Why Clicked email tracked but the Open email event not tracked?
Hi all, I have this situation where a user is clicking links in the emails I’ve sent, viewing products via those links, etc…But Klaviyo is not registering that these emails have been opened. I only happened to notice this when I was checking out a profile that I was going to suppress due to engagement. Thanks in advance for any help or clarification! :)
Automatically add subscriber to list if Custom Property changes
To avoid having to create one single welcome flow that contains content in all the languages we offer, we’ve decided to create a single list for each language.Yes, we are going to create e.g. a welcome flow for each language. We have a Custom Property set with the language they get determined by which Country they’ve signed up from.In our Manage Preferences List we’ve added a step where they can change their language from A to B. But this ofc. doesn’t move the subscriber from List A to List B. If we use the Subscribe-form they are only able to subscribe for the list they already belong to - as it’s a sign-up form for that specific list. = we can change the Custom Property, but not add/move the subscriber to the right list→ Do any of you have any suggestions on how we could work around this? We’re trying to avoid using Hosted Pages.
What's the difference between Subscribe to List and Accepts Marketing?
Hi all, I seem to of got myself in a little bit of a mess and just seem to be going round in circles. Im so confused. Here are some details: I have a sign up pop up I have an embeded form on my website. When I signed up to Klaviyo I made a list lets call it ‘List A’On this list I have 217 people I have created a segment for all those who accept marketing using: Subscribed to List at least onceover all time OR Accepts Marketing is trueThis list now has 295 members?? - how can that be? I have today added a check box to my pop up form that is accepting marking and sourced that to accepts marketing: true. Do my people who subscribe from my pop up and subscription page go straight to my ‘List A’? As you can tell I really have got myself in a state over it. Thanks

I’m brand new to Klaviyo, so please bear with me.On my website, I want to have a sign-up form offering a 10% discount to anyone who signs up, and hopefully uses that discount to become a paying customer. How do I clear a suspicious tag on an email so it stops skipping
We have a very good customer who’s email has been flagged as suspicious email so has continued to be skipped since March. How do I clear the “suspicious email” tag on her profile?? She isn’t receiving anything from us including abandoned cart and thank you emails.
Segmentation when trigger is OPEN EMAIL with specific Subject + flow not start
Hi guys.I’m trying to create a scratch flow when an account enter in my custom segmentation.The definition of segmentation is this:Now, when I send a personalized email and this accounts open the email for some happens the segmentation, for more accounts no.Also, for accounts featured in my segmentation, they will not be present in the flow and therefore no type of flow will start. Why does this happen? Klaviyo indicates that the segmentation fills up based on the actions performed by the accounts.In this case the accounts appear to perform that action.
Can't edit Email Confirmation (Double-Opt-In)

Import of Clickbank's Suppression List
Hi all,I want to do some affiliate marketing with Clickbank (CB) but I noticed that they have a suppression list consisting of 3000+ email domains that CB affiliates are not supposed to email to.I tried to upload this suppression list to Klaviyo as a list but since it is a list consisting of only domains and not email addresses, Klaviyo is unable to import the list.I reached out to their helpdesk but was told there’s only 2 ways:To create a segment and choose ‘Properties about someone’, ‘Email’ ‘doesn’t contain’ ‘@domain-name.com OR To export my email list to CSV, filter out the list of restricted email domains and upload it back to my Klaviyo as a separate list from my main list.The problem with method 1 is that I will have to do it 3000 times because CB has a list of 3000+ domains names on the suppression list. Can Klaviyo find out the country of my newsletter subscribers?
I ask for only email addresses from my website visitors when it comes to subscribing to my website’s newsletters.But inside flows I want to set a criteria that the emails should go to those people who are not from Australia and NewZealand. Can Klaviyo find out the country of my subscribers even without asking so that I can remove them inside flows?
Creating new list based on a question from newsletter?
Hello everyone, Im wanting to create a new segment of customers that would be interested in submitting feedback for my store and products. I want to ask everyone if they’d be willing to get emailed polls once in a while. I basically want to ask them stuff like “what size shirt do you wear” and send out an email to them with a link to an advanced poll. Im just not sure my newsletter is the right place to put these polls as people might think its spam. I’d be asking in my newsletter if they would mind being added to a new segment. Hopefully this makes sense.
