Google Analytics Reporting More Revenue Than Klaviyo

Hi everyone, I just began to experience the following: Google analytics is attributing more revenue to a Klaviyo email campaign than Klaviyo. My email campaigns have recently been getting clipped.Are the two issues related? Google Analytics should NEVER attribute more conversions and revenue than Klaviyo to email campaigns given how each platform attributes success.What could be the culprit?

Google Analytics claiming Klaviyo Acquisition Channel as (Other) instead of Email?

We’ve been working on tracking and UTMs for some time, but no matter what we do, Google Analytics is considering all Klaviyo traffic as (Other) instead of Email. And yes, we have medium set to “email” and we always have. Is there a setting we’re missing somewhere? Has anyone else had this problem?

How to track if someone clicked a phone number link?

I’m using phone number link with my phone numbers in the email. So that users can easily click and dial from smart phones. However, I don’t see any data on how many people have clicked the phone number link. Historically, I was seeing 30%-40% of clicks happening on phone numbers in a different ESP.I know Klaviyo is known for data and this is a crucial piece of data for us.Please let me know how to check it.

Average Days Between Orders That Contain Certain Product Types

Owned data mavericks! 👋 Got a brain buster for ya.Data PointI am trying to determine the average time spent between orders that contain a certain product type. (Not average amount of days between all orders, as outlined below.) ContextFor context, I would like to use this data point as a trigger for a flow with the CTA of generating repeat purchases of a specific product type. ExampleFor example, let’s say a client’s main product is desks.→ Client also sells desk accessories s/a lamps, drawer organizers, etc.→ Most customer’s initial purchase contains a desk, but customers place orders of desk accessories that do not contain a desk in between purchasing another desk. (Say that 5 times fast!)Example Customer: Days Between Orders Order No. Order Contains 0 1 Desk 32 2 Accessories 67 3 Accessories 120 4 Accessories 365 5 Desk  → On an individual profile level, it’s easy to determine the days between orders that contain a desk, this example would be 365

Started checkout and active on site metrics dont seem to work?

Hi, Just trying out klaviyo for the first time. Ive followed the integration steps and tried to test with add to cart (https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005255808-How-to-Integrate-with-WooCommerce). Nothing shows up for add to cart or for active on site, BUT.. Are these features only applicable to websites where you have a customer login? You dont have to log in on our website, so does this mean these features cant apply to us? I assume its not like klaviyo can pick up any new email, and that the email has to be in some sort of database in order for these triggers to fire. Am I on the right lines? If thats not the case, well then I cant figure out why these arent working, because Ive followed the troubleshooting tips etc and just cant get them to work.  Thanks! Otis

Can't add one of the CNAME records because A record already uses the host name

Hi everyone, I’m trying to verify a dedicated sending domain. I created the subdomain “email.website.com” In order to get the dedicated sending domain verified, I need to add a CNAME that uses “email” as the hostname. When I go to create this in the DNS manager, I get the error that an A record already exists using “email” as the host name, and that I may not mix CNAME records with other records for the same name.Has anyone else run into this problem before? If so, is there a way around it? I’m using cPanel and Hostgator Thanks!

Gmail addresses not receiving campaign emails, yet analytics says they were delivered

Hello!I just sent my first campaign to my subscriber list, but where only non-gmail recipients are receiving my emails. Yet it says all were delivered.I am just starting out with Klaviyo and entered my small list manually. Myself being one of them, who did not receive it.Does anyone have advise for this issue?

