Hello,

I’m fairly new to Klaviyo and so far, I’m enjoying the flexibility it offers. It’s been a while since I’ve taken advantage of email marketing and my head is spinning from all the possibilities!

That said, I’m trying to figure out some ways to integrate my email marketing into existing Zaps I have in Zapier and am becoming overwhelmed in the process.

I’ll explain my overall situation, then my automation in Zapier for some background and finally ask how to tie this into Klaviyo.

Situation

We have a lot of innovation items that go through various phases (hardware dev, software dev, tooling, beta testing, production, etc) and along the way, I want to update people whenever a phase is completed as well as provide them with an estimate on how long the next phase will take and when they can expect shipment of the product as we open up pre-orders in the early phases.

Zapier

I have a Google Sheet that I use to change the various phases and select an updated date for the completion of that phase as well as the estimated ship date. Screenshot below:

Whenever the phase changes and/or the completion dates change, it triggers a Zap that will update our website showing the current phase and the estimated completion times.

All the data shown in the screenshot is passed within the Zap and can be used as dynamic values.

Klaviyo

What I’d like to do, in addition to updating the website, is to send an email blast to anyone who has subscribed to updates on the product using the dynamic data shown in the screenshot above.

For example, here is a template I’ve created in Klaviyo:

Very basic, but what I’d like to do is have dynamic values inserted where the ____’s are.

So, where it says, “Phase __”, I’d like the value taken from Zapier and put where the __ is (in this case, Beta Testing equates to Phase 4 in Zapier, so it would say, “Phase 4 is complete”).

There are other dynamic values I’d like to add to the email, but I think if I can figure out how to pass one value from Zapier to the other, I can figure out the rest.

It would also be nice to figure out how to create dynamic pictures so that I can just use one template, but show various products depending on what innovation item is used.

• I currently have an integration with Shopify where all my products are housed and can tie in there if needed
