My client wants to create a list of people who want to opt out of our Mother’s Day promotions because 2020 was not a good year for aging parents. From this list they want to offer a separate sale the weekend of Mother’s Day. What I am not sure of is how to build the pop up or whatever to get people to put in their name and email without it becoming a nightmare. Should I do it as a preference connected to the list? If so, exactly how do I link to it in the mailer itself? Sorry if I sound dumb, I have spent two days trying to figure this out and I am perplexed.
Hi Community,I’m struggling with custom Properties. Maybe it’s to obvious to find? Would be nice if someone can give me an idea.Situation: We use Shopify for 4 months and Klaviyo Integration since couple of days.I want Klaviyo to add the customers first purchase date as profile property enrichment. This works like a charm for contacts who placed orders after Klaviyo was integrated into shopify. I want to add that custom profile property to all Klaviyo profiles that we collected before the Klaviyo integration and here i’m stuck. I don’t know how to specify the contacts, nor how to get the date and write it to the profile.Any help appreciated.Thanks in advance.
First post :DI have looked around in the help docs but couldn’t find any details on this… Is it possible to add a blacklist of domains we don’t want to accept subscribers from? I think it would be a very cool feature to avoid spam traps, scrappers (like Milled) and others.Thanks in advance!
Hi, I would like to add a custom field in the profile of each customer that purchase.For example, if he buys a top then categorize this customer with a custom field that says "top".If he buys a legging, then categorize this customer with a custom field that classify as come from “legging” colecction. Same for sizes. If he buys a XS, then a custom field that categorize this customer with a custom field that says XS. I use shopify plus.
Hello,I had the article about Lists & Segments several times but still don’t understand how segments work. Can someone help me with the following questions?My sign up form has two options: Boys and Girls. Depending on what people select, their profile goes to the corresponding segment (Boys, Girls). Is this correct? There is also a Newsletter list which I never understand where the profiles come from. How do profiles get added to this list? Will there be duplicate profiles? For example, is it possible for someone to be in both a segment and list? I have existing subscriber list from Mailchimp that needs to be added. It looks like I can only add them to the newsletter list not segments. Why?Thanks!
Hi all, I have this situation where a user is clicking links in the emails I’ve sent, viewing products via those links, etc…But Klaviyo is not registering that these emails have been opened. I only happened to notice this when I was checking out a profile that I was going to suppress due to engagement. Thanks in advance for any help or clarification! :)
Every few months I get hit with 20 - 30 new profiles All from Mark Mustermann with an email of fake(insert zipcode here) @fakemail.com Is there a way to mass delete them or maybe a way to prevent that name from ending up on the list or maybe anything with fakemail.com addresses?
Hello,I run a WooCommerce store that specializes in one-of-a-kind products. We have 100+ different product categories.I would like to do the following:Insert a Klaviyo signup form at the bottom of each WooCommerce product category page, and tell the customer “Sign up to get notified when we add new products to the is category”. When a customer uses this form, Klaviyo knows which product category page they expressed interest in. Each time we upload a batch of new products, have the ability to manually create a new campaign in Klaviyo and send it to the above customers that expressed interest in this product category. Give customers the ability to modify the categories that they want to be notified about via checkboxes on the Klaviyo manage preferences page. I’m unsure of the best way to accomplish this. I ask for only email addresses from my website visitors when it comes to subscribing to my website’s newsletters.But inside flows I want to set a criteria that the emails should go to those people who are not from Australia and NewZealand. Can Klaviyo find out the country of my subscribers even without asking so that I can remove them inside flows?
Maybe it’s the holidays or maybe you have a big product launch coming up! Either way, this is a use case where you’ll likely need to target multiple lists and segments with the same email. Klaviyo will not send the email more than once. Your campaign will know that is someone on more than one of the lists/segments included, and ensure that they only get the email one time! To include multiple lists or segments within the same campaign, use the Send to dropdown under the Recipients section of the campaign builder and select your audiences.Pro tip - you can search for your lists or segments by typing in their names or scroll through the dropdown until you find the ones you’re looking to target. Hi, My first post here on the community forum. I’m wanting to understand what I need to do to structure a button on a Klaviyo email put the contact clicking on the button onto a new list.What I’m trying to do is make it on an email where a contact can click on the button if they want to receive another flow that contains a certain educational sequence that we offer.However, I don’t see where I can configure the button (on the flow email editor) to either place a tag (which I could use to initiate the new flow) or put the contact on the list for the other flow.A developer told me it was possible by having a custom property be added to the url of the link that the button clicks to.Any ideas how I might structure this?Thanks!Will
Hi there. Using the Mailchimp integration, is there a way to import a list from Mailchimp into an existing Klaviyo list? I’m trying to maintain a single list, and don’t want to deal with merging a new list into our main list.I tried unchecking the “Create Klaviyo lists from Mailchimp lists” checkbox in integration settings, but doesn’t seem to work. Probably this feature was for intended for something else. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, –oo
Contact Form 7 and Klaviyo - How do I tag subscribers that fill out a form to understand which form they came from?
Hello, I have recently migrated from Mailchimp and I use contact form 7 on wordpress. I was using Chimpmatic that allowed me to add tags so each subscriber who downloaded a piece of content would be added as a tag in Mailchimp. For example, if they downloaded an ebook for home and garden, they would be tagged as home and garden when downloading the form through Chimpmatic which would then show in Mailchimp. My question is how do I replicate this process in Klaviyo? Do I have to create a new list for each content download? Is it a segment? I have downloaded the integration Sitemap Pro for Klaviyo which only gives me the option for choosing a list for each contact form 7 in Wordpress. My concern is if each content download has to be an individual list, we are going to end up with lots of lists. Does anybody have a better way of showing the source of where of my subscribers are coming from? Cheers,Molly
HI everyone, I cant figure out how to manage new emails not ending up where I want them to. Buyers of products ends up in profiles where I can not do anything with them, or can I? Created a list for new emails to drop in and a exit intent popup and noticed that some emails still ends up in profiles rather than the list… how can that be if the setting is made to push them to the list? How to transfer all emails from profiles to a list for further campaigns?Example:as you can see there should be 15 people in the list already but there are only 5 and all of them are buyers, not just those who entered email in popup. Hi all,I want to do some affiliate marketing with Clickbank (CB) but I noticed that they have a suppression list consisting of 3000+ email domains that CB affiliates are not supposed to email to.I tried to upload this suppression list to Klaviyo as a list but since it is a list consisting of only domains and not email addresses, Klaviyo is unable to import the list.I reached out to their helpdesk but was told there’s only 2 ways:To create a segment and choose ‘Properties about someone’, ‘Email’ ‘doesn’t contain’ ‘@domain-name.com OR To export my email list to CSV, filter out the list of restricted email domains and upload it back to my Klaviyo as a separate list from my main list.The problem with method 1 is that I will have to do it 3000 times because CB has a list of 3000+ domains names on the suppression list. It will take me ages to do this.The problem with method 2 is that my main list is growing every day as I’m running a lead generation campaign. And if I use this
1. Since users can't be tagged when you fill the sign up form. How do you recommend us to segment new sign ups who sign up through Klaviyo form?We tried to create a list for one form but we don't prefer that because we don't want to have too many lists. 2. For users who sign up through the form of shopify theme.- will they be tagged when they are added to the list? how will we know those are from the theme form?3. Similarly, how will we know which sign up users join through other referral app? (i.e. automizely)
