Klaviyo Event Tracking, Form Opened, & Bounce Rates

Hi,We are seeing a pretty drastic reduction in bounce rates and it's been a challenge to find the culprit.  Originally, I thought the issue was with another third-party vendor as it aligns with when they started to collect data.  However, when I asked them they brought my attention to a Klaviyo event that's firing on our site.Their screenshot:  I have the Klaviyo form listener event set up on GTM, but this was implemented March 29th. I am wondering if something changed regarding the form listener script around April 27th? Thank you,Jonathan

Best approach to automate getting segment predictive metrics

We want to automate getting segement predictive metrics (like Total Customer Lifetime Value, Churn Risk Prediction, Average Days Between Orders, Average Order). Right we are manually downloading that data with .csv file. We asked the support for API, and they said for the moment being it is not posible to get that data with an API. Do you have some workaround for us so we can automate it?

How to get a subtotal on Placed Order metrics having multiple items?

Hello I create an order confirmation email using the placed order metric flow, but upon checking on the available data subtotal data is missing only the subtotal per item is available. Is there another work around on this like adding the subtotal per item?

Will adding in Klaviyo’s CNAME and TXT record impact sending on other ESP platforms?F.A.Q.

Adding Klaviyo’s CNAME and TXT record will not impact sending on other ESP (Email Service Provider) platforms as long as the subdomain created for Klaviyo is different from the other ESP’s sending subdomain. Klaviyo’s CNAME is mainly aimed towards Klaviyo to make use of the subdomain, so it would not interfere with any sending on other ESPs.

My IP reputation on Google Postmaster is poor, but my domain reputation is fine. Does the poor IP reputation affect my deliverability with Gmail?F.A.Q.

Gmail looks at the domain reputation more than they look at your IP reputation. They are aware that reputations of IPs can be impacted by multiple senders, as email marketing often uses  shared IPs at large ESPs like Klaviyo. Meanwhile, the reputation of the domain is in the control of the domain owner/sender. So, the IP reputation has very little impact as long as your sending domain reputation is strong.

Hi folks,  What are you all doing to filter autoresponders, bounced notification and out of office replies? I want emails to reply to my customer service email address, but i don’t need my customer service team spending hours deleting emails after a big campaign. Thank you!

Klaviyo report card - shopify revenue group by missing items

I have a revenue table in analytics with Shopify revenue grouped by item. However, a lot of the products are missing from the table.I’ve reset it/ rebooted it - nothing changes it. The total revenue reported - when I don’t apply a grouping is correct.Is this a known bug? Or is there something I can do to see the correct data?

Google Analytics Reporting More Revenue Than Klaviyo

Hi everyone, I just began to experience the following: Google analytics is attributing more revenue to a Klaviyo email campaign than Klaviyo. My email campaigns have recently been getting clipped.Are the two issues related? Google Analytics should NEVER attribute more conversions and revenue than Klaviyo to email campaigns given how each platform attributes success.What could be the culprit?

Event tracking Klaviyo form submissions on Google Analytics (on Shopify)

I am trying to configure Google Analytics to capture an event (and then a goal) when someone submits their email to a form. I’ve tried to follow the instructions at the link below but am still not having any events captured. https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005077027-How-to-Configure-Google-Analytics-Goal-Tracking-for-a-Signup-Form Has anyone had issues with this and found a resolution? Matching Shopify metrics with Klaviyo

HiI’m trying to understand how to pull revenue reports by segment that line up with the purchasing totals I’m seeing in Shopify. When I go to a person’s profile in Klaviyo I can see total revenue. And that matches up with Shopify. But how can I pull that “revenue” line into an actual report so I can see the spend of certain segments. Thanks

“viewed cart” integration to handy theme shopify

Hi everyone,i have set up a browse abandonment flow for my shopify e-commerce, but noticed that it doesn’t have any input despite the amount of traffic and consumer browsing. I tried the instruction listed on https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005080407-Integrate-with-Shopify#add-web-tracking-to-your-shopify-store3; but unfortunately the product.liquid from the theme didn’t have any codes other than static collection. Does anyone have similar experience, and if you could advise where should I paste the snippets to?  thanks,adeline

Building dashboards

I want to build a dashboard that reports on data for multiple flows. I built a dashboard that reports on ALL flows, but I want one that provides info only on a handful of specific flows. I see where you can use Group values and select “flow” but I don’t see a way to select specific flows. I also see the Filter values enables me to select “flow equal” but I can only enter one flow name, not multiple. Thanks!

