SMS -Number tracking

Hi @Sumit_2809, welcome back to the community! So, as far as I know, you can’t put HTML in an SMS message.  Some devices, such as IOS/iPhones do make certain text appear like a link with an underline.  However, that’s just the way the device renders what it thinks is a number (or address, URL, etc) and it can vary from different phones and sometimes the users’ settings.If you want to track clicks in your SMS campaigns, one workaround is to link to a dedicated page on your site such as “Contact Us” with a phone number that’s clickable to call. You can then track all the clicks to the page in your SMS campaigns while also making it easy for the user to one-tap call the number without having to type it in manually.The HTML for that is:<a href="tel:123-456-7890">123-456-7890</a>Just note, every click to the dedicated page with the phone number may not necessarily result in a call.  You may want to use other website analytics (or GA4) to track those page visits that results in a

How to export large amount of data through Klaviyo's API (events, segments' profiles) ?

As far as I know, the only other way to get large volume of events out of Klaviyo and into your own datawarehouse (Redshift, S3, BigQuery, Snowflake, etc) is with the Klaviyo CDP syncing feature. You can see the documentation here:Understand data warehouse syncing in KlaviyoJust note, the CDP feature is sold separately.

CTR Reporting

For what it’s worth, I’ve seen CTR (click through rate) defined both as clicks over open, and as clicks over received.  And I think the labelling has evolved slightly over time here at Klaviyo.Just to confirm here, Klaviyo’s glossary defines these as:Click rate: the percentage of people who clicked a link in your message out of the people received it.Click through rate: the percentage of people who clicked a link in your message out of the people who opened it....Not to further confuse it with:Unique click rates: the number of individuals clicking a link in your email or SMS divided by the number of recipients. 😱I don’t see it i the Custom Analytics either, but if you had to create it yourself, I guess you can add a column in your spreadsheet of the export and calculate it accordingly (Unique Clicks / Unique Opens).

Orginization URL and Shopify URL are different - how to use Flows with Shopify?

Hi @jamesder, so I would use the URL that you want as your default organization URL - perhaps this is the marketing site URL for you in this case. For all other places where you need the other URL, you can always replace the Template Variable {{ organization.url }} with your preferred one by hard coding the URL instead of using the variable.Are there places where this approach doesn’t work or conflicts somehow?

How to enter former profiles within the "1st Anniversary" flow

Just chiming in here, thanks for the shoutout @JessFosnough.I did ponder about a way to add those past profiles who’s purchase anniversary is coming, but before the date triggered Flow was created… but I think I came to some of the same conclusion you guys have discussed in this thread. Instead, I’d offer this workaround similar to what we do with Birthday anniversaries in the similar situation.We create monthly groups of those folks that *should* have received an “anniversary” and send it at the 1st of each month.  It’s not as snazzy as sending it on the actual 1-year mark, but I think it’s a good compromise.  Klaviyo has a “day is in the month of” condition that’s handy for this scenario.Here’s an example of the “Birthday Months” (for May in this case) - but you can adjust it for your Purchase Anniversary date field for each of the Months:  You can create those Segments ahead of time, and schedule them ahead of time (check the box for Determine recipients at send time) until you’re a

Just adding in here, @Victoria_ap_G method is the easiest and fastest way to get to a Klaviyo hosted subscribe page, which I think is what you’re trying to do.Alternatively, you can also create an “Embed Form” in Klaviyo Signup Forms and then copy/paste the code form snippet into a dedicated page on your site. Here’s some documentation on how to do that here:How to embed a sign-up form on your website

Welcome email flow is behaving erratically!

