Hi community,

I am looking at setting up a review flow with an AB test logic (with and without a discount code) to encourage customers to leave a review via Stamped.

I understand that to deliver the code to those customers who have submitted a review, I would need to set up a different segment which is built using the SubmittedReview API event (by Stamped). What I am unsure of is how to target the customers who have clicked the Email message version B (with the discount code) in the Review Flow.

How do I best configure this while setting up segment?

I would appreciate your tips and experience!

Thank you!

Hey @Natalia Popova

Welcome to the Klaviyo community

In the email with the discount code (Version 😎, you should include a unique URL or add a UTM tracking parameter to the URL. This helps you differentiate between clicks on Version A and Version B.

For instance:

This parameter (?source=discount) will help you identify clicks from the email that offered a discount code.

  • Now Create a new segment.
    • Set the conditions to identify users who clicked on the specific link or tracking parameter included in Version B of the email. For example:
      • "What someone has done" > "Clicked Email" > "Where URL equals" > ;URL with unique tracking parameter].
    • AND (Use AND condition)
    • "What someone has done" > "SubmittedReview" > "At least once".

Now you can trigger a new flow with this segment and deliver a discount code

I hope this helps

Cheers

Thanks Arpit, that’s helpful!

Apart from unique URL tracking, do you have experience retargeting users who have engaged with specific e-mail message from a flow in a marketing campaign? I am curious to know what is the common way to do it in Klaviyo.

Thank you!

Natalia

Hey @Natalia Popova

Yes you can do that by again creating a segment like below where you can filter out based on the flow

You can also filter out based on each email (from a flow), by using “Message” instead of ‘flow’ you see in the above screenshot.

You can even filter based on variation of an A/B test that you are running by using “Message variation” as below

You can use these segments and target these profiles in campaigns etc

I hope this helps

That’s what I was after, thank you Arpit!

The message I want to retarget does not pop up for me among available messages right now but I assume, it has to be sent first to populate.

Thank you very much!

Natalia

Hi @ArpitBanjara,

thanks again for your inout above!

Just a quick question: where do I find the message variation id outside of the segment building? On your screenshot above it is VXKTZc.

Since I used the same flow for testing (cloned), I would like to double check if I am using the right message for building my segment.

Thank you!

Natalia

Hey @Natalia Popova

Great question - you can find it in the URL of the variation

I hope this helps

Fantastic, thank you Arpit!
