All my links aren't working on emails

Hi @Chloe123  Welcome to the community! I’m sorry you experienced this frustration on the day of an event… It seems like this link warning is specific to the security settings on the device/ browser that you’re using. All links that you build into an email will technically include the “trk.kclick..” URL as a redirect since that is basically a pre-click step before the page loads to your true specified URL so Klaviyo can track that click for you… I’m including a screenshot of how this plays out for one of my clients when we’re testing links in their email sent this weekend. You might find this tool Email on Acid helpful - it’s part of our QA testing process for each email, and it can give you extra confidence that your links are fully functional, regardless of what device the email is tested on. Warmly,Gabrielle Marketing Lead, ebusiness pros

Klaviyo vs Yotpo

Thanks for the tag @stephen.trumble! And @Murray Finlayson - I’m glad to see you bring this discussion to the community from Slack.  As a recap, this is the feedback I originally shared in Slack: I recently migrated a client from Yotpo reviews to Klaviyo reviews, and their team appreciates having their customer data consolidated in one place. We’ve also found that it’s improved their email marketing overall, since customer reviews that are stored in Klaviyo are easier than ever for their marketing team to access, and incorporate into campaigns and flows. Notably, being able to download customer photos directly from Klaviyo is a big benefit. Klaviyo’s definitely in the early phases still with their reviews product, but I’d encourage your client to consider the cost/ effort of migrating off Stamped, and then likely migrating again off Yotpo once Klaviyo’s released their upcoming reviews features that will make them much more competitive. Imagine being able to dynamically insert a relevan

Hi @Doris! One thing to add to the helpful feedback you got from @stephen.trumble - you might want to reconsider the re-send of an email that has not been opened.  First, there will inevitably be gaps in the “has Opened Email 0 times” conditional split you’ve created, and it’s more complicated flow logic to add a fallback to address the gap. Sometimes, depending on how a person opens an email, there will not be an Opened Email event recognized on their profile BUT there will be a Clicked Email event recognized on their profile.  Second, although it used to be a recommended practice, there’s less benefit now to resending emails to those who did not open the first time. Most of the time, it’s better to just send a new email, and if there’s critical information that people might have missed from the first email, you could repeat it for them as a “P.S.” section of the email.  When people are skimming email content, the P.S. at the bottom is a surprisingly high-visibility section. Create segments using custom properties with AND-OR logic

Hi @ageorgiev! This is an interesting challenge you’ve run into - thanks @kaila.lawrence for the tag.  First, @JessFosnough is correctly identifying the current limitation of Klaviyo’s segment builder. When setting up segment conditions, the only option right now is to use AND as an outer join, and OR as an inner join. So here’s a quick confirmation of how you’d make this work for campaign sending.As @JessFosnough pointed out, you’ll need two segments to grab each custom property pair.IF you’re wanting to target both groups of people for one campaign, your recipients would look like [Include Segment 1: Property 1 = “AAA” AND Property 2 = “BBB” AND Segment 2: Property 3 = “CCC” AND Property 4 = “DDD” ] Then there’d likely be scenarios where you’d send a campaign to only Segment 1 and EXCLUDE Segment 2 from the recipients, or vice versa. For flows, here’s how to make it most efficient and prevent logic errors. If we zoom out a little, that might help you find the best solution for what y

Unsubscribes still in list

One more thing that might help you get more familiar with Klaviyo @chan - there is the option to remove suppressed profiles from your master (newsletter) list in bulk. If this is important to you, you might get in the habit of manually triggering this 1x per month or quarter.  You’d select “remove suppressed profiles” to achieve this.  HOWEVER - a few things to help you better understand Klaviyo’s fundamental approach to managing profiles/ lists/ segments.  Klaviyo will never send an email to a suppressed profile - so IF someone’s unsubscribed, or their email had a hard bounce, both of those things will lead to a profile being “suppressed” instead of “active” So IF there are suppressed/ unsubscribed profiles on your list, there’s no harm in leaving them there. Unless you want to have a super clear count of precisely who is eligible to receive marketing messages on that list. BUT - this leads to #3… My recommendation is you get in the habit of creating segments to determine who receives

Can't send my first newsletter campaign

@tanyagm hmm, in that case, it’s definitely a bug with Klaviyo. You’re not required to be on a paid plan in order to send emails, so that’s not what’s causing your issue.  If you created your account less than 60 days ago, you still have access to Klaviyo support on your free plan. I encourage you to submit a ticket directly there, or use their live chat if it’s within 9 am - 5 pm EST Mon-Fri. They’ll be the best resource to give you the help you need at this point. If your account is more than 60 days old, it’s likely worth upgrading to a paid account just to have direct access to Klaviyo’s support team.  Best of luck!