How to find the source of a list or segment
*newbie alert* apologies if this is basic 101.Somebody (from Klaviyo) created an everybody list for us on our account when we were setting up our account. I have a feeling it was to make sure all suppressed addresses were captured however I’d like to see the ‘rules’ or definitions on how this list comes together so that I can ensure that our Shopify people are being feed into this ‘everybody’ list, but I cannot seem to find any information on how those names get on the list.
How do you update the fields of historic event data that was uploaded?
Hi,I have successfully uploaded over 5 years of historical order data, which worked great, but I now realize there are some additional fields I should have included in the CSV files I uploaded. If I just re-upload all the same CSV files with the new columns of values included will this append the extra field values to the existing orders in Klaviyo, as it will have the same Order ID/Event ID in the second upload? Bulk Delete Profiles? (Deleted all from lists, but profiles still exist)
I am looking to delete all of the profiles in my account. I used the profile maintenance tool (https://www.klaviyo.com/account#maintenance-tab) to delete subscribers from my existing Lists, but I still have hundreds of profiles listed under https://www.klaviyo.com/people. All of my lists and segments show 0 in the columns, but my account shows me over the profile limit. I’d like to delete them to go back under the limit.
Best approach for cleaning list?
Hi There!I want to clean my list, but I don’t know which one is the best approach.First, I have created a segment of the people that didn’t open any of my e-mails in the last 6 months, in which I put the tag “limbo”.Then, I created another segment with the same structure, but now within the last 45 days (with the same tag). For this segment, I created a flow to send two emails. If the person doesn’t open, I want to put a “Limbo” tag on her. If she opens any of them, I want her to remain active.I don’t want to “suppress” these profiles, because I want to try some re-engagement in the future.So, what is the best way to segment these “inactive” profiles?Should I just exclude the “people that didn’t open any email in the last 45 days” from my campaigns? If she opens any one of the two emails, Will she be removed from that list?Should I create a flow and if she doesn't open anything, I create a “property” Limbo? How do you search for all users at a domain like @mycompany.com or @mcdonalds.com?
In the “search for someone” box at the top of every page how to we search for all profiles that are at a domain like @mycompany.com or @mcdonalds.com? We can only search by email handle, like johnsmith and janesmith. We don’t seem able to search by the domain. So if one of our profiles is email@example.com we can only find that profile by searching for johnsmith (or a fragment of that). We can’t find it by @mycompay.com. Seems weird. We often want to find all profiles for specific domain names.
List not updating
Hi, I’m a new user and for some reason my lists and segments are not updating automatically. For my segments, I have to update manually for it to reflect the right number of subscribers. I only have 1 list named “All Subscribers on Shopify” but it currently has 0 members. I created a test segment to capture everyone on my profile and it updates to the correct number of members but I have to do it manually. The list; however, just doesn’t seem to capture the members in the profile. I also tried it with a dummy email account. I subscribed using shopify’s newsletter form and the form I created in Klaviyo and for both forms, the list doesn’t seem to capture it. I’ve also turned double opt in off and on for both shopify and Klaviyo. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,
accidentally re-activated suppressed profiles
Alright…. Hello…So here’s the issue I was attempting some list cleanup. Simple ordinary stuff yeah Well anyways, I was deleting profiles in the Suppressed List and what I didn’t find out until I was done shocked me….. All those profiles I deleted...actually RESUBSCRIBED the unsubscribed suppressed profiles….. essentially all of the unsubscribed profiles are now re-subscribed….. Any solutions?
Add parameters to list signup form
Hi there! I’m creating a signup form for a list in Klaviyo. Is there a way to add custom parameters to the signup so that I can segment my list later on based on those parameters? As an example, if part of my signup form includes mobile device type (e.g. iPhone, Android) can I pass that value in when the user signs up and then later only text/email users on a list who have iPhones? How Can You Add People to a specific list ?
Hello, so from my understanding, klaviyo uses shopify’s built in email list to manage the people you are going to email. But say I want to run a special promotion with specific people, and if I add them to a list, won’t they just get bundled together with all the other emails ? Is there a way to tell klaviyo to only email specific people that opted in from a specific page only ? and have a flow based on that ?
