Hi everyone,
Found out that our emails go to our recipients' Promotion folder instead of their Primary Inbox. So they don't see them. Do you have any ideas/recommendations/suggestions on how to prevent our emails to end up in promotions?
Thanks!

Hi
Firstly, it’s important to understand - the intended behaviour for Gmail is to not put marketing emails in the primary tab & to focus on how to deliver a better inbox experience to its recipients by organising different kind of emails into its respective tab - more personal, high intent messages into Primary/updates and promotional content into promotions tab.
Now, if your emails are landing into promotions tab, it’s still in inbox which is better than getting landed in spam.
Instead of worrying about emails landing in the promotions tab, shift your focus to delivering valuable, relevant content to your audience. Send emails that are so loved by your audience that when they see your sender name in their promotions tab, they’re sure to open it. This kind of user behaviour generate a strong positive signal to Gmail and their filters would understand high level of engagement and emails may start landing into primary inbox.
In fact, you can start using ‘Gmail Annotations’ to stand out in the inbox. Keep in mind, these are only available within the Promotions tab. Other than that, if your emails have lot of images and promotional keywords, it’ll be treated as promotional, so you can test minimising such elements and test.
Let me know if you have any further questions.

Mohsin