Why are emails sent to our internal team/organization getting blocked?F.A.Q.

If you see that emails sent to your internal team or organization are getting blocked, check to see if the account is on a dedicated sending domain or not first. If the account is sending on Klaviyo’s shared sending domain, your organization’s internal filter is most likely blocking the emails because of the From Address and sending domain address misalignment. This misalignment is often seen as spoofing by filters. We suggest setting up a dedicated sending domain for your account. For more information on How to Set Up a Dedicated Sending Domain, check out this article. If the account is on their own dedicated sending domain and emails are still getting blocked (happens with Mimecast quite often), we suggest allow-listing your dedicated sending domain on your filtering software.

An email was sent out, but the recipient never received it. They also checked their junk folders. Why did this happen?F.A.Q.

If we see the “Received Email” metric on the recipient’s profile, it means that the email was received and queued for delivery by the recipient’s server. This does not necessarily mean that the email reached the recipient’s inbox. If the recipient did not receive the message, or if there was a delay in receiving the email while it is showing “Received Email” on the profile, one possible reason could be a filtering program they make use of on their end. If their filtering program is preventing the email from reaching the inbox, they should try allow-listing their dedicated sending domain. Either way, any more information regarding the status of that email can only be provided by the recipient's ISP.

I ran a spam test on my account and it is saying that my emails are going to spam. What should I do?F.A.Q.

Spam test tools are a great way to quickly gauge the sender’s inbox placement; however, you should ultimately focus more on your Klaviyo data instead of over-relying on seed list test results. If your results indicated that there is a widespread spam issue for your account, you would see this reflected in open rates. We always recommend comparing the seed list test results with their Klaviyo data. For example, if the seedlist test reports that a high percentage of emails sent to Gmail were placed in spam folders, then we would expect the open rates to reflect that (i.e., lower open rates). Advanced reports of campaigns and flows are the best place to look within Klaviyo. For more information on  How to Monitor Deliverability Performance, check out this article.

If I decided to halt sending for a period of time, do I need to re-warm my dedicated sending domain?F.A.Q.

If you halt sending for a period of time, it is recommended that you re-warm your dedicated sending domain before you go back to your normal sending cadence. Inbox providers like to see consistency (in both volume and engagement), and if they notice that a specific sender resumes sending after a while, they will potentially flag that sender as suspicious. Note that you don’t need to go through the whole warm up process again. Starting off with a 30 days engaged segment will work!  For additional resources on how to warm up your sending domain, you can check out the Guide to Warming Your Sending Infrastructure article.

Do bounces impact my sender reputation?F.A.Q.

Depending on the type of bounces you are receiving, it is possible that a bounce can have a negative impact on your sender reputation. Hard bounces are permanent errors that often signify the sender is employing poor practices, such as list purchasing, bad list hygiene, or a bad opt-in funnel. As hard bounces are something that the sender can control, elevated hard bounces will affect the sender’s reputation. Meanwhile, soft bounces are caused by  a temporary error (e.g., full inbox) that is out of the sender’s control. Thus, soft bounces are often forgiven and don’t strongly impact your reputation. Is this the reason "Added to Cart" isn't showing in analytics?

Hi everyone,Hope you're having a great week.Yesterday I started optimizing one of my client's email marketing.However, when trying to add the “Added to Cart” snippet on Shopify, I can't get it to show in the analytics tab.I followed the tutorial to a tee, my client's theme doesn't have an ID, but rather a class button.This is the snippet I put on the “product.liquid” section:And I don't know if this is relevant, put there's another snippet before this one as well (unrelated to Klaviyo)If you could help me figure out what is happening I'd be forever grateful. Can I bulk export all metric data for a given metric type?

What's the best way to track % of repeat customers or LTV weekly?

Hi all,I am looking for suggestions please on the best way to track LTV on a weekly basis.We are making various improvements on the site  (magento) and email messaging for customer retention.To drive this activity I want to track customer lifetime value or a good similar indicator to show if this number is heading up or down.If LTV is not available through Klavio, perhaps an easy way to see the %of weekly orders who have purchased before?Any pointers or suggestions? thanks,Alan
