow trigger rather than the Placed Order event (holds all products in a single order).  However, I wonder if a simpler, more sustainable path is for you to offer a loyalty program instead? That could take care of the tracking purchases, and calculate a discount automatically that’s specific to each threshold the customer reaches, depending on how you set those thresholds.  Happy to discuss further. Hi @Siddique2020! This is a helpful tool that automates postcard sending in a similar way to Klaviyo flows. https://www.postpilot.com/ My agency’s clients have had good results with PostPilot.  They’re not yet directly integrated with Klaviyo to the point where you could do something like have a conditional split that triggers an email for one branch and a postcard for the other branch, but you can create postcard automations that complement the email and SMS flows you’re running in Klaviyo.  Warmly,Gabrielle

Sending Milestone Emails

Hi @cbzhu - welcome to the community! If you’re wanting to build a flow that people can enter multiple times, you’ll need it to be triggered by an event. In most cases, what you’re describing is best accomplished by building a flow.  Then that automation becomes part of the systems that keep your business running in the background, without you manually scheduling specific emails to be sent for this referral program each time someone reaches that threshold.  Do you have a software tool that’s keeping track of those referrals/ loyalty points for you? Integrating that with Klaviyo would likely be the easiest way to get the “event” you need to trigger each flow. Then you can have branches of one flow that are specific to the milestone someone hits (ex: 5 referrals vs 10) or you can have multiple flows, with each one specific to a certain milestone.  Warmly,Gabrielle

You’re welcome @adamlmiller2121212! Here’s another insider tip that can help you have a quick win with this new role. When my agency does list cleaning for our clients, we use this tool called Emailable to “vet” emails.  You could do that with the CSV you export from Klaviyo, before adding the consent timestamp data. It will help you quickly identify any “undeliverable” emails that you should suppress. This will support deliverability and improve the health of the list.  There’s more you could do with emails flagged as “risky” or “unknown” and Emailable has lots of helpful documentation that could help you decide the best course of action there for your list.  Warmly,Gabrielle

To add to this great feedback you’ve already gotten from @Bobby and @In the Inbox - you could test using a special incentive for optin beyond your default offer displayed in your onsite optin forms.  So when you target those segments of customers with Meta ads - you might look into the LeadAd format specifically. It helps expedite the optin process, by capturing the email directly in the ad, without asking them to leave Facebook.  I’ve had good success doing something like that with one of my clients, and we offered a downloadable free checklist of vet-approved tips to make homes safe for aging dogs. (They’re a home goods brand with a niche of customers who have senior dogs that need support with walking/ slipping, etc.) Then they optin, you have a Welcome Series flow triggered specific to that optin funnel, and the first email delivers the downloadable freebie that you decide to offer. Alternatively, if you want to leverage your audience on social media, you could tap into this super

Hi @adamlmiller2121212 - welcome to the community! That sounds like a frustrating thing to discover when just starting with a new team. The good news is there is a solution to your problem! I’ve run into this issue before when helping clients migrate to Klaviyo. You’re on the right track - the best thing you can do is import the original consent timestamp into Klaviyo. Then when you’re importing that CSV into your list to add the data to Klaviyo, be sure to check the box that says “yes these people consent to marketing.” Important detail: Focus on the ACTIVE profiles in Klaviyo. Disregard the SUPPRESSED profiles while you’re doing this work. If someone is suppressed, that means they unsubscribed or had a hard bounce, and that change in consent status should be maintained.  So you’d export email addresses of only active profiles from Klaviyo, ensure your CSV with consent timestamp data matches those email addresses, and then prepare a CSV for import like this help doc example shows. htt

Help with scenario that is not working as expected

Hi @OHB911 - welcome to the community! Can you help me understand why you’re using a Make automation to integrate this optin form with Klaviyo?  What you’re trying to accomplish here is pretty straightforward: “I have a form on my website allowing users to share their email address to be emailed a free guide.” Is there a reason why you haven’t use a Klaviyo signup form to accomplish this instead? You can easily use an embedded form, placed on a dedicated page of your site or a popup/ flyout form. There are many options that would enable you to easily offer people the opportunity to give their email in exchange for the free guide you’re offering.  From there, the profiles are seamlessly added to Klaviyo. Unfortunately there won’t automatically be a “submitted form” event, but you could add a custom profile property as a hidden data point tied to the button of each form, that could ID the optin offer/ free guide people are signing up for. That could then be used to create a segment, whic

I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing this issue.  My approach to troubleshooting this would be the same as @KatherineB - so if that’s not what’s causing the problem, then the solution is unclear to me.  Have you checked all the email templates for your flows and campaigns? Hi @fabmol! Welcome to the community!  If you go to the Settings section of your Klaviyo account, under Email you’ll find a section for Domains. That’s where you verify your sending domain in Klaviyo. If all is set up correctly, you’ll see an “active” confirmation like my example shown in this screenshot.  Hope this helps! Gabrielle

