Hello,It seems likely that there's a typo or error in one of your tags or variables.This issue arises occasionally, and resolving it typically involves a meticulous review of each tag and variable. Unfortunately, Klaviyo doesn't pinpoint the problematic element directly.If you're dealing with an email containing numerous tags and variables, here's a systematic approach you might find useful:Start by opening a new email template. Then, methodically copy and paste each tag and variable from your original confirmation email into this new template. After adding each one, use the preview function to test it. This way, you'll sequentially isolate each element. Eventually, you'll identify the one that's causing the issue, allowing you to pinpoint and rectify the underlying problem.I hope this strategy proves helpful!PS Is there any chance you have Show/Hide Logic or Content Repeat, that could also possibly cause a problem. How do you override background transparency in dynamic sections?

I see!What I do to avoid overcomplicating the emails I create, is to have the Hero Title and the CTA as text blocks, or PNGs. That way, the dark mode is not only in the dynamic block but in the whole Section 1.Give it a go! The lovely blue that you have in the header and Section 2, might complement well the Gmail’s default dark mode appearance.Now, if you really need it to be white in dark mode, how about trying to force it through HTML?I haven’t done this specific edit myself, so I’m not familiar with this process, but you could try it and let the community know. Here are the steps:Save the email as a template. Go to Templates and then the three dots, Export Email In your provided HTML code, you should add the following CSS within the <style> tags: <style>     /* Existing styles... */    /* Force white background in dark mode */     @media (prefers-color-scheme: dark) {         .force-white-background-in-dark-mode {             background-color: white !important;

Hi Codi,There’s the first thing I’d check:In which list have you been subscribed? Is it the Newsletter one? Whatever list that is, enter it, then Settings > Consent Review the settings for Double or Single sign in. Let me know if that helped,Stam

Hello Braum,Indeed, you've got it spot on! 😁 The system is designed to hold off until the actual birthday date.I've observed that this feature is a fixed element in the setup, which essentially means there's limited flexibility in altering its function. However, I must say, your workflow appears quite effective as it stands! A thought just crossed my mind: What if we consider dispatching the initial email a bit earlier? For instance, if we're confident that shipping takes about 4 days, perhaps sending the first email around a week in advance could be beneficial. This approach would offer a cushion of 1-2 days for the recipient, plus the shipping time, ensuring that the products arrive well before the special day. I hope this suggestion adds value to your plan!Best regards,

How to Optimize Email For Dark Mode!

Hi @Riffat Junaid,Here are some possible solutions that I can think of:Use Dark mode specific CSS (not all email clients support these queries)Inline Styles with important tag (inline styles with the !important tag can help override the email client's default dark mode settings)Transparent PNGs for Buttons instead of Button blocks If the color change is too disruptive, consider designing the email with less reliance on large areas of maroon, focusing more on white or light backgrounds with maroon used more sparingly. ☝️ Educate and offer alternatives: I’ve seen many brands, like Patagonia’s email, being flexible with how emails turn to dark mode. How about you reconsider the persistence of the maroon colour?Another option would be to maybe stick to the most important brand elements (like CTAs and PNG images) and let the rest visually appealing but not brand aligned?Hope that helps,

In that case, you could try a conditional split:Historic Customer Lifetime Value is at least 500More infromation In general, I recommend keeping your logic straightforward and simple. If you return later with the aim of optimising it, you might find it challenging if the logic is too complex and there isn't sufficient data available for informed decision-making. 🙌

Profiles with Source -50

Hey @sally,After further investigation, if a profile took any of these below actions, they could be synced with the -50 source value.    • If the profile placed an order through your website,• If a customer was tracked via a Shopify form,• If a customer started checkout, and ticked the checkbox on the checkout page for consenting to marketing - whether they opted in or not,• If a customer submitted a Klaviyo form on Shopify that had no $source value assigned to it, they may come across with a value of -50 as well in some cases, or they may just have a blank source value. That could be a quiz, or any other app that collects emails! How about you create a segment like this: And review the profiles in it:1. Where do they sign up? Is it at Checkout? Or after they land on your website?2. Do they receive the Welcome emails? Let me know if that helps,🚨🚨🚨 Please do not move to multiple lists, as it’ll probably make your life more complicated. Stick to one main list please :)

trigger an abandoned cart flow

Hi,I also have a custom Added To Cart event to trigger a flow!If you’d like to send a campaign to people who Added to cart, then you need first to create a segment of this audience. If you want to create a flow instead, I’d suggest first you check whether you custom metric is tracking properly.To do that, head over to the Analytics > Metrics tab, then the name of your custom Added To Cart, and check whether the events are coming in.Example If your custom Added To Cart works, then in Flows > Create from Scratch, you can create a flow that will be triggered when someone enters your custom Added To Cart event.Hope that helps,

Profiles with Source -50

Hi Sally,Here is the Source value reference for all $source numbers.It seems that -50 for the property $source equals Shopify.It’d be great to understand where this -50 is being implemented. Is it during the checkout process, or perhaps through a different sign-up mechanism, separate from your usual pop-up, like the footer?Additionally, I have a couple of queries regarding your subscriber management:Do you consolidate all subscribers into a single list (default called Newsletter), or do you maintain multiple lists segmented by different sign-up forms? Is there a filtering system in place that excludes customers who have completed a purchase from receiving the Welcome flow? My concern is that if the -50 tag is applied post-consent in the Checkout process, those customers might not be the intended recipients of the Welcome flow.:)

Hi Artium, how about something like this?  Generally, I try not keep the flows simple, so I’m not very familiar how that would work, but I’d give it a go and track in real time how it goes. Hope that helps,

For sender Email Address

Hi Rony, Klaviyo is moving towards a policy where using a professional email address (like name@yourcompany.com) is required for sending emails, rather than using personal or generic email addresses (like name@gmail.com). Is there any chance you’re currently sending emails from a personal email address?To avoid any problems in the near future, please head over to the Organisation tab and review all your settings:https://www.klaviyo.com/settings/account/organizationIn short:Default sender email address: Use a branded email to send emails (example: Niki@hotdogs.com) Default sender name: Match it with your branded name (example: Hotdogs)Review all the rest settings. Hope that helps,

Sign up form shows up right away, even though I want to appear it after delay

Hi there,Could there be a chance that the ‘When someone is exiting the page’ triggers the sign-up form in those cases you mention? I suppose that it’s triggered if your mouse is heading north.Another question.. is this sign-up form for desktop only?I’m not sure how the exit detect would work in mobile.. Would you consider testing settings like these instead? :)