@LuV - welcome to the community!Check the Recipient Send Times (of each message) by going to each of the messages in the Flow, then click on “View Details” :See here:Then click on Recipient Activity (top tab), then Recipients. To the right you’ll see all the different send time (my test account doesn’t have any sends). Compare your inbox timestamp with those timestamp, as I suspect your 2 min time delay could be a bunch of factors external to Klaviyo:How fast your email system updates/retrieves email (does your email client refresh, push/pull?) How long sometimes email bounces around the internet (relays) before getting to you.  Sometimes network outages, retries, or re-routing happens.If those still look out of order or sync, try a slightly longer wait time to be a bit more forgiving.You may also want to check https://status.klaviyo.com/ to see if you happened to be doing a test during a hiccup in their infrastructure.I’m not giving Klaviyo Engineers any free passes here since they do

Best approach for multiple languages

Hi @Lucia937, welcome back to the community.This is a great topic! Frankly, I was hoping others would share so I can learn too. I’m not aware of any other features that are specific to localization, aside perhaps the recent launch of Portfolios (today!) which only applies if you have separate Klaviyo accounts for each region.But I’ve done this for my clients with both using Segments or Lists due to their setup or constraints. Hi @epera, welcome to the community.Klaviyo supports .TTF font formats, but they have to be first hosted in a publicly accessible place first. Birthday property date formatting

@MW2024 - glad to help!A few answers to your follow-up questions:If you are doing a one-time import, I would recommend you reformat your date/time data to the supported date/time format.  As far as I know, from the documentation, it should be in YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS format for it to work with your Segments, Conditional Logic around dates, and Date Triggered Flows down the road. If you are using the “Date” Block in Klaviyo Signup Forms, I think behind the scene, it stores the data in YYYY-MM-DD (even though the interface shows MM/DD/YYYY or otherwise) Just to reiterate, I think you can present the date/time format to the users in the way that is conventional to your local region, but the actual data is stored in Klaviyo in the supported format.  If this is all done in a Klaviyo Signup Form, it should be good!As a quick reference, her are the various date formats in the Date Block within Klaviyo Signup Form:

Shopify product tag not available for conditional trigger split in flow

Hi @JuleeF, welcome back to the community!Typically, when you add new tags to your Shopify Products, they don’t start appearing as a Segmentation drop-down option until exactly 1 event has happened with that tag that you added has occurred. Klaviyo doesn’t retroactively update all past events with the new tags, so it only “sees” the tag moving forward.  Until it “sees” the first event with that tag does it now let you use it as a “dropdown” option in Segments (or in Trigger Splits/Filters).  Since it’s been a few hours since you posted this, it’s likely that tag should show up now! Let us know. :)

Feature Request: Delay in Flows to be able to set to a specific date

Hi @dleon33,I think this a great idea!  I don’t know your particular circumstance, but you can do this with a bit of a workaround.  First, use the “Update Profile Property Action” in a Flow and set that specific date as a Custom Profile Property.  Next, in a separate Flow, create a “Date Property Triggered Flow” based on that profile property.Now, you can have one flow that sets the date, and the other Flow that happens at (or before) the date you set. Not sure if that’s super clear, but if not let me know and I’ll try to add some screenshots to help!

Prevent Klaviyo generating hundreds of dynamic discount codes in Shopify

Hi @Jenn_C, welcome to the community!From what I remembered, the limit of discount codes in Shopify was 10 or 20 million codes.  So if that’s your primary concern, I don’t think that’s an issue.However, the documentation in Klaviyo does say that they generate code for Flows in batches of 100:Unique coupon codes for live flow emails are generated automatically in batches of 100. When the number of coupon codes is depleted below 100, or if the price rule of expiration period change, Klaviyo will generate another 100 coupon codes. This ensures that there are always enough codes available for live flow emails, but it can also lead to a large number of coupons generated in Shopify as well as in the Total coupons tab in Klaviyo. So I’m not sure why you’re seeing 600 codes every day, do you have other codes in other Flows? Is it for the same coupon code batch (Same Coupon Name)?

klaviyo Postcard flows

Just chiming in here, Post Pilot has an API implementation with using a Klaviyo webhook - so you can now “send a postcard” anywhere within a Flow.  How can I trigger postcards from a Klaviyo flow?It’s a bit more tricky and technical to setup, but it’s totally doable without developers even though it’s API driven.  @ebusiness pros I think you’ll find it useful and unlock a few more strategic ways to use Post Pilot.