You’re quite welcome, and I’m glad you found my recommendations helpful.  Here’s the tricky part with your originally intended plan: “The way I was going to set it up was to have one profile property = content_preferencesAnd three property values (using the “multi checkbox block”) = music, membership, announcements” IF you used one property, with multiple values like this, AND you wanted to give people the ability to select multiple content preferences, that requires you use a List data type custom property (help doc reference). That’s what enables the “multi-select” functionality of the block you described using. This is one route, but use caution if you choose the List data type implementation path with your custom properties.  Sometimes, List data types don’t get accurately recognized in the backend of Klaviyo IF you do not configure the property values in the correct format as specified in the help docs. You’re welcome, Brian! Sounds like your flow system is coming together nicely. Sometimes it helps to sketch this out on paper so you can visualize how all the pieces will work together, especially if you’re creating multiple flows.  You’ve got this! Just take it slowly, one step at a time. It may seem overwhelming at first, but as you practice it’ll get easier and easier.  Conditional splits in a flow also give you an opportunity to do things like set a yes OR no value on their profile for a custom property based something they have or have not done (that’s how you’d configure the conditional split).  So you don’t have to limit your flow triggers to people who qualify for a yes value, but it does simplify the logic of your flow overall. I’m glad you found my feedback helpful @Brian at Hey Lemonade! Yes, the support doc does focus on manual updates to a custom property. For automating updates to a custom property, there are two paths.  Create a link that will add a specific property to someone’s profile when it’s clicked. Here’s a help doc that can walk you through setting that up. 1b. I’ve used this several times for clients, and it’s helpful for when you have a quick, simple question that could be asked in scenarios like a Welcome Series.  Use a Profile Property Update step in a flow to automatically add or update values for a custom property on someone’s profile. 2b. I also use this for my clients, when I don’t want to be dependent on the precise link being clicked in order to collect data about people in Klaviyo. In your case, the path I recommend you do now is #2. You could create a “data automation” type of flow that’s focused on updating the custom profile property. OR you can create this as one step in a flow t

@Anita291 thanks for the screenshot! It’s definitely unusual for the Flow Filters option to not be displayed here. Can you try using Chrome to login to Klaviyo and open the same flow? If the Flow Filters option doesn’t display there, send a screenshot and we can share this with the Klaviyo team.

Hi @Anita291! Jumping in here to help @AlexandraPalau. Are you using the Chrome browser for Klaviyo? Sometimes you can run into unusual bugs like a section not displaying the way you expect it to if you’re using other browsers… Screenshots are always helpful if you’re able! And yes, you’re correct - a list or segment triggered flow only fires once. Flows triggered by events (Placed Order, Started Checkout, etc.) can have people enter the queue multiple times.  Warmly,Gabrielle

Hi @HeyTylerMartin! Glad to see you here in the community. Whenever possible, I encourage you to use custom profile properties and events to track activities like this, instead of tags. Fundamentally, custom properties are more reliably maintained as a data point over time. You can have values automatically update based on actions someone takes (clicking a link for example) and there are also Profile Property Update blocks you can add to your flows for a similar purpose. No such capacity exists with tags - so it can lead to a lot of messy data that you then need to manually clean up over time. If your company hosts webinars with a tool like Eventbrite, or even something like WebinarJam or Crowdcast, you could set up an integration with Klaviyo to track names of webinars people attended, and whether or not they registered and attended, or registered with a no show. Eventbrite is a supported integration with Klaviyo, so there’s less you’d need to manually configure with a custom API inte

Welcome to the community.  @Sujal gave you some helpful feedback to get started, and I’ll clarify a few important pieces here that will help you get the best functionality out of Klaviyo.  On a foundational level, it helps to think about Klaviyo as your customer/subscriber database. This functions best when you have a single Master list, then create segments to group people by different profile properties, actions they’ve taken, etc. So to clarify what Sujal started - I do NOT recommend you have any action add someone to a new list. Instead, have people get added to segments.  Why does this distinction matter?In Klaviyo, lists are static, and segments are dynamic. Once someone is added to a list, they are not automatically removed at any point.IF someone is added to a segment instead, they will stay in that segment as long as they meet the definition of the segment THEN they will be removed from the segment automatically.  You might want to use something call

What is the best strategy to follow once a profile adds to cart but doesn't purchase?

Glad to see you here in the community, and this is a great question to consider as you develop your email marketing strategies.  I affirm the recommendations given to you by @JessFosnough @Bethany D. and @Omar. Here’s my quick suggestion: Before you build a flow targeting this specific group of customers that are similar to the example profile you mentioned, use a campaign email as a small test.  Lately I’ve been trying a new strategy for my clients where we’ll lean into leveraging customer reviews as a method of persuading prospects to take the leap and place their first order. Many of my clients have a zero-discount policy, and we’ve seen promising results here by leveraging the social proof of reviews from existing customers. Sometimes, the uncertainty of whether or not the product will live up to expectations, or last/ stay high quality for months after the purchase, or similar concerns can be the biggest barrier for a new customer to trust your brand and make thei
