Hi there,I’m trying to import a CSV file and when I do, I get mismatched data all over. So I have gone and review the data type, and tried a different one with no avail. I won’t import and it doesn’t matter the data type I choose. Anyone has an answer to fix this? Thank you, Francisnelli
Hello, I am a shopify store owner currently using mailchimp and migrating over to Klavyio. I have a sign up embed and pop up on my website which offers 10% off to new subscribers. I would like people who sign up via these forms to enter my welcome series flow which gives them 10% off and be added to my newsletter list. However, I don’t want people who opt-in to the newsletter at checkout to trigger this welcome flow. Instead I will want them to trigger a post-purchase flow. I do want both sets of people (whether they signed up for 10% or they opted-in at checkout) to be added to my ‘all newsletter’ list. Please can someone help by explaining to me how to do this? Many thanks in advance, Claire
I had a subscriber’s email address hard bounce. Since I had been in contact with this person via emails in the past, I compared the email address from my inbox to the one in her Klaviyo profile and noticed it was misspelled. (She likely misspelled it when placing an order and didn’t realize)I’m trying to update her email address in Klaviyo under “Contact” by hitting “edit”, entering the corrected email address, selecting “update profile”.But the profile never updates and the misspelled version of her email address is still present. Is there another way to go about editing the email address in a person’s profile?
Does anyone know why using the v2 api to retrieve a particular list return a “List not Found Error” but using the v1 api returns the list in question?Example Curls V2 curl does not workcurl --request GET \ --url 'https://a.klaviyo.com/api/v2/list/LIST_ID?api_key=PRIVATE_KEY' \ --header 'Accept: application/json'V1 curl workscurl --request GET \ --url 'https://a.klaviyo.com/api/v1/list/LIST_ID?api_key=PRIVATE_KEY' \ --header 'Accept: application/json'
I’m trying to understand if I can create segments based on a specific product/category tenure. Here are the example: has purchased a bike in the last 3 months (none regarding whether or not they purchased something else) or has purchased a bike between 3 and 12 months. Ideally, I’d like to keep it at a collection level (Shopify integration) rather than having to go down the SKU route.
I’m creating 2 different lead magnets. One is a pop up on my site that will offer a dollar amount off and the other will be a landing page (where the link will be posted on social or an ad) with an offer to our free resource library. The first emails for these welcome flows will differ as one will have a coupon code and the other will have a password to the resource library. Do I create 2 lists to trigger these flows or one list that is segmented to trigger each flow? If segmented, what qualifier would denote the trigger? What I don’t want is someone who opted in to the coupon to receive an email saying “here’s your password to our resource library” and vice versa. Could someone suggest the best way to set this up? Thanks.
Using segmenting, is it possible to build a segment that works off filtering part of the product name or SKU? (where product name CONTAINS “foo”) or (product name STARTS WITH “foo”). I can only see a filter for EQUALS in the segment filtering? Alternatively wildcards would work -are they available?
Hey!We have a 2022 collection launch today and I am wanting to create both a new segment for those who order our 2022 products, AND have a specified abandoned cart/ post purchase flow for those ordering these products. SO my thoughts were to create a new collection and add the relevant products, both in Klaviyo and Shopify. And the collection shows under catalogs in Klaviyo and products in Shopify. So my collection is ready and okay. However, when trying to segment based on ordering products where collections equals …. my newly created collection doesn't show up? So I can't segment.. Is there something I need to do? I created the collection early this morning so it has been many hours since it was created if that matters..
I’ve got a different types of email that gets sent out each week that are attached to a different mailing lists. Is there a way to have multiple unsubscribe list? For e.gCustomer 1 is in the list A and list B, customer 1 only wants to unsubscribe list A emails but keep list B emails. Thanks in advance!
Hey guys, I have an extremely weird issue with the Klaviyo integration on one of my Shopify stores - it simply won’t work. I have done this the exact same way for other stores before and also double and triple checked the following / tried these things: double opt-in is disabled on the Shopify level double opt-in is disabled on the Klaviyo list level collect subscribers (“Subscribe contacts who opt-in via Shopify, such as during checkout or with a Shopify footer form”) setting is enabled and configured correctly, tried pointing them to 2 different lists as well to make sure there’s nothing wrong with one of those either deleting the klaviyo app from shopify and setting up the integration again from scratch Is there something I am forgetting? The issue isn't even that the customers simply aren’t being added to the desired list, they are not even showing up under the “profiles” section in the Klaviyo. And help is greatly appreciated! Thanks so much in advance!Michael
Contact Form 7 and Klaviyo - How do I tag subscribers that fill out a form to understand which form they came from?
Hello, I have recently migrated from Mailchimp and I use contact form 7 on wordpress. I was using Chimpmatic that allowed me to add tags so each subscriber who downloaded a piece of content would be added as a tag in Mailchimp. For example, if they downloaded an ebook for home and garden, they would be tagged as home and garden when downloading the form through Chimpmatic which would then show in Mailchimp. My question is how do I replicate this process in Klaviyo? Do I have to create a new list for each content download? Is it a segment? I have downloaded the integration Sitemap Pro for Klaviyo which only gives me the option for choosing a list for each contact form 7 in Wordpress. My concern is if each content download has to be an individual list, we are going to end up with lots of lists. Does anybody have a better way of showing the source of where of my subscribers are coming from? Cheers,Molly
I am using my custom made flow for my users to download E-book from my store, I have created a Embedded form the is sent to the list and triggered by a flow in 1 min the only problem i am facing at the moment is that my gmail subscribers are not getting email whereas its working fine with outlook users. Hi all, I have a segment (not list) of 13K subscribers that I want to subsegment further by email “starts with”. I want to send to groups of ~500-600, so for the first batch, I started creating a segment “email starts with aa” or “email starts with ab” or “email starts with ac” all the way up to “email starts with am”. I feel like this is a very error prone way. What’s the shortcut / best practice? Thanks!!
I am new to Klaviyo and trying to be super careful. I need to import a list of people who have been subscribers for a long time (outside of Klaviyo). When I import them to my newsletter list will it trigger any kind of automated email? (These people have been subscribed for so long that they will be confused if they get a verification email or a welcome email). Thank you for reading this and for forgiving the novice nature of my question ;) :D Maryanne
Hi there,I’ve just run into an issue with segmenting by collections, one that I haven’t come across before. We’re integrated with Shopify and usually segment our audience by purchasing habits - so by collections/categories. However, I’ve noticed today that while all of our Shopify collections are listed as an option to filter by, there are also collections titled ‘collections:name’ which don’t exist in our own Shopify backend. After testing these, the ‘collection’ titles pull the incorrect data. Can anyone shed some light on what these extra collections are/why they exist? Thank you.
The easiest way to accomplish this is to use the update profile property action functionality using a flow. To start, create a flow triggered by someone being added to each list in your account. Once you have created the flow trigger, add in an Updated Profile Property action. You can create a profile property called List Membership and then assign a value of the list name. For more information on how to do this, head to this article on the Update Profile Property action.Your next step is to back-populate the flow. Choose the second option to schedule emails relative to when I hit the back-populate button. As long as you only add the update profile property action to your flow, no messages will send out because your flow does not contain any emails or SMS. Instead, this will send all of the customers in your list through the flow to add the custom property to their user profiles in Klaviyo. You then have two options to export these profiles and know what list they are a part of: You can
Is it possible to create a segment of people that are currently within a flow? For example, if I wanted to send a campaign email but exclude anyone who is currently in my welcome flow, is that possible? I know that smart sending is the way to avoid multiple emails within a time period, but ideally I would be able to exclude people based on being in a flow or not.