Linking a CTA to automatically log a customer into their Shopify account

Hi @Madelena V, welcome to the community!As far as I know, Shopify doesn’t let you generate an access token to log in a user from a link.  I think they restrict this for security purposes.  There are some third party tools that manages single-signon or “multipass” which may allow some capabilities of a “login url” (with some expiration time) - but those are for really advanced Shopify Plus sites that require more complex user management systems.  I think you can direct people to the “My Account” page on your site, and if they are currently logged in on their browser (or device), they should go right to that page.  If they need to log in, Shopify will present the login page to them. If you really want to simplify the login process, you can also make it easier for your users to login with other methods of authentication such as Shopify’s Shop Pay or other third party logins (Google, Facebook/Meta, etc).  Some of that implementation does require developer resources, or a Shopify App or ot

Post-Purchase Pre-order Flow with Tags

HI @KirsSemple, welcome to the community!When you say you’re Placed Order “pre-order tag”, are you putting a tag called “pre-order” whenever an order in Shopify has a pre-order?  Is this manually done?Or, are certain products (variants) tagged “pre-order” at the product or variant level?  I suspect that if you are manually tagging orders as they come in, then those tags don’t make it to Klaviyo when the purchases happen.  But if you are adding the tag at the product level, you can use the Flow triggered by the event “Ordered Products” instead of Placed Order so that you can filter it down to those with the “pre-order” product tag.If you can show us a bit more detail on your setup with screenshots, we’re happy to help further!

Automatically suppress Amazon customers pulled in through Shopify integration

@Delta Romeo - Thanks for sharing your solution, you explained it way better than I did - I think the screenshot is super helpful too!Just to clear up my explanation from a while back, I’m on the exact same page as you.  So long as you exclude those cypher-text emails from Amazon (or other marketplaces like eBay, Walmart, etc) from your Campaigns and Flow Messages, you should be fine.For Campaigns, you can do this two ways:1) Exclude from Campaigns, Used the Exclude feature in Campaigns. So in this case, EXCLUDE the List “Amazon Profiles.”  You just have to remember to do this every time.2) Create a Segment that Excludes Amazon Profiles Or, if you have a Segment you use regularly for Campaigns, for example your Engaged 60 Days Segment, you can also add those rules but inverted (AND email does not contain Amazon, etc).   Remove from FlowsDon’t forget to Filter them out from your Flows too! (Especially your Welcome Series or any List Triggered Flows that they might be in).  In the Flow F

Shopify Add to cart snippet stopped working/sending info

HI @Plant Pully,I think I found your site, and on a quick inspection of the source code, I don’t see the “Added to Cart” code snippet on your current live product page (the one in your screenshots).Is it possible that when you were testing it, you were in a Shopify Theme preview, and you haven’t yet published it live? Or, perhaps another Theme you published replaced/overwrote the code snippet?

How do I become a verified sender on email marketing?

Hi @anonoying, welcome to the community!To be a “verified sender” in most inbox providers’ context, is to make sure you implement Klaviyo’s branded sending domain. This ensures that the inbox provider recognizes your Klaviyo emails are coming from your domain and not from an unknown entity (aka spammer, hacker, etc).You can read more about it, and watch the videos here:How to set up a branded sending domainThere’s a few ways to go about this depending on where your domain was purchased (GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc), but this does involve some settings on your DNS (domain name server).I realize it’s an extra step and process, but even Google and Yahoo are now more stringent about this and requiring this extra security process to ensure that their recipients are not going to fall victim to phishing or spam emails from nefarious actors. Hope this helps!

Send copy of order confirmation without sending to customer

Hi @hyfidel, welcome to the community.Klaviyo has a Flow Action called “Internal alert” for this exact purpose.  You can set this alert anywhere you want in an existing Flow.  Or in your case, you can create a Flow triggered on each Placed Order (or Fulfilled Order) event with no emails to the end customers at all, but simply to send the internal alert.Here’s some documentation on how to set that up:How to add a internal alert action to a flowJust note a few things:You can’t use an existing “Template” - you may have to rebuild it in the body of the message but you can use all the variables and conditional logic that you want similar to the Template.  For example, you can loop across all the items in the order. Your shipping/logistics partner has to confirm the initial opt-in (just one time) when you set this up.Hope this help!
