Hey team,

Just setting up some unique coupon codes to send to customers for use on our Shopify website. I want to set an expiry date and time for the coupon, ie: expires on 28/11/24 at 12PM.

However, in the coupon creation page, I can see I can set an expiration date, but not an expiration time. I was curious to see what time unique codes with an expiration date are set to expire by default (ie: 12AM on the 28th) and if there is a way for me to manually set a time for coupon expiry?

I hope this makes sense and thanks in advance.

Cheers.

Hey @Swazi2024

Did you create these unique coupon codes in Klaviyo? yes you wont be able to set an expiration time and just the date. However since you want to the code to expire why not create a static discount in shopify instead? that expires at a set time?

Hi @Swazi2024

Coupons set on a date of expiration means it expires at midnight of that time.  Since Klaviyo creates the coupon code via the Shopify API, and are in fact Shopify native coupons, you can verify this by going into Shopify and seeing those coupons get created and see their expiration date (and time).

Unfortunately, as of now, Klaviyo doesn’t let you set the time of expiration, just the date as you mentioned.  See here:

@Swazi2024 For now we can just set the activation date and expiry date but not time.

as you can see in ss , no option to set the time for expiry date.