Using Shopify Flow to Send Tracking Data to Klaviyo Metric

Hey guys, I’m trying to use Shopify Flow with Klaviyo to accomplish the following:If order is fulfilled & shipping carrier = XXXXX, then send email to customer with special instructionsI have a Shopify Flow configured to look to see if a carrier = XXXX then action = Klaviyo Track Event itemWithin the track even item, I’m trying to pass the tracking number parameter into Klaviyo, and here is where I’m stuck. Since an order can have multiple items, and each item may be shipped with a different carrier, I can’t just pull the fulfillment.tracking_number or the fulfillment.tracking_company parameters and send it to Klaviyo. When I try to reach out Shopify or Klaviyo for help, I just constantly get bounced back and forth between the two companies. It is VERY frustrating so here I am asking the guru’s of the world for help! I am not a programmer, but I am a tinkerer. I know enough to be dangerous but not enough to do anything significant with the knowledge I have :) Any guidance would be

SMTP sending domain

Hi Klaviyo team We’re setting up a DNS to use Klaviyo however our technical team has responded with the below information:As per IS policy of our company, we cannot go with send grid option. To support you in this situation the best we can do is to whitelist your domain for 2 weeks to send the emails in the meanwhile contact with tool owner/domain owner to fix DMARC issue. Kindly share the domain which you want to use to send email. We need your help to proceed with fixing the issue. Thanks,Yousef

"Added to Cart" isn't showing in analytics

 Hey there!  So like many others, I also have the problem that "Added to Cart" is not showing up in my Analytics.  Our Shopify site’s add to cart button code is here:The code that I have inserted into product.liquid is here: The code that. What are the different Client Types in the Analytics Dashboard?

Client Types are classifications that define the channel through which customers reach your site. A Client Type is different from Client Name, which is the exact browser a profile used (i.e. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.).In the Analytics Dashboard, you can choose to produce cards that sort customer data by Client Type to monitor this over time. These client types are defined as:Browser Browser refers to individuals who open your email in a web browser tab. Mobile Browser Mobile Browser details the amount of users who open your email in a mobile browser. Other Other refers to those who open your email via embedded browsers in obscure mobile & desktop apps. None None means that these users cannot be identified. Email Client Email Client refers to profiles that open an email using an email app, such as Outlook. Library Library refers to those who open your email using “headless browsers,” i.e. browsers without a UI, or request-generating libraries used by backend servers.

Email changes its formatting when shared with someone else

Hello @Mailbox Manny ,I have created email in klaviyo using the drag and drop builder. The email looks perfect when shared the preview from klaviyo, but I forward the same email to someone else, it looses all of its formatting. I am not sure any such thing should happen. Can you help with that issue? Also, can you let me know why does that happen? Thanks:)

Revenue missing from flows (and all analytics)

Hi,During a review meeting today, my client did a screen share so we could work through some edits to the welcome flow. Her view looked very different than mine - hers includes revenue and my view doesn’t (even though I have admin access). Here’s an example of one of the email’s analytics. Exporting Klaviyo Data for Analytics

Hello,I am fairly new to Klaviyo and was hoping to get some help with Klaviyo data that is captured in the tables. Is there a way to capture the click-to-action (CTA) data in one of the tables as a column? The idea is to track how many users clicked on the links/URLs in an email campaign. Also, is there a table that contains the actual email text (I know that it is stored within a bunch of HTML tags) to determine how many characters/words an email is?If these data elements don’t already exist, is it possible to access those through an API?Thanks,Gautham

Creating a custom analytics event for 'pre-order' button

Hey guys! This is a (potentially) weird one. As many of you may know, you can (quite easily) set up a much more detailed abandoned cart flow by adding the custom ‘addtocart’ event into your product.liquid code on the Shopify back-end, like this article outlines. I’d like to do exactly that, but for my ‘pre-order’ button as well. About 90% of our stock is continually sold out and on pre-order for now, so this would be huge for us! When I reached out to Klaviyo support, they were great as always, but also offered me a solution that seemed far too convoluted to be the path of least resistance here. Is there any way to do basically the same thing I did with the addtocart snippet, ie: add some lines of code into the product.liquid, pull the details from inspecting the ‘pre-order’ button on my site, and then have that send as a custom ‘pre-order’ event? Or do I really have to do this whole new scary world of REST API’s and Postman and all this absolutely bewildering (to my simple mind) stuff

Why our recipients receive this error?

HelloI’ve recently migrated to Klaviyo from other ESP. I haven’t sent any campaigns yet, only the core flows. But the emails are landing in the spam folder, and the recipients are receiving this error. What could possibly be the issue?  Be careful with this message.