@tanyagm totally understand your frustration! I encourage you to stick with Klaviyo, and give their support team a chance to make this right! What you’re experiencing is most likely a product bug…  I’ve made a quick video sharing my screen of what the workflow to build a campaign, using a template you’ve built and saved yourself, should look like. https://share.cleanshot.com/v96c4XwL Are you taking all of the steps I’m demonstrating? If yes, can you tell me what point has buttons missing/ something seems broken? That will help us get to the bottom of your issue so you can send a campaign. Also, are you currently on a free plan with Klaviyo? It might be worth upgrading just so you can submit a support ticket directly to the product support team…

Hi @katiekirsch! I’m sorry to hear you’re running into this issue - it’s something that’s happened to me before as well. Given that Klaviyo’s giving the option to include emojis in the email builder, I suspect there’s a bug that’s preventing you from saving plain text email templates that contain emojis.  Maybe @Taylor Tarpley or @stephen.trumble can help us pass this to the right team! Warmly,Gabrielle

You’ll need to revise the attribution window in the Settings for your Klaviyo account.  I’ve attached a screenshot so you can see which section of the settings this option is found in. Recommended to add features on tracking if the properties on someone changed

Segmentation-sending to an entire list

Hey @JozeSlobodnik! We love a killer offer. Glad to hear you’re leaning into more segmenting now!  @KatherineB gave you good tips to get started - the Espresso Shot segment is also a personal favorite of mine. It can sometimes be small, but mighty when you send those super active shoppers the right offer.  Segmenting is one of the things I’m personally most passionate about, since it helps you gain insight into the different groups of people you have in your list as well as increasing engagement with emails as the content becomes more relevant to the recipients.  Here’s an article I wrote about different types of segments you can use to analyze your list and identify opportunities for flow building as well as campaigns!  Happy to chat further if this sparks any questions for you. Also, if you want to dive into the more advanced side of what’s possible with profile enrichment and segmentation, you might enjoy this recent community thread as well…  Warmly,Gabrielle

How to Defined Engaged Segment

Hi @SeanMcC! You have great recommendations from @chelsgrove and @Ashley I. to help you get started.  There’s one more thing I’d encourage you to work into this segment strategy: take a closer look at whether or not someone’s placed an order with you, especially when it comes to colder segments.  So within the 30-60-90-180 day windows, you might also evaluate if someone has Placed Order 0 times over all time, at least once, at least twice, etc.  You might find there are people in the 180 day group of engagement with emails that have purchased 2+ times. Sometimes these people have a higher level of engagement than a subscriber with 0 orders that’s opening and clicking your emails within the last 90 days.  It will take some time to build all these different segments (cloning segments and revising some conditions helps speed it up). But once you take the time to understand how your list breaks down, and the ratios of your prospects that are more or less engaged, and your customers that ar

How to send email with personalised purchased products

Hi @DHappy - congrats on your migration to Klaviyo, and welcome to the community! What you need is a flow - this will send emails automatically, based on a specific trigger. In your case, the Placed Order event will trigger the flow.  Using that trigger will give you the event variables you need to dynamically reference the product that was purchased. help! SENDING THE SAME EMAIL UNTIL CUSTOMER MEETS A CONDITION

You’re welcome @markcseri! I’m including a screenshot here of how I’d recommend you build the logic of this flow since that’ll be the easiest way for you to understand how to build your own version… Here’s how you’ll consistently ask people who have not yet subscribed to join your list. The Conditional Split is checking for “IF someone is in the Master list” - this “master” would be your primary list where all subscribers are held. Any signup form you have should be syncing people to that list… So IF someone is NOT in that list, THEN they will receive Email 1A where you thank them for their order, AND prompt them to subscribe to your emails. In order for them to subscribe, you’ll need to build a simple page on your website and embed a Klaviyo signup form on that page, so you have a link they can use. Also - this is a very simple version of what the logic of this flow could be like, as an example for you. Right now, any customer with any number of orders will receive this flow any time

Branded domain - how's it going for you?

Hey @stevekarosik - welcome to the community! I totally understand why you’d feel nervous. A change to something so fundamental as your sending domain and sender reputation is intimidating at first glance.  Keep us posted, but I have a feeling you’ll be pleasantly surprised by an improvement in your email engagement. If you feel cautious going forward, there’s no negative side effects from focusing your campaign sends in the next 2-4 weeks on your most active subscribers. High engagement levels from those segments will help solidify a good sender reputation with your new branded domain.  Overall, this will be a better experience for people on your list. If the email address showing up in their inbox matches your website, they’ll be less likely to think your emails are spam.  This summer, I did a List Health Reset for a new client, and we discovered in the initial audit they did not have a dedicated sending domain setup, which is our standard recommendation.
