How to see time of day for open and click in reports

Is it possible to run a report in Klaviyo to see what time of day, on a specific day of the week, people are opening emails the most? For example, I’d like to send an email on Sunday at the time they would most likely open the email. I’ve used Smart Send Time to identify the best time of day to send an email but Sunday is a different kind of day than any weekday.Likewise, is it possible to see this for other metrics such as click and purchase? Thanks.

Started with Dedicated IP and then swapped without any notification

Upon establishing a new account, we were assured eligibility for a dedicated IP based on our account size. With this expectation, we engaged in a comprehensive six-week IP warming phase with the guidance of an onboarding specialist. However, after two months, a troubling pattern emerged: our emails consistently landed in spam. Perplexed by this, we conducted further investigation, only to be informed by customer service that, contrary to our initial understanding and without prior notice, our emails were being sent from a shared IP.This revelation was both unexpected and disappointing, as it starkly contrasted with the initial commitments made to us. Has anyone here encountered a similar sudden shift in IP assignments for their account? I'm curious about the potential reasons behind such changes.I appreciate any insights or shared experiences you might have regarding navigating these types of service discrepancies.

Despite our efforts to maintain high engagement and deliverability rates, our daily marketing campaigns consistently land in the promotions tab for our subscribers.Background:Our business model requires us to send daily campaigns to our subscribers, showcasing new items in our store. Each email typically features 12-13 products. Tools like Gmass and Warmup Inbox indicate a high deliverability rate, with most emails landing in the inbox during testing phases. However, when we send out our actual campaigns, they invariably end up in the promotions tab.Steps Taken:We've been using Warmup Inbox to improve our domain's reputation, which shows promising results outside of our actual campaigns. Warming Account - Google and Yahoo Branded Sending Domain

Hi guys, I have a client who has only just (a few days ago) put her Google and Sender Requirements in place. Looking at the Klaviyo help articles I can see it says you don’t need to warm the domain if it was registered over 30 days ago, however being only a few days since she registered how should I go about sending campaigns? She obviously doesn’t want to stop sending her campaigns for 30 days so just wondering about the best way to go about this without hurting deliverability. Should I warm her account as usual?  Thanks in advance

Facebook Lead Ad Segment Members - new and existing profiles?

Hello. We are running a classic ebook Lead ad campaign on Facebook (FB) where users can optin via FB form with their name and email in order to recieve the ebook. The optin info is then passed into a Klaviyo segment.What we would really like to know is how many of these optins, coming to this Klaviyo segment from FB lead ads, are actually new and how many are existing Klaviyo profiles.Obviously we would like to primarily target users on FB that we dont already “have” in Klaviyo. We are using a FB custom segment of all Klaviyo subs that we are excluding from the FB lead ad campaign as well.Appreciate any ideas on how we can check this data.Best regards.

Is there a way to set a longer timeframe to see campaign results?

I’ve noticed that Klaviyo only shows the results for two days worth of data following the sending of a campaign. Is there any way to change that setting? I’d love to be able to see results for a full week after each campaign vs. just two days. Thanks!

Can I delete a placed order event?

For context we manage several different websites through one CMS. One of which deals with most parcels with an average order value of around £20, with the other websites normally being around £300 an order. An order was msitakenly put through the parcel website on the CMS, so has come through as a placed order event on Klaviyo for about £300. It has counted this as revenue for an tactical email today  which massivley puts out reporting. Is there a way to manually delete this event and fix reporting?

Machine Opens vs Apple MPP opens

A few questions about analytics:1. What is the difference between an apple privacy open and a machine open?2. Is there a circumstance where a machine open could be true, but it’s NOT an apple privacy open?3. If the answer to 2 is yes, is there a way to get a report, or build a segment of subscribers, to see how many opens are machine opens? I have looked, and haven’t seen this metric as an option, even though machine open is part of the metadata connected to opens.I feel as though I have seen a lot more machine opens lately, but I don’t know if it has always been that way and I’m just now noticing, or if it is actually increasing. If I could run a report or build a segment, then I could at least know if my concerns are valid or not.

