It would be helpful to have a feature where I could create segments based on engagement for scheduled campaigns. When we run promos, I do my best not to email customers two days in a row. One simple way to do this is to exclude customers who opened one day’s email from the following day’s send.In order to do this efficiently, it seems like I have to wait for the email whose openers I’d like to exclude to start sending. It’s only then that I can select it from Klaviyo’s segmentation menu. This is true even if I make a segment with rules like “opened email once over all time where Campaign Name equals [previous day’s campaign].” If I manually enter the name of the campaign in question, the list size will show as 0. However, as soon as that email goes out and I select the Campaign Name from the dropdown menu, it will populate accurately. If I send promo emails 2 days in a row and I want to exclude people who opened the day 1 email from receiving day 2, I have to wait until day 1 has begun to
We are trying to pull a segment based on due dates (we are a parenting and birthing education program), but the segment is not pulling properly. We have someone’s due date as last year but is pulling when we set the segment as those who are due in 34 weeks. how do we fix?
Hi! I'm trying to figure out how I can make an export or a report for the unsubscribe reasons.I've already made a small survey when people opt-out. But I would like to have a list of reasons why people opt out. Does somebody know how to do this?
Hello,How do I create a auto list from the sign up form questions I’ve asked? Example:Customer sees Pop up. Questions: Who are you buying for: You, Child, Partner?I want to create list based on them answer these questions. I didn’t see a way to do this, but may have missed a step due to looking at it for so long. Thanks,
We collect potential subscribers to our newsletter via a ‘soft’ opt-in at check-out, ie, if they don’t check a particular box, they come through to Klaviyo and can be identified by their not being in either of our subscriber lists and having ‘subscribed is true’. I have created a segment to collect these, and can then create a corresponding list. How can I then ensure this list triggers a double opt-in sequence of emails? Many thanks.
Dear Guys, i hope you can help us with an extremely important issue as we are in the midst of an litigation with a prosecutor that now reached cease-and-desist declaration against us to avoid any further mails being send to him. The accusation in general contains the point that he a) reproached us that we send him an unwanted double opt in mail (which is impossible to proof how typed in a mail adress into one of our signup funnels) and b) that our double opt in mail contained promotional aspects that is against German law (which is not the cause). The whole claim is really fraudulent but the court declared the cease-and-desist declaration, that we are not allowed to send ANY mail to the customer anymore. As we could blacklist the mail address for sendouts through all our flows, Klaviyo claimed now that they are unable to avoid a sendout of a double opt in mail to the customer if his email address would be typed in in any given sign up form again. And this double opt in mail would then
Good Day Everyone, I recently completed a migration from ActiveCampaign to Klaviyo. Here’s the problem though: A few weeks before starting the migration I deleted the unsubscribed and bounced subscribers from ActiveCampaign. Then, I cleaned and verified the Master List and imported it to Klaviyo (this list contains all the active subscribers we had on ActiveCampaign...around 170’000 subscribers) What I noticed is that Shopify added new subscribers to the Klaviyo account (I suppose it also included these people who unsubscribed and extra profiles who are not active anymore) Question is: How can I delete ALL the profiles who are not included in the “Master List” (the master list is 170’000 subscribers and the total number of profiles is 230’000 subscribers...I need to delete 60’000 subscribers) Is there a particular procedure I can follow to make it happen? Thanks in advance.
I’m trying to remove globally suppressed profiles from a list automatically. I know how to do this manually and have done it recently, but I wanted to find out if there’s a way to do it through an automation or in any other way so that I don’t have to go in and do it myself. Thanks in advance!
Hello! This fall we migrated to a new website, and it was necessary for customers to re-activate their accounts with us. After they reactivated their accounts, we automatically applied the Shopify tag ‘accountenabled’ It would help me tremendously to be able to create segments for WHEN this tag was applied to a given group of folks. Have not had success figuring out how to do this-- or even if it’s possible. Very open to suggestion or clarifying questions. Many thanks!Becky
Hey Guys,Im struggling to create a segment for users who have abandoned their cart. Ive attached a screenshot to make things simpler.Essentially, I was able to create the segment with the first 4 users using the conditions you see below. For some reason I cannot figure out why the 5th entry is not being added to the segment. When I save it it only saves the first 4 entries. The conditions are exactly the same as the others, this user has started checked out on her profile so im really not sure why its not adding it. Any help would be great, thanks.
I'm looking to setup email marketing for a client and was wondering if there was a way to get people who have made accounts and purchases in the past to opt-in to marketing. I know I need their consent first, but would it be acceptable to just email them and ask if they want to receive marketing emails with an opt-in button? Or ask them to “update their account preferences” by giving an option to check a box in their account to sign up for marketing emails?
Hi everyone! In regards to users that abuse welcome forms and constantly keep entering using multiple different emails, is there a way to either identify, block or suppress further sign-ups from a specific IP? I’ve already identified 4 of their aliases via the codes they used but I want to double check my lists to see if they have any additional emails that have been recently submitted to gain more discount codes. Cheers, Theodore
I have 237 customers on Shopify, and 243 profiles on Klaviyo. Why don't klaviyo's profiles match my customers on Shopify? How can I see which ones are not on my Shopify customer list but are on Klaviyo profiles?I have removed customers from Shopify and from Klaviyo, but it seems to me that the list of Klaviyo profiles is not updated. Can you help me? Thanks in advance.Francesc
I’d like to be able to send CARE communications, which uses Legitimate Interest as opposed to consent, to my customers. In order to do so, I need to provide them with a way to unsubscribe from it (ideally in a separate way than Marketing). With previous CRM tool, I was able to have a CARE flag created for every orders and which was managed separately than the marketing flag. Is there a way to do this in Klaviyo?
Hello, We are trying create a List or Segment of profiles we have that aren’t on a List or in a Segment currently and haven’t Unsubscribed so we can clean them up. We created a Segment that was: If someone is/isn’t on a list, Person, Is Not, List AorIf someone is/isn’t on a list, Person, Is Not, List Betc. but it’s putting profiles on this List more than once. That’s before we mess with Unsubscribed or Suppressed profiles. What am I doing wrong?! Thanks!
How to pull a segment for only International subscribers only from an audience that contains United States?
Hello, I have an audience comprised of both national (U.S.) and international subscribers and I am trying to create a segment to only pull the international subscribers, however, when I use Properties about someone, “Country does not equal United States” and whatever other attribute that I need using the “and” operator, it still pulls United States subscribers. Is there another way to pull this?
Hi there!I am trying to figure out how to create automated segments based on our Bold V2 subscribers. I have followed the instructions for how to do the integration following the steps outlined here: https://support.boldcommerce.com/hc/en-us/articles/6740843522964. But after completing this step, I am still not seeing where/how I can create segments based on the webhooks/events discussed in the documentation. Please help! :)
I’m noticing that traffic has been significantly down due to the recent iOS14 changes for Facebook Ads. This of course makes a great case for Owned Media as Email & SMS are winning. However, the challenge in this is that email & sms list growth has always *partially* dependent on the success of a brand’s paid ads strategy (unless they were lucky enough to get traffic from organic social and other non-paid avenues). With Facebook Ads bringing less & less traffic in for brands, what are ways that “owned media” teams can help to further close the loop with list growth without having to be reliant on Facebook traffic? Contests & Sweeps are one way. Starting an open thread here on what other methods are out there.
