Yahoo accounts not receiving emails

Hey @CAMI,If you’re seeing an open event (and/or a click event) but the recipient claims they never did, then there’s a good chance this was done via a bot. This isn’t uncommon as inbox providers will crawl emails to ensure they aren’t malicious. This process could also delay the emails from actually landing in your recipients inbox. After checking their various folders inbox, spam, junk, etc., if your recipient truly hasn’t received the email, then there’s a good chance the email was blocked. This is most commonly caused by the recipient’s inbox settings or their network settings preventing the email from being delivered. I’ve also encountered situations before where the recipient forgot they marked the sender as spam - which would prevent all future emails from being delivered. Ultimately, Klaviyo is the email sending provider, but it is the inbox provider’s role to deliver those emails to the inbox. David

High Bounce Rate on Flow | Fake Email Addresses - Help!

Hello @aerea,I’m sorry to hear you too are facing a similar behavior of having fake addresses found in your account and increasing the profile count. This sort of behavior typically stems from either bots or visitors trying to sign up through your site to gain discounts. It’s typically pretty easy to distinguish the two.For starters, if you aren’t already using double opt-in, I would highly recommend it to prevent these fake profiles from entering your list. This process requires users to confirm their email and subscription prior to being added to the list and help dissuade those simply signing up for a discount. This process will also ensure bots/fake emails are not ending up on your list - which could harm your sending reputation from continued outreaches.Mirroring what @inboxingmaestro has already suggested, incorporating some sort of catpcha verification or list validation system would be the best course of action in preventing this sort of behavior from bots. Overall, the respons

Segments with "Contains" instead of Equals and other hardcoded limitations

Hey @OG-GolfGUY,When creating segments based on the “contains” logic, you would need to either input the exact phrasing or select the object from the dropdown menu. The “contains” logic does not accept partial matches as you’ve assumed. There’s been some past discussion on this, and @alex.hong has some great explanation for this sort of behavior in the Community post below:David

Dynamic date property download

Hey @jvancampen,Are you storing this date as a custom profile property? If so, you should be able to download it simply by exporting the list or segment capturing these profiles and selecting that custom profile property associated with that date during export. I would suggest checking out our How to export a list or segment to a CSV file Help Center article for instructions on how to do this. In the future, I think it may help to also take a look at our How to run a contest or giveaway using subscribe pages and How to take a random sample of a list or segment articles which highlights strategies for running contests. I hope this helps!David

Flow email filters set by date

Hey @DanP,If you haven’t already, I would recommend reviewing our How date-based flows schedule recipients Help Center article.The scenario you mentioned is actually explained in the What happens when a date is updated in the middle of a flow section of it:What happens when a date is updated in the middle of a flowBefore every action in a flow (e.g., before every email or SMS that goes out), Klaviyo verifies that the date used to trigger the flow is still the same. This means that if someone is in a date-based flow but changes the date such that it falls outside the flow’s timeline, they will not be sent any further messages.For instance, say that Jane from the example above is in the middle of a wedding flow.Originally, her wedding date is 5/1/2021 and she just passed the “Wait until 7 Months before person's Wedding” point and received the associated message. Replenishment Flow Best Practice

Hey @DanP,I don’t really think there’s a right or wrong answer towards testing which outcomes performs better. How to boost this homeware brands campaign revenue

Hello @GaryV_123,Welcome to the Klaviyo Community!I personally don’t know if I would focus so much on the entire 5,000 SKUs catalog so much. Instead, I would focus more on the customer’s behavior and understanding their preferences. For example, are you already gathering data through their customers on what type of products they’re in the market for? Are they purchasing these products for themselves or others? Are they new home owners? By asking these sort of questions, you can be more specific in your recommendations and cross sell/upsell strategies that don’t solely rely their past purchasing behavior. I would recommend really taking a look into your customer data and performing a deep analysis on these sort of behaviors along with their purchasing behavior. You can use Klaviyo’s predictive analytics to help along with this endeavor. Performing these analysis will also help in formulating a strategy to understanding what percentage of customers are using coupons and how many of them

You can find that resource in our Glossary of variable filters Help Center article. In my experience, I find it typically works best if you keep your URL as static as possible or by simply adding the dynamic coupon aspect to the end of the URL being pulled dynamically from your event data. David

Showing people's order in my first post-purchase email (WooCommerce)

Hey @Emailim,It doesn’t actually matter what ecommerce backend you’re connected to. Building a dynamic table block follows the same logic and method across all ecommerce backend. Only difference would be the variables as they all differ based on the event/metric used to trigger the flow. Similarly, the table data setting you want to use of either the static or dynamic setting would depend on the event you’re building the block for. The static option would typically used for events that pass top level data or ones that don’t hold much nested data. For example, the viewed product or ordered product events. Using the dynamic option on the other hand is often used for events that pass data that are nested and/or in an array format such as a the checkout started or placed order event. In addition to the article @Brian Turcotte provided, I would recommend taking a look at the Community post that @Anna McCarthy wrote:David

Similar to my explanation in the Send email with dynamic content to specific user via the API Community post I previously shared. As you noted, our previous  render and send template API endpoint is depreciated. Klaviyo no longer supports creating and sending emails via API. In fact, even when the render and send template API was available, it was only limited for testing purposes to preview emails. David

Instead, they’ll appear in the “Marketing Attribution” graphs within Shopify.You can access this report and graph by:From your Shopify admin, go to Analytics > Reports. Click Categories. Subscription orders being falsely attributed to marketing? How to fix?

Thanks for the tag @bluesnapper!@yayifications, if your business relies heavily on subscriptions, a common solution would be to implement a custom placed order that would only fire and record non-recurring orders. You could even take it a step further and create a second placed order event that fires just for recurring orders. Doing so would allow you to use the custom placed order event for non-recurring orders as your conversion metric instead of the Shopify one - separating out recurring orders from your attribution. This strategy has also been mentioned in several past Community posts such as the ones below:David

Hey @y-f,Just to adding to @bluesnapper’s suggestions, I would recommend checking out both our How to use product feeds and recommendations and Catalog lookup tag reference Help Center articles.In addition to those options, I personally prefer use a series of condition splits/trigger splits to separate users based on the product category they subscribed to back in stock for. In doing so, you can use product feeds to curate other products based on the product category branch they’re in. David

Changing domains

Hey @BradyFLO,This error seems to be calling out your organization address - which is preventing you from saving any changes after updating your domain name. I would recommend double checking to make sure it’s entered correctly prior to saving any changes. I.E. if you have an address 2 field to utilize it instead of putting everything on the address 1 field, that the correct city,state, or zip code is used, etc.If you’re in the United States, you can also use this USPS tool to validate and ensure the address is correct. David

List and Segmentation on sign up forms

Hey @leesyb81,Either options or both would actually work! There’s really no right or wrong answer to this as it would all depend entirely on how you want to set things up and the business’ marketing decisions. One solution that I’ve used before with large categories (such as sports teams) is simply embedding an update profile step into a post-purchase flow. Through a series of conditional splits, you can easily apply custom properties to profiles based on their purchases. For sports specifically, I can see this being extremely helpful since not only could you split and apply a property based on the team, but also the sport themselves for better targeting down the road. David