What are Klaviyo’s SPF and DKIM records?F.A.Q.

Klaviyo automatically applies the necessary SPF (sender policy framework) and DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail)records when you have a dedicated sending domain set up for your account. When the CNAME records are added to your DNS, a subdomain is created and delegated over to Klaviyo to control and make use of. At this point, Klaviyo automatically adds the necessary SPF/DKIM records to set your account up to send emails using your own dedicated domain. On your end, you only need to add the prescribed CNAMEs; no records are required.For additional resources, you can learn How to Set up a Dedicated Sending Domain in this article.

Hello,If I update my DMARC record will I then be compliant? I have a branded from email: hello@brand.com for example so does this mean Klaviyo already has my authentication? Where can I see a report for the channel opens by device? Desktop vs mobile vs tablet for the whole channel, not message by message. Is there a dashboard for that? I made a custom report for client family os but it seems like there should be an easier way to view it for the whole channel.

viewed product event not working for shopify pages vs product details pages

We have an issue with the Viewed Product event for the Browse Abandonment flow - it doesn’t seem to work. Does anyone know if Klaviyo supports Shopify Pages, not the Product Detail Pages for the VIewed Product event? Is klaviyo not set up to treat Shopify Pages (not PDPs) visits as triggers for this flow?And how can I maybe manually set up the event on the Shopify pages if it is possible at all. Please help!

Email Received AND Bounced

I have a profile that shows the last several emails we sent were received, and that those same emails bounced (soft – mailbox unavailable/full). Most show the bounce with the same timestamp as received, but the most recent send shows the bounce several hours after it was received. I’m wondering if anyone else has encountered this, and if there is a way to know which metric is true – my guess is that the emails bounced. Also, I’m guessing the 7 soft bounce rule that suppresses a profile will not apply in this case, since it looks as though emails were received in between the bounces – correct? Screenshot showing the same emails being received and bouncing Screenshot showing details of bounced email

Reincluding Freenet to your mailing-list

Hey guys, back when we set up our klaviyo account we had to exclude t-online and freenet from our mailing list as no mails arrived. I just checked yesterday whats the exact issue with those emails and noticed we can now send to freenet without any problem. Some messages were sent to those and arrived regularry. We set up SPF/DKIM last summer. Could it be that this fixed the issue with sending to freenet and do you think it’s alright to reinclude those mails to our mailing-segments? Also we use a branded sending domain. :)Was there a known issue with sending to freenet? Can we include these again? Thanks in advance! Kind regards,Amina

Mimecast deliverability

We’re having problems getting out emails to consistently and successfully deliver to Mimecast. Have read on article that suggests to remove open and click tracking as mimecast doesn’t like that, not ideal, but wondering if it’s worth trying to build up successful deliveries and then turn tracking back on when we have built up successful delivery.If we turn tracking off - is that for all campaigns or can it be done campaign specific?Any other suggestions to try?

Klaviyo is summing up two different currencies without converting them. Total revenue is getting messed up everywhere.

On our website, we offer two currency options: 'CAD' and 'USD'. I recently examined one of our campaigns where the "Placed Order (aka Total Revenue)" amounts to $400. This amount is actually the sum of two recipients' purchases—one from the USA and the other from Canada. These recipients made purchases totaling USD 140 and CAD 260. Klaviyo is not performing any currency conversion before adding these two different currencies amounts to show as "Placed Order (aka Total Revenue)" of the campaign. It's simply adding two different currencies together. And also displaying it as $XXX.XX for each campaign which is not right because the "$" sign means USD but it's actually the sum of two different currencies.In Klaviyo, when the "Placed order" WooCommerce event occurs, Klaviyo is capturing two different currencies on events (as per geos). Klaviyo is not performing any currency conversion, nor does it convert currencies when displaying the total "Revenue" of the campaigns.This leads me to a que
