Abandoned Cart - Single purchase vs Subscription

Hi @ccs-aeh Thank you for posting your question in the community! While I have not directly used Skio for subscription programs with my clients, I’d imagine they integrate into Klaviyo with some of the similar information I have seen from other subscription platforms like Recharge. That said, I believe you should be able to, but it might be a little more complicate.First, if you / your client have unique collections or SKUs at the product level that designate a single item vs. a subscription item, you can use a trigger split in the flow to target that collection. Second, I’d imagine Skio passes active subscription data into the profile properties for users as well as event data for new/cancelled subscriptions. I would start with the events to see what data they are passing to designate when a new event/subscription is created. For this to work, you would set up a flow using the Checkout Started event, but suppress anyone who also had the “Started Subscription” event, as an example. Alt

Which Social Platform Do You Spend Time On To Get Ecommerce Advice For Your Store?

Hi @worcestershiresauce Great question! While I like IG for content, I’ve found that store owners/employers are not seeking content there or engaging with content. I’ve predominently seen LinkedIn as the best source for quality content and were owners/employers are engaging. Twitter use to be a good community as well, but I haven’t been on the platform recently. Slack also hosts some good communities. It can be a little challenging to find the right ones because they usually are invite-only, but you might be able to find some via some simple searching. I hope that helps! @In the Inbox

Some profiles aren't receiving emails despite the single opt-in

Hi @veejaybee Thank you for posting your question in the community!The subscription status of “Subscribed” and “Never Subscribed” simply shows whether or not the user has implicitly subscribed. The never subscribed status references contacts in your account that were likely added via your ecommerce integration where they made a purchase, didn’t explicitly opt in for marketing, but in the US they are still eligible for receiving email. Within Klaviyo, the only subscription status the will dictate whether someone receives an email is the “suppressed” status which will not send to a user.Its hard to know exactly why these contacts are not getting the emails without a little more information, but I have two initial ideas for you to look into that might be causing the emails to not send. One, I would double check your segmentation criteria for your campaigns. While someone is subscribed, they might not be meeting your segmentation criteria for your campaigns. I suspect this is the primary c

How do I add header links to the welcome flow emails?

Hi @Sunil I am so sorry to hear you are having difficulty using the email editor, and I hope I can help guide you to a better experience. If I understand your question correctly, you are attempting to use the Header Bar block in the editor, but not sure how to add your unique links.When you add the header bar to your email template, make sure the block is active. You’ll see a blue border around the block when you click on it and active the editing process. When the block is selected, you’ll see the editing menu on the left-had side of your screen update with the parameters to customize. To add the links for the header block, you’ll want to scroll down to the content section in the editor where you’ll find the links. By default it starts with 2 links, but you can click the “Add Links” button below it to add more. You simply need to click on the arrow icon to expand one of the link placements to add your link, text, etc. Please see the screenshot below.I hope this helps! Can you filter products by category in a post purchase email flow?

Hi @hwatterworth Welcome to the community!Based on your description, you should be able to exclude products from the post-purchase email where you don’t include any products that aren’t custom made. However, this would require some custom coding and the use of a Shopify tag (assuming you are using Shopify). The following post by @retention should help guide the process. Even though its specific to a cart abandon, the process/approach will be similar. With BFCM coming quickly, what is one tactic or strategy you recommend as a must-have for your cart abandon series?

