Hello, I have a problem with the subscription sign up area on my website. I would like all of the subscribers to be added to my klaviyo “Newsletter” list so that my welcome series can be triggered. When a new subscriber signs up, they are added to the “email subscribers” list with the tag “newsletter” in shopfiy, but it does not get added to any list on Klaviyo. I have set up Klaviyo.js and it says it’s successfully installed on the site In the integrations tab, I have selected “Newsletter” for the list for the subscribers who accept marketing through Shopify. I don’t have “double opt in” selectedI would appreciate any suggestions! Thanks
Hi, I’m a new user and for some reason my lists and segments are not updating automatically. For my segments, I have to update manually for it to reflect the right number of subscribers. I only have 1 list named “All Subscribers on Shopify” but it currently has 0 members. I created a test segment to capture everyone on my profile and it updates to the correct number of members but I have to do it manually. The list; however, just doesn’t seem to capture the members in the profile. I also tried it with a dummy email account. I subscribed using shopify’s newsletter form and the form I created in Klaviyo and for both forms, the list doesn’t seem to capture it. I’ve also turned double opt in off and on for both shopify and Klaviyo. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,
I am looking to delete all of the profiles in my account. I used the profile maintenance tool (https://www.klaviyo.com/account#maintenance-tab) to delete subscribers from my existing Lists, but I still have hundreds of profiles listed under https://www.klaviyo.com/people. All of my lists and segments show 0 in the columns, but my account shows me over the profile limit. I’d like to delete them to go back under the limit.
Hi!I’m trying to figure out how to export a list from Klaviyo into Shopify in order to tag the customers. I know I can do it the reverse way into Klaviyo. Is it possible to do it in reverse? For example, I’m trying to update all the profiles in my Shopify customer list with the custom field from a klaviyo segment: Tag: Club level = MemberIf I do this as a csv and import it into Shopify it just makes new customers without updating the current ones. Thanks,Michael
I just accidentally deleted an important list or segment (not sure which type it was) and now my flow isn’t going to work. I created the list/segment a while back and don’t remember how to set it up.It’s for people that opt in to my store footer and or are coming from Etsy for a coupon code. Is there a way to recover it or recreate it? Thanks!
Hi! We’d love to have a quick question or two for those who unsubscribe from our email list(s). Just something to help us learn about why they unsubscribed. I’ve searched all over and I can’t figure out how to do this.Does anyone know if it’s possible to have an automated survey appear after someone unsubscribes?
Hi, I am wondering what’s the best practices to deal with duplicated profiles. I have noticed that some customers have two or more profiles with different emails. I have combined those who obviously have changed the email address - firstly used one, and now the other. But what to do with those that are subscribed to newsletter with one email and when purchasing are using the different one? Should I merge these profiles? Or just do nothing and don’t waste my time?
If you’re importing a list into Klaviyo, proper formatting is very important. I wanted to share some of the most common issues with importing lists and some troubleshooting tips on how to fix them. Check that:Your file is a .csv (comma-separated values) file. If you’re in Europe, your spreadsheet software may export .csv files using semi-colons “;” not commas “,”. You can change this by going to your devices regional settings > advanced settings and changed the symbol used to separate lists. The first row contains column headers The email column header is properly named Name the column either “Email” or “Email Address” You do not have duplicate headers (this includes blank headers!) If you are receiving an error message about duplicate headers in your sheet and you double-checked that all your columns have unique names, delete any blank columns from your sheet and try uploading again. The file size is 50 MB or fewer Every row has an email address associated with it No duplicate
Hello People,I have found this post: The recommendation here is to run multiple stores + Klaviyo accounts… Shopify Markets is in Beta now, the benefit is to sell to multiple markets from one store. Therefore, the recommendation seems to be a bit outdated, since the benefit of Shopify Markets is to sell internationally from one single store. As far as I understood, it is more ore less the same technology and options Shopify offers today but bundled differently. We currently run our store in EN but are about to add DE as a second language. Customer marketing+forms and so on has to be bilingual too. Is there a Best Practice approach how to run (lists, flows, forms, content, ...) in multiple languages without unnecessary overhead? Thanks!
I am trying to create a segment of users who have a specific tag on their order. I am using the shopify app “Order Tagger” to tag my orders, and I would like to create segments with these tags. See below my attempt at creating this list. When I create this sement, there is only one user in the list. I have hundred of users that have this specific tag. Here is is screen shot of a few of these users that have these tags.
I want to be able to let my site visitors choose their location/country from a drop-down list when they signup but at the minute I have to create a manual list and enter all 190+ countries as options. You have a drop-down list with country under “Phone”, couldn’t you just take that exact piece of code, remove the extension information, and use that as a drop-down list for “Country”? It would save a huge amount of time, especially as you cannot clone a Signup Form across different lists, meaning you have to enter the same 190+ countries every time you create a form for a new List.
We have a very good customer who’s email has been flagged as suspicious email so has continued to be skipped since March. How do I clear the “suspicious email” tag on her profile?? She isn’t receiving anything from us including abandoned cart and thank you emails.
Hello, I have set up pop-ups on my Shopify store and have noticed that customers are not going to the list which I have specified - as can be seen the image below - I have set up the pop-up sign ups to go to the “Ordrs” list, however, new sign-ups just go to the Potential Purchasers list. Why is this?
Hi, I would like to add a custom field in the profile of each customer that purchase. For example, if he buys a top then categorize this customer with a custom field that says "top".If he buys a legging, then categorize this customer with a custom field that classify as come from “legging” colecction. Same for sizes. If he buys a XS, then a custom field that categorize this customer with a custom field that says XS. I use shopify plus.
I had a subscriber’s email address hard bounce. Since I had been in contact with this person via emails in the past, I compared the email address from my inbox to the one in her Klaviyo profile and noticed it was misspelled. (She likely misspelled it when placing an order and didn’t realize)I’m trying to update her email address in Klaviyo under “Contact” by hitting “edit”, entering the corrected email address, selecting “update profile”.But the profile never updates and the misspelled version of her email address is still present. Is there another way to go about editing the email address in a person’s profile?
There are a couple of questions what the client is asking. Can we edit the default Klaviyo properties? E.g the client wants to rename “campaign” as “initial source campaign”? I know, there is a way to add custom properties and I can map these through exporting/importing profiles, but how about new users cum customers. Do I have to always import/export or we can do some changes in the api and map automatically? My site is in shopify. An early response and solution will be appreciated.
Hello, We’re developing a Klaviyo Integration where we create add Profiles to a Klaviyo list, with custom properties. These custom properties are then intended to be used in Klaviyo flows. The brands we are working with are expected to create the Flows in advance of us pushing in the first Profile, but we have a catch-22, as the Property does not exist in the Klaviyo account till we push in that first user.So my question in, how do we create a new Property in Klaviyo via the API?It seems we could achieve this by creating, then deleting a Klaviyo Profile for the purpose of having the Custom Property pushed in, but surely there’s a better way?
Hi all, I seem to of got myself in a little bit of a mess and just seem to be going round in circles. Im so confused. Here are some details: I have a sign up pop up I have an embeded form on my website. When I signed up to Klaviyo I made a list lets call it ‘List A’On this list I have 217 people I have created a segment for all those who accept marketing using: Subscribed to List at least onceover all time OR Accepts Marketing is trueThis list now has 295 members?? - how can that be? I have today added a check box to my pop up form that is accepting marking and sourced that to accepts marketing: true. Do my people who subscribe from my pop up and subscription page go straight to my ‘List A’? As you can tell I really have got myself in a state over it. Thanks
