We keep our newsletter segments pretty clean, we have a current client segment and a general newsletter list. You could also likely segment based on services offered by using a flow to tag contacts based on the pages they viewed.
Some background, we do digital advertising, email marketing, and Shopify/eComm consulting. Our newsletter is mostly around what we are seeing the the direct to consumer space for outdoor industry brands.

Hey @bradygillian3963, similar to what @Akers Digital said, keeping it pretty clean and easy. Depends on how wide your offering is too, but our focus is narrow and North America so it doesn't get too complicated.
Identifying a goal for your list will also help answer that question. Ours is to nurture and stay top of mind of prospects and educate/provide market insights for customers. We don't push for the sale too hard, that will come from our direct outreach.