Hi @Kylie W Thank you for sharing your top three recommendations! You’re 100% right about customer reviews. The more social proof, especially during BFCM, the higher likelihood people will be motivated to complete their purchase.The idea of including an item in the cart abandon email that has already sold out is interesting. Do you have any examples of how you present that!? If you have any examples, I’d love to see that. I am also really intrigued by the idea of personalizing campaigns to people who have purchased during this time. Do you give them early access? Do you offer them different deal that non-returning customers would have? How do you set up your segments? I would image there is a subsegment of people who ONLY purchase during BFCM and people who have purchased during BFCM as well as throughout the year. Hi @retention Thanks for sharing some of your recommendations and tactics for BCFM.  A neat trick is to use a Universal Content Block so you can update this quickly across all the Cart Abandonment messages during BFCM.Another trick is to setup a “A/B Test” and switch the weights during BFCM to 90% weighted on the BFCM Message so you can quickly switch back and have some data to see if it helped. I love both of these suggestions! I’ve recommended the universal blocks (a feature I think it really under used throughout the year) but really impactful during BFCM. The weighting of BFCM messaging and being able to toggle those weights for both testing and need, is really smart. I will definitely look at implementing this with my clients!Lastly the idea of redirecting to a dedicated BFCM LP containing all of the deals is super interesting. Hi @ebusiness pros Thank you for sharing your thoughts and recommendations. I really like the special consideration for “High Value” carts and how best to define them. I agree with you, it is very brand specific and dependent on their AOV. When it comes to defining “High Value” with some of my clients, we’ve looked at a couple of other aspects include number of purchase to define a customer as “VIP” or looking at their actual loyalty program. In both cases, we didn’t offer any additional discount or incentive (though, I love the free gift idea), but merely use the email copy to give the customer a more personalized and exclusive experience while simply reminding them of their benefits of being a loyalty member. If someone was not a loyalty member but a returning customer, we not only used the cart abandon emails to market the items they left, but prompt them to join the loyalty program to be able to apply those benefits (automatic saves, free shipping, etc). which has really helped.One

Hi @mcmm Similar to @KatherineB recommendation above, do you have your samples saved under a specific Shopify Collection? In Klaviyo, you can set up you flows and configure them with a trigger/flow filter such that if the placed order includes that specific product collection, the flow will not fire. That might be another approach to removing those specific orders from your repeat purchase flow.Best,@In the Inbox

Unsubscribe button in email

Hi @lollygag Thank you for posting your question in the community! Within the email editor, if you select a text block element, you can add personalization to the email. When you click on the figure icon in the editor, you’ll see a dropdown menu. At the top, there are 4 Template Tags, one of which is the Unsubscribe. You’ll get a tag that looks like this: {% unsubscribe %}You can copy that tag and add it to the URL of a button element. Then, if someone clicks on it from your email, they will be unsubscribed and taken to a confirmation page confirming their subscription status has been updated.I hope this helps! Hi @jvancampen Thank you for posting your question in the community, and I’d be happy to try and help!To confirm, based on your screenshot, it looks like you’ve set up a segment (which I am assuming is your trigger for your flow), where you want to use either an embedded form submit or engagement with a recent email campaign to trigger someone into the flow. A couple of questions:For the embedded form, did that subscribe contacts to a specific list with the source = Denver Gem Show 2023? If so, that might be a better option than the viewed page. Is it a requirement that the user clicked on a specific link or any link within the email they received?Based on those questions, I have a couple of thoughts:I would group the email engagement into one nested set of criteria and the form submit in another nested set of criteria. If someone received a specific email “message = Join Us: Denver Gem Show 2023” then I would set the click (if the action of clicking is required to be entered into the

Determining if your flows need more or less emails

Hi @Levi1129 Thank you for posting your question in the community. I think this is an interesting question. My initial thought would be to assess the purpose of the flow and each email in the flow as to whether or not another message is needed.For example, if your email series is meant to drive conversions, I’d look at the placed order rate. If the placed order rate continues to be high for each email in the message, then you want to add a message to extend it.Now, in the context of removing a message, If you see the placed order rate is low, that doesn’t necessarily warrant removing the message (in my opinion) because it is still driving some revenue.I think click rate is a good measure to look at, but I’d also look at unsubscribe, spam compliant, and conversion rates. But rather than remove the message altogether, if you see an email with a low click rate, or high unsubscribe rate, this is an indication of:If click rates are low it could be a measure of the content, it could be an op

Collecting feedback from inactive subscribers

Hi @gemmatoys Thanks for posting your question in the community. To the point that @bluesnapper commented above, there are many ways to collect customer feedback through Klaviyo or other forms, but at the core of the problem, in order to collect any feedback, you need customers to interact with your business.If they have stopped opening emails, you could try sending a email with an incentive, but depending on how long they’ve unengaged with your business, you should expect low response rates.Soo, you could start surveying recently subscribed contacts to get their feedback earlier. Rather than wait until they haven’t opened an email for 180 days, start emailing contacts who haven’t opened in the last 60 days, or 45 days after their last engagement. You can start to survey what types of content they want to hear more from you so you can start to adjust your strategies. You can also look at other channels to try and collect information...Have these customers every purchased from you? Hi @In the Inbox  Depending on what our key message is in that specific email, we will tailor which review is presented. For example; if the email is around introducing the brand more, then reviews that speak of service from that brand are displayed. We also find having these shown mid way through email are best too. If the email is about a key product or collection, then we choose product focused reviews to be displayed and will display these against this product. Certainly, we use Stamped.io for collecting our reviews primarily, however we also have many customers who email in directly too. I know there is alot more we can do here in terms of capture! Wow great discussion @In the Inbox! And such great info from @Bobi N.  @inboxingmaestro, @Kylie W.    Something else to consider is that when people enter your welcome flow, this is the most engaged and excited they will be. I usually aim to have the whole welcome flow deliver within 10 days of subscribing, when subs are most likely to convert.    Depending on your product, or if it’s a bigger ticket item or requires a lot of education or understanding, using the welcome flow to start educating the customer primes them for their purchase. In addition to delivering a welcome offer, showcasing social proof, and collecting info on your subs (I love using profile property update links for this), this is also a great place to show your subs what you’re all about - your brand, your mission, your USP. How to get a vertically-stacked abandoned cart flow?

Hi @lyonm In addition to @Spark Bridge Digital LLC recommendation above, I’ve been able to create vertical stacked dynamic blocks using the new Sections element within the builder. The section element allows you to configure it as a dynamic block similar to any individual content block like a table or text block, but because you are using a section, you can stack multiple content blocks and then have the dynamic repeat apply to all elements within that section. In this example, you can see the section outline with the image and text blocks stacked.  I hope this helps!@In the Inbox

@In the Inbox Well i think the obvious answer would be discounts :D haha  But honestly Exit intent flow that we are having which is partially a welcome flow is the most intentional flow there is and that drives the most sales.. It starts with pop up showing on collection and product pages showing when people try to exit the page and it offers a discount if people buy immediately.. so everyone who subscribes is expecting a code. So this is one of our best performing flows in all aspects for all of our clients..  Hi @Bobi N. Great idea! In this case, are your flows from an Exit Intent different than if someone had signed up on entry? Is it just one email to deliver the coupon/offer, or do you include other emails? While you are working to capture the first conversion, how do you frame the email to also try and build relationships? Great idea for a conversation @In the Inbox  😁 One key principal I stand by for engaging customers (and this is not only specific to Welcome Flow, but is a key aspect of this) is Social Proof. Social Proof is key (in my opinion) when engaging your customers. It is relatable, it is honest, it is an insiders voice to the product and now days, it is required by the audience.  Social Proof can be displayed in many ways throughout email communication, to capture an audience and to best showcase your product/s and or services. Link to abandoned cart not working (Shopify)

Hi @lydsalison I wanted to chime in as perhaps the following will help further troubleshoot the issue @Akers Digital was assisting with. Everything Akers Digital outlined above would be the exact same I would suggest, but if you’ve confirmed all of the steps, there might be one other thing to consider. I ran into a similar situation myself where I was testing a new cart abandon email for a client. I would preview the cart links in Klaviyo for a real customer, but when I clicked through, I was redirected to the homepage, which seemed odd. So I investigated further.What could be happening is that you are viewing abandoned cart data in Klaviyo while the customer has already completed an order and Shopify has removed the abandoned cart session for their system. When Shopify removes the abandoned cart session ID from their system, Klaviyo redirects to the homepage because they need the cart ID to redirect back to the customers pre-saved cart.Another Klaviyo user was having this happen as we

"Add to cart" trigger is missing

Hi @nambirajanks Thank you for posting your question in the community! The Add to Cart function is an additional script outside of the standard Checkout Started event that needs to be added. Once the script has been added, the campaign functions very similarly to the Viewed Product/Browse Abandonment, meaning, the event will fire for each product that is added to the cart, so, you’ll want to configure the flow to only send the email once within a session. The following Klaviyo guide should help answer the majority of your questions. https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001396711The URL will be {{ event.URL }} and the image will be {{ event.imageURL }}.This previous community post also includes some helpful guidance on setting up the flow filters.I hope this helps!
